‘I was fuming' – Luke Littler reveals moment in meteoric darts career which still torments him

Littler noted that Humphries upped his game after the break, and he was particularly frustrated with how he lost the momentum.
Five-times major winner Littler admitted losing that match still stings more than any other in his rapid-fire career so far.
Littler told the Tays & Ginge Off Stream podcast: 'I'll probably say the Premier League final against Luke [Humphries].
'Yeah, because I was 5-2 up and I knew we would go off for a break after 10 legs, so we've still got 3 legs to play.
'So, I said to myself, if you go 7-3 up or 6-4 up, then I'm happy, but I went into the break at 5-5.
'I was fuming and then he just went on and won it.
'He definitely did up his game, because I'm pretty sure after the break, I think he went 7-5 up.
'So he came on stage, won the next two legs. I was just thinking what was going on.'
Teen sensation Littler also admitted he is a huge fan of Michael van Gerwen's walk-on.
Luke Littler launches new McDonald's burger as darts sensation, 18, adds fast food giants to lucrative brand deals
The Dutchman's pre-match entrance is accompanied by The White Stripes' 'Seven Nation Army'.
He added: 'I think one of the main walk-ons that I still love to this day is Michael van Gerwen's.
'I think last year he was a higher rank than me, so I walked on stage first, then he walks on, and just like the whole venue goes green, and he walks out, I still get a buzz off it.
'But now I'm a higher rank, so he walks first and waits for me.'

Martin Keown fires warning to Chelsea over Ethan Nwaneri transfer
Martin Keown has told Chelsea that they will fail in their attempt to sign Ethan Nwaneri from Arsenal. Nwaneri, who became the Premier League's youngest-ever player at 15 years and 181 days old with his first senior start for Arsenal in 2022, made 37 appearances in all competitions for Arteta's side last season. The 18-year-old has been tipped to become another Arsenal academy graduate to make a significant long-term impact in the first team, however, he has just a year left on his contract and could leave on a free transfer next summer if a new deal is not agreed. Chelsea have been already made an enquiry for Nwaneri during their negotiations over Arsenal's deal to sign Noni Madueke. Reports have also claimed that Nwaneri is considering his options due to concerns over his playing time in the upcoming campaign. Wake up to find news on your club in your inbox every morning with Metro's Football Newsletter. However, Keown is adamant that Nwaneri will get an opportunity to impress under Arteta and there is 'no doubt' that the midfielder will extend his contract with Arsenal. 'I take you back to the [FA] Cup final that Arteta won… in that game who sat on the bench and didn't come on? Saka. That looked painful. Martinelli… a lot of people were crying out for him to make a start, but he [Arteta] does it when he thinks it's right,' Keown told talkSPORT. More Trending 'I think Nwaneri is on the same path. He is a wonderful talent. He's being protected by Arteta. 'It's not to do with ability, he will get his chance. Okay, maybe it's a bartering situation for the contract but I've met the family, the father, very calm, lovely family. 'He's an intelligent boy, he will eventually sign for Arsenal, there is no doubt about it. 'I just think he wants to make sure he plays football, and that is healthy. He's doing it for the right reasons, this young man. I believe he is going to be a superstar at Arsenal.' For more stories like this, check our sport page. Love Island star reveals they are expecting a child in surprise update as they share adorable photos
Love Island star Theo Campbell revealed he is expecting a child in a surprise update on Tuesday. The hunk, 35, who first entered the villa back in 2017, shared a series of adorable photos to Instagram to announce the happy news. In a stunning photoshoot with his girlfriend Olivia Kaiser, 33, they posed by a lake with Olivia displaying her growing bump. The couple, who competed together on MTV's The Challenge: Battle of the Eras last year, revealed their baby is due December 5. They captioned the update: 'Our sweetest little secret. We've been enjoying some time off the grid — embracing the quiet, the love, and the magic of what's to come. 'Now it's time to let you in on the journey… Our little one is arriving soon.' The news comes one year after the couple first went Instagram official with their relationship. Theo also shares a son called Aries, who was born in February 2021, with influencer Sapphire Yhnell. At the time Theo revealed he 'wasn't expecting' to become a father at his age as he discussed becoming a parent for the first time. The reality star, who was 29 at the time, said that he had thought he'd wait until he was '35 or 36' before having children but that being a dad 'isn't as scary as he thought it would be'. Speaking on FUBAR Radio with hosts Bobby Norris and Brooke Odun, he opened up about his son. He said: 'Do you know what? I wasn't expecting it at first. I've always said, I was going to wait until I was 35, 36 and then just knock out three in a row. 'But it's not as scary as I thought. I thought it was the hardest thing in the world, the scariest thing, the biggest thing. It is the biggest thing, but it's not that hard. It's not that scary, you know?' The star kept the pregnancy a complete secret until the birth, something which 'wasn't easy', but admitted that he's pleased he was able to do so. Theo went on to explain that Sapphire, who is also mum to five-year-old son Tai, lives with their son in Wales. He said: 'My baby, he lives in Wales and I live in London. So on Sunday's I have to travel 130 miles, about two hours.' He revealed last year he was set to appear in the show's All Stars spin-off but was axed just hours before entering the villa. Theo even filmed the show's glossy promo before reportedly being downgraded from the main cast to a bombshell and replaced by fellow hunk Luis Morrison. He slammed the producers for 'wasting his time' on Friday in a since deleted social media post. Taking to X, formerly Twitter, he shared a clip of Kaz Kamwi following her shock dumping from the villa on Tuesday - amid the show's diversity row. Theo wrote: 'Imagine wasting 5 days of your life after being pursaded to start LI [Love Island] filming and the rest, for them to say a day before you're supposed to flay out, nah just come in 2 weeks... huh? No thanks'.
