Sunday Brunch guest rushes off set as host asks 'are you leaving us'
Sunday Brunch star Big Zuu was forced to make a quick exit from the Channel 4 programme as he raced to Glastonbury to perform with rapper AJ Tracey
The Sunday Brunch set was one guest down midway through the show, as Big Zuu made an early exit to dash for Glastonbury.
The rapper, 29, returned to the programme to present his quirky culinary creation: a "lasagne on pizza".
Eager to get moving, he breezed through his cooking demonstration, quickly making an exit to catch his ride to the iconic festival.
Big Zuu kicked off the show with Jim Moir, Aisling Bea, Nick Helm, Fuse ODG, Damon Hill, and Such Brave Girls duo Kat Sadler and Lizzie Davidson.
But as he was mid-preparation of his unique lasagne-pizza fusion, Simon interjected to query: "Are you leaving us after this?", reports the Manchester Evening News.
"I have to go yeah, I can't stay," admitted Big Zuu. "I'm going to Glastonbury."
With a chuckle, he added: "I've got to go to Glasto and find myself."
He shared that he was set to rock the stage with AJ Tracey, planning to head out from the Channel 4 set in his tour bus.
Big Zuu revealed: "I'm going to travel three hours for ten minutes [on stage]," while flaunting his all-ready wristband ahead of his 8pm slot.
"You've got time," Tim chimed in encouragingly, with a confident Big Zuu responding: "I'll make it."
Despite the rush to Glastonbury, recently notching up a goal at SoccerAid, and launching a Sky series with AJ Tracey, Big Zuu claimed during other parts of the show that his schedule was remarkably clear.
"This is the first time in my life I'm actually doing nothing, I'm just going to chill," he declared.
"I'm going to find myself, it's really good, it's nice to chill, I get to do lots of fun stuff, I like relaxing and just working on me."
Later in the programme, Kim Sadler from Such Brave Girls disclosed her notes about the show with the remark: "Zuu bunked off for Glasto," hinting that the star had taken time off prior to the break for the festival.
