Sunday Brunch guest rushes off set as host asks 'are you leaving us'

Sunday Brunch star Big Zuu was forced to make a quick exit from the Channel 4 programme as he raced to Glastonbury to perform with rapper AJ Tracey The Sunday Brunch set was one guest down midway through the show, as Big Zuu made an early exit to dash for Glastonbury. The rapper, 29, returned to the programme to present his quirky culinary creation: a "lasagne on pizza". ‌ Eager to get moving, he breezed through his cooking demonstration, quickly making an exit to catch his ride to the iconic festival. ‌ Big Zuu kicked off the show with Jim Moir, Aisling Bea, Nick Helm, Fuse ODG, Damon Hill, and Such Brave Girls duo Kat Sadler and Lizzie Davidson. But as he was mid-preparation of his unique lasagne-pizza fusion, Simon interjected to query: "Are you leaving us after this?", reports the Manchester Evening News. "I have to go yeah, I can't stay," admitted Big Zuu. "I'm going to Glastonbury." With a chuckle, he added: "I've got to go to Glasto and find myself." He shared that he was set to rock the stage with AJ Tracey, planning to head out from the Channel 4 set in his tour bus. ‌ Big Zuu revealed: "I'm going to travel three hours for ten minutes [on stage]," while flaunting his all-ready wristband ahead of his 8pm slot. "You've got time," Tim chimed in encouragingly, with a confident Big Zuu responding: "I'll make it." ‌ Despite the rush to Glastonbury, recently notching up a goal at SoccerAid, and launching a Sky series with AJ Tracey, Big Zuu claimed during other parts of the show that his schedule was remarkably clear. "This is the first time in my life I'm actually doing nothing, I'm just going to chill," he declared. "I'm going to find myself, it's really good, it's nice to chill, I get to do lots of fun stuff, I like relaxing and just working on me." Later in the programme, Kim Sadler from Such Brave Girls disclosed her notes about the show with the remark: "Zuu bunked off for Glasto," hinting that the star had taken time off prior to the break for the festival.

Recipe box launches The Bear inspired range that will help charity

Recipe box Gousto has announced the launch of 'The Bare', a new limited-edition recipe range that pays homage to dishes from Chicago-based, fan-favourite TV show The Bear, set to return for its fourth series later this month. But behind the recipes lies a more urgent purpose: raising money for Trussell to support people who'd otherwise go without the bare essentials this summer. The initiative comes as Trussell's 'The Cost of Hardship & Hunger' report reveals that a record 1 in 7 people across the UK now face severe hardship, including 6.3 million adults and 3 million children. Over the summer, food banks in the Trussell community are expected to support a child with emergency food every 41 seconds. Orders from 'The Bare' range will help Trussell support families. 'The Bare' features three recipes inspired by the hit culinary TV show: Chicago-Style Beef Sandwich & Fries, Friends & Family Spaghetti with Mozzarella Garlic Bread, and even THAT viral Crisp-Topped Omelette with Fries & Salad. Gousto has transformed the cult favourites into simple, stress-free meals with easy-to-follow recipe cards and pre-measured ingredients. Timo Boldt, Founder and CEO of Gousto, said: "Ensuring more families have access to fresh, good food has always been part of our purpose to have a positive impact on people and the planet. With this screen-worthy recipe range, we're making it easy for food lovers to recreate cult-favourite dishes at home, while supporting the vital work of food banks in the Trussell community". Gousto has also partnered with Big Zuu to launch 'The Bare'. Big Zuu said: 'Getting behind 'The Bare' was a no-brainer for me. It's about more than just flavours; it's about making some noise for people going without the basics. I've always believed good food should be for everyone, and teaming up with Gousto and Trussell on this campaign means we're getting real support to families who need it. And if you're asking – THAT Crispy Omelette with Fries is my go-to. It's easy, full of flavour and the ultimate comfort food.'

Martin Compston 'gutted' not to play but praises 'brilliant' Soccer Aid

Martin Compston admitted he was 'gutted' not to feature in Soccer Aid but praised a 'brilliant' victory for his rest of the world side. Sunday's match at Old Trafford, which saw an England team of former professionals and celebrities take on Soccer Aid World XI FC, raised more than £15m for the aid organisation. Last Of Us star Bella Ramsey joined this year's England team along with comedian Paddy McGuinness, former Manchester United player Gary Neville and singer Tom Grennan. Former Rangers star Jermain Defoe bagged a brace, while Wayne Rooney and Toni Duggan also netted for the hosts. The game ended with a 5-4 win for the Soccer Aid World XI team, with the final goal being scored by rapper and TV chef Big Zuu. Among the stars of the game was former Argentina and Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez, who scored four goals in fifteen minutes to swing the result in favour of the World XI. Prior to lifting the trophy in the air, singer Robbie Williams – who co-founded the charity game in 2006 – announced this year's had raised £15,280,163. Actor Martin Compston, who was part of the World XI's backroom staff, admitted he was gutted not to play but praised the game's 'good entertainment'. 'It's always good to beat the English on their home turn but it was brilliant, fair play to the team, what a comeback', he said. 'We knew we had the beating of them second half because we hung in there, they usually start with their strongest team and ours is usually the second half. 'Second goal, half time, took the wind out our sails a wee bit, but I mean, when you have Carlos Tevez up front, you've always got a chance. Big Zuu ,what a winner! 'Brilliant, it was good entertainment, great fun. 'Honestly, I'm gutted I can't play. I'm grateful I get to be working, with insurance and stuff, so I can't play. So I mean that's devastating. 'Look at this pitch – it's beautiful. I mean, it's a dream to play in front of 70,000 people, so I was gutted for that. But I was actually more nervous on the sideline because you feel like you can't affect the game, and you know, 3-0 down, you start to worry a bit, but once we got that first one, I thought we were alright, so it was brilliant.' Since the fundraising match was first founded nearly two decades ago, it has raised more than £106m. Sam Thompson, 32, leaves Soccer Aid party with sports presenter Jolie Sharpe, 23 - after narrowly avoiding Louis Tomlinson on the pitch

Sam Thompson was seen departing the Soccer Aid party with sports presenter Jolie Sharpe, following England's loss on Sunday. The charity match at Old Trafford saw rapper Big Zuu score the winning goal at Soccer Aid to handing the World XI a 4-5 win, with a whopping £15M raised for Unicef. And after narrowly avoiding ex Zara McDermott's new man Louis Tomlinson on the pitch, Sam, 32, let his hair down and celebrated the charity game. He and Jolie, 23, - who looked glam in a white ruffled mini skirt and denim jacket - were pictured leaving the hotel entrance. The I'm A Celebrity star cut a casual figure in a dark grey co-ord and white T-shirt, teamed with trendy trainers. Jolie has her own marketing agency called JGS Live. Her marketing agency is an official partner of TikTok specialising in live selling, has worked with British Airways, Chelsea Football Club and The Economist. Sam and Louis, 33, who played on the English squad reportedly held a 'peace dinner' before the match to 'ease awkwardness' over Louis dating Sam's ex Zara, 28. Despite the loss both appeared in high spirits despite the loss as they and their teammates were greeted with cheers from waiting fans at the hotel. During the game the pair managed to avoid an awkward on pitch run-in amid their tangled love lives. Sam, who had been forced to pull out of playing after he suffered a string of injuries, including a calf injury, after his 260-mile challenge, made a surprise last minute appearance during the final moments of the game. He was called onto the pitch, only after Louis had left, meaning they avoided coming face-to-face in front of the huge crowd. The pair's dinner reportedly took place at Champneys in Tring, Herts with their other teammates in a bid to keep the peace ahead of the big game. A source told The Sun: 'There is no beef between the pair and they're both going to ensure their love lives don't distract from such a big charity spectacle. 'They are fully aware that their every move is being scrutinised and they've broken bread with their teammates, so it'll be smooth sailing on the day.' Instead of playing the game, Sam been helping from the sidelines as a coach after getting injured. Opening up about his injury, he spoke to This Morning hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary. He said: 'I'm still very sore, still got the torn calf, however I am here at Soccer Aid HQ and it does not get better than this. 'We've still got the management team of England, we've got Vicky McClure, Tyson Fury, who's stepping into some new shoes and Harry Redknapp...' He continued: 'But also because I'm not going to be able to run around, you've also got me, part of the management team. Come on baby!' Late last year Sam split with former Love Island star Zara after five years together. It was then revealed in March how Zara had moved on with former One Direction singer Louis. Late last year I'm A Celebrity champ Sam split with former Love Island star Zara after five years together, before she moved on with Louie Despite the loss both appeared in high spirits despite the loss as they and their teammates were greeted with cheers from waiting fans During an episode of their podcast last month, Pete Wicks, 37, teased Sam about the prospect of the potentially awkward encounter between him and Louis. The TOWIE star asked his co-host: 'You're really going through it with the whole f****** body and dieting and training loads. Is that for Soccer Aid?' But, not dropping the subject, Pete then asked: 'Any kind of people in there who you're looking forward to playing with?' 'Loads,' Sam laughed: 'Tom Grennan. I'm really looking forward to playing alongside Wayne Rooney, Tyson Fury's the manager. I can't wait'. Pete joked: 'I mean that's gonna be f****** amazing. Make sure you get him on side though because you may need him in your corner in case you fall out with anyone. Not that you will but just in case there's any rivalries or anything. 'You know, you have to train together and it's a lot, you know when you're kind of in close quarters with someone like that. All sorts gets brought up. Anyway...'
