I Wore This Tinted Sunscreen in Place of Foundation Every Day on My Turks and Caicos Vacation—and It's Only $20
So when Versed's Multi-serum Skin Tint SPF 40 launched, I was instantly intrigued. I've trusted Versed for years. The brand consistently delivers effective skincare at an approachable price, and its skin tint combines foundation and mineral SPF 40 into one multitasking base layer to create a lightweight no-brainer for beach vacations. It's formulated with reef-safe zinc oxide and hyaluronic acid adds a boost of hydration. $20 at Target $20 at Versedskin.com
I took it with me on a recent trip to Turks and Caicos. Bringing a brand-new product on vacation is always a bit of a gamble, but I was impressed from the first use. The texture is thicker than my usual foundation, but it is still smooth and blendable. I'd compare it more to a full-coverage foundation than a tinted moisturizer, which means you need less product than expected, and it doesn't feel greasy or leave a white cast. It sank right in and didn't feel heavy, all while covering redness and acne scars, so I didn't feel the need to layer any other makeup on top.
I wore it for a full day in the sun, and the full coverage helped me feel protected from the intense UV index. Even speeding through the turquoise water in high winds, it didn't pill or sweat off. I reapplied a more traditional sunscreen later in the day (for convenience), but when I got back to my villa, my skin still looked blurred, and I hadn't burned. $20 at Target $20 at Versedskin.com
Another reason this National Rosacea Society-approved product earned a permanent spot in my travel makeup case? It plays well with others. My go-to blush and highlighter layered smoothly over it without pilling. Available in 14 shades with cool, warm, and neutral undertone options, I first tried shade 3P, which ended up being too light, especially once my skin picked up some sun. Shade 5N (a light-medium with neutral undertones) was just right.
Some reviewers say the formula feels oily at first, and I felt that initially, too. But it quickly absorbed into a matte, weightless finish. I'm not the only fan. Despite this being a newer product, it already has glowing reviews from people with different skin types. One shopper with an 'aging, uneven skin tone' called it 'the most natural skin tint SPF' they've used. Another reviewer with sensitive, combination skin said it gives their 'tan skin just enough color to look polished and pulled together on a low-key day.' $20 at Target $20 at Versedskin.com
Overall, shoppers love its long-lasting, natural-looking finish. 'Okay, so this is my skin, but better! The fact that this skin tint feels like nothing is the most important thing to me,' one reviewer shared. 'With the added skincare ingredients, it's just chef's kiss.' She even noted her sister planned to buy her own after trying it.
At just $20 for a formula that combines skincare, SPF, and foundation, this Versed skin tint is an easy win for your travel toiletry bag. Add it to your cart before your next warm-weather trip—or read on for more top-rated SPF products.

This Beach in the Dominican Republic Is One of the Caribbean's Best-kept Secrets—and It Just Got 2 New All-inclusive Resorts
In a destination as popular as the Dominican Republic, it can be hard to imagine that there are any places that could still be flying under the radar. But there's one stretch of dreamy white sand with clear, turquoise waters that has been largely overlooked: Playa Costa Esmeralda. Best of all? The area will welcome two new splashy, all-inclusive hotels. Hyatt is set to open Secrets Playa Esmeralda, an adults-only resort, on August 1, and its family-friendly alternative, Dreams Playa Esmeralda, on September 1. Both resorts are located side-by-side on Playa Costa Esmerelda, on the Dominican Republic's northern coast. 'What makes Secrets and Dreams Playa Esmeralda truly exceptional is their location, set along the untouched, undiscovered shores of Playa Esmeralda in the Dominican Republic,' said Angel Medina, the resort's general manager, in an interview with Travel + Leisure. 'This area has remained largely under the radar, allowing guests to experience a side of the country few have seen: secluded beaches, lush landscapes, and a sense of serene remoteness that feels worlds away from the typical resort scene.' Secrets Playa Esmeralda has 500 suites with private balconies or terraces, offering pool, garden, or ocean views. Guests can dine at 10 restaurants, none of which require an advanced reservation. Options range from the casual seaside Beach Club, which serves Latin-Caribbean fusion cuisine, to the upscale Bordeaux, an à la carte French restaurant with a wine cellar. As part of Hyatt's Unlimited-Luxury inclusions, travelers enjoy top-shelf drinks, whether it's at the swim-up bar Manatees or at the open-air Piano Bar, where they can listen to live music while enjoying craft cocktails. If you have little ones in tow, Dreams Playa Esmeralda is located right next to Secrets. It also has 500 suites, many of which have either ocean views or swim-out pool access. Family-friendly highlights include a waterpark with two slides and a splash zone, a supervised kids' club for children aged three through 12, and a separate hangout program for teens. Babysitting services are available as well. As for dining, there are nine restaurants and seven bars. Options include Himitsu with teppanyaki-style cuisine, El Patio, a casually elegant Mexican eatery, and Tides, a poolside grill serving kid-friendly fare like burgers and hot dogs. Can't sleep? Head to Dolce, the coffee shop/ice cream parlor open around the clock and offering late-night bites. 'Whether they're soaking up a romantic sunset at Secrets or laughing poolside with family at Dreams, the experience should feel effortless, enriching, and unforgettable,' added Medina. 'Above all, we want every guest to feel that they've discovered something rare and special in Playa Esmeralda, a destination and experience that stays with them long after they return home.' With the Caribbean Sea to the north and a mountain range to the south, Miches, the nearest town to Playa Costa Esmeralda, has stayed relatively unnoticed and is an ideal destination for travelers seeking a more laid-back Caribbean vacation . Nearby attractions include Montaña Ronda, a peaceful mountain where visitors can hike, zip line, or take pictures from a swing that overlooks the valley, and Los Haitises National Park. Visitors to this beautiful corner of the Dominican Republic also enjoy over 30 miles of white-sand beaches, including those at the picture-perfect Samaná Bay. There's been a recent surge of hotel openings in this area. Marriott soft-launched Marriott Miches Beach, An All-Inclusive Resort in May, Hilton opened Zemi Miches Punta Cana All-Inclusive Resort at the end of June, and Four Seasons Resort Dominican Republic at Tropicalia is slated to open in 2026. The nearest and most convenient international airport to Playa Costa Esmeralda is Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ), a little over 60 miles away. Nightly rates at Secrets Playa Esmeralda start from $230, and from $190 at Dreams Playa Esmeralda .

This yogurt brand is offering people $5,000 to take time off
The popular Icelandic skyr yogurt brand, siggi's, wants Americans to take their paid time off. No excuses! But siggi's is doing more than just urging their own employees to take their PTO, they're offering to foot the bill for any hard worker's vacay. The brand just announced a new contest that's easy to enter and comes with a pretty amazing prize: $5,000 and a $1,000 flight voucher. All you have to do is tell the siggi's, in a few sentences (200-300 words) why you haven't used all your PTO in the past. A siggi's spokesperson told Fast Company that the inspiration for the challenge was, quite simply, the normalization of a society that never stops working. 'At siggi's, we believe that less sets you free. In our product, that means less sugar and simple ingredients. But that belief extends beyond food.' The spokesperson continued, 'In a culture obsessed with doing more, working more, and sometimes, burning out … siggi's is on a mission to help people find their greatness by doing less. That is where the PT-Yo Program was born.' Of course, there may be a ton of reasons why so many Americans (62%, according to a 2024 report) may leave vacation days unused, like competitive culture, stress or guilt about taking time off, but the days add up. They also have a massive price tag. Last year, Americans had more than $312 billion in untouched vacation days. The yogurt brand believes that trend is worrying. 'As an entrepreneur, I know how hard it is to step away,' said Siggi Hilmarsson, founder of siggi's in a press release. 'But stepping away is where the real breakthroughs happen. This summer, we're motivating people to take their time—and take it seriously.' The brand also recently debuted a billboard in New York City's Times Square urging workers to use their PTO. Because, if they don't, well, nobody wins. However, if you've managed to slack off on slacking off in the past, you can still be one of 10 people to win siggi's PTO challenge. According to the spokesperson, contestants need to be over 18, live in the U.S. (excluding Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and all other territories and possessions outside of the continental U.S), and basically just want to take an epic (and well-earned) vacation.

Why American Express Travel Will Stop Selling Flight and Hotel Packages: Exclusive
American Express Travel began selling vacation packages — initially sourced from Travelocity, now owned by Expedia — in 2004. They lost their luster as a momentous value-add to card members. American Express Travel will stop selling flight and hotel packages as of July 31, according to a notice on its website. These bundled deals, which have long been powered by Expedia, will no longer be available — though card members will still be able to book flights and hotels separately. American Express Travel began offering packages through Travelocity (now owned by Expedia) more than 20 years ago. The comp
