D.L. Hughley Rips 'Morally Bankrupt' Fans For Celebrating Diddy Verdict
Source: Michael S. Schwartz / Getty The moment Sean 'Diddy' Combs was found not guilty on the most serious charges in his sex trafficking and racketeering trial, we all should have expected social media to become an annoying place. We should have known the 'Free Tory' segment of the Black manosphere , as well as the same Black people who are still caping for R. Kelly and Bill Cosby, would erupt in celebration over what they consider vindication for the disgraced Bad Boy mogul. (I'm looking at you, Ray J and Boosie Badazz.) This is why it's gratifying to hear at least one Black male celebrity speak out against celebrations of the Diddy verdict. During a recent sit-down with TMZ, comedian D.L. Hughley expressed that while he doesn't believe Combs was guilty of everything he was charged with, people should be celebrating justice — if they truly think justice is what happened here — not the verdict itself. Hughley appears to be of the opinion that Diddy was overcharged, but he also acknowledged that the trial revealed 'stuff that is amoral.' 'I think that it's clear that Puffy wasn't charged for the things he did. He was charged in this vague, amorphous…the judge even during the trial, you could see he was having a hard time buying it,' Hughley explained. 'I think it shows two things: money will buy a great defense. I think if he's charged and he has a public defender, he's convicted.' 'They didn't charge him for domestic abuse. They charged him for all of these terms that they just couldn't prove,' he continued. As for the people who are celebrating Diddy's victory in court, Hughley didn't bother mincing words in explaining, essentially, that those people are trash. 'I think there are people who are morally bankrupt. I say that all the time,' he said. 'Even if Puffy wasn't convicted of the most serious [crimes], he still whooped a woman in front of everybody,' Hughley continued. 'Now he wasn't charged for that, and the feds wouldn't charge him for that. Obviously, the feds wouldn't be involved in something like that. But it speaks to who we are as a society. Even if he's not guilty of the crimes charged, he is a horrible dude. I can root for a man to get justice, that's different than celebrating this verdict. They're two different things.' Look, D.L. Hughley is not a legal expert — nor are most of the people who were in the streets acting like the ghost of Nelson Mandela was just freed from prison — but he seems to understand basic humanity perfectly well. So, there's that. See social media's reaction to the verdict below. SEE ALSO D.L. Hughley Rips 'Morally Bankrupt' Fans For Celebrating Diddy Verdict was originally published on

Attorney Suggests Bravo ‘Playing With Fire' Keeping Jax Taylor Employed
Jax Taylor has always had something of a bad boy image, but over the years he's gotten progressively worse. Vanderpump Rules viewers have seen him constantly getting into drunken fights. He cheated on his girlfriends. He had sex with his buddy Tom Sandoval's then-girlfriend Kristen Doute, while Tom slept in the next room. Even though his now-estranged wife Brittany Cartwright was optimistic going into their marriage, his verbal and physical abuse got progressively worse over the years. Finally, she'd had enough of his toxic behavior and moved out, taking their son Cruz with her. Not only was Britt done with Jax's abuse, but viewers have grown increasingly disgusted by his behavior. Has Jax become a liability for Bravo? Finally, the situation came to a head in Summer 2024 when Bravo allegedly forced The Valley star into a rehab facility for his mental health issues. While there, Jax also admitted to a years-long cocaine addiction. Even though he was in rehab, Jax continued to torture his estranged wife. Not only was he constantly rage texting her, but he was illegally spying on her through the security cameras in their home. He also stopped paying the mortgage on their home, putting his wife and son in danger of eviction. Further, Brittany claimed Jax threw a coffee table at her, leaving her bruised, when he discovered texts between her and another man. Even though they were separated at the time and Jax was seeing other women, he justified his violent behavior. 'I lost all control, and I saw red,' he claimed. 'But show me a guy that wouldn't handle the situation the way I handled it.' Despite fans demanding his termination, an insider told The U.S. Sun that Bravo has no plans to fire Jax. LA attorney Jamie E. Wright says Bravo is 'playing with fire' by keeping him on the payroll. 'They continue to roll cameras while witnessing a pattern of increasing, documented abuse, manipulation, and psychological warfare,' he said. 'When does amusement become a liability? … Legally speaking, Bravo might be held partially accountable if it is established that they were aware of the abuse, witnessed it happening in real time, and took no action to stop it.' The Valley airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo in the US and streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland. TELL US – DO YOU THINK JAX SHOULD BE FIRED? Two men were arrested and another was injured after the suspects allegedly cut the line at a Pokémon card sale in California, sparking an all-out brawl that ended in a brutal stabbing. Pokémon fans and scalpers lined up bright and early outside a GameStop in the town of Colma on Saturday for a highly anticipated restock of the franchise's coveted trading cards. 5 Two men were arrested after a brawl outside a GameStop over Pokémon cards. KRON All it took was one wrong step, and suddenly three men were fighting on the sidewalk. 5 The GameStop had restocked the trading cards that morning. 'I apologized and everything,' OrellanasFlores said while another man tried to push the victim away. 'Nah, get your hands off me,' the victim said. The victim lunged to try and reach OrellanasFlores before pivoting and smacking 27-year-old Isaiah Calles across the face. 5 Miguel OrellanasFlores allegedly tried to cut the line. KRON OrellanasFlores and Calles pounced on the victim and allegedly shoved him to the ground while frantic bystanders tried to intervene. 'There's kids watching!' one woman shouted as she set her belongings down and tried to pull them apart. All three men scrambled back to their feet, throwing blind punches until they collapsed in a pile on the ground. Somewhere in the mix, OrellanasFlores grabbed a mason jar and smashed it on the back of the victim's head, according to the CPD. Calles, meanwhile, reached for one of the shards and allegedly stabbed the victim multiple times. 5 The victim was hit on the back of the head with a mason jar, then stabbed repeatedly with a glass shard. Pokémon cards tend to sell for an hefty prices online, both because of the price gouging spurred by scalping and the high value of some 'special illustration rare' and 'hyper rare' cards. Matters in the trading card world have only been complicated by the worth placed on professional sports authenticator, or PSA, cards. 5 The two men fled the scene but were quickly caught after the victim turned over photos of their vehicles to police. KRON Cards rated a PSA 10 can be worth thousands of dollars, depending on the subject and rarity. Still, clinching a perfect card is rare and comes down to aspects outside of the collector's control, including how the card is printed and the logo's centering. The child-friendly gambling ploy drives some people to desperate measures. In late May, two hammer-wielding crooks nabbed thousands of dollars worth of the collectible cards in Detroit. The cards, locked in a display case, were rare ones that have been out of print for years. In January, a restock at a Los Angeles Costco turned violent as shoppers fought just to grab the cards off the shelves, still having to trek through the chaos to the cash register before they were home free.
