Warriors considered trading for LeBron James recently

When LeBron James decided to exercise his player option for the 2025-26 season on June 29, his agent, Rich Paul, issued a cryptic statement that acknowledged the Los Angeles Lakers are building for the future and that James wants to be in a situation where he can contend for the NBA championship. Many have interpreted that statement as being a prelude to a possible trade request. Executing a trade that would send James to a team that would have enough talent left over to compete for the world title would be very difficult, especially since James has a very rare no-trade clause in his contract. According to ESPN's Bobby Marks, there may not even be a trade market for the 40-year-old high-maintenance superstar. However, a recent ESPN report indicated that there were some teams that thought about shooting their shot at landing James in a trade. One of those teams was the Golden State Warriors. "A handful of teams -- including the Golden State Warriors, who tried to trade for James in 2023-24 -- considered again whether to make an offer, sources said," wrote Ramona Shelburne and Brian Windhorst. The Warriors had previously contacted the Lakers about trading for James — once this past season just after the Lakers acquired Luka Doncic, and once previously just before the 2023-24 trade deadline. James is good friends with Warriors mainstays Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, and he has hinted in the past that he would love to play on the same team as Curry. The two superstars did play together last summer as members of Team USA men's basketball and helped lead the squad to an Olympic gold medal. The NBA's all-time leading scorer has been quiet lately, which has lent a bit of mystery to the whole situation between his camp and the Lakers. Meanwhile, the team has gotten a bit closer to championship contention by signing center Deandre Ayton and forward Jake LaRavia as free agents.

Buccaneers' Tight End Missing From Elite List

Buccaneers' Tight End Missing From Elite List originally appeared on Athlon Sports. While some Tampa Bay Buccaneers players are finally starting to garner some national attention, others are not. This offseason, we've seen the likes of Mike Evans, Bucky Irving, Tristan Wirfs, Baker Mayfield, Antoine Winfield Jr. and Jamel Dean honored on "best of" lists representing Tampa Bay. Advertisement But as we peruse ESPN's top 10 tight ends in the NFL ahead of the 2025 season, there's no Bucs player to be found - no Cade Otton. Is that deserved? Maybe. Otton is good. He's good for the Bucs. But is he elite? Certainly an argument could be made that he's not. Especially with his history of drops. Otton was a fourth-round pick by the Bucs in 2022 out of then-Pac-12 powerhouse Washington. He had an impressive rookie campaign with 391 yards and two touchdowns, but suffered from drops. He posted just 42 catches on 65 targets with five drops, leading all tight ends. The next season wasn't much better, with three drops on 67 targets, and he got worse last season. In 2024, Otton posted 59 catches on 87 targets with 600 yards and four touchdowns but eight drops. Advertisement If Otton can clean up his pass catching, he'd be a far more effective offensive tool for Mayfield and the Bucs. In ProFootballFocus' rankings earlier this season, Otton was No. 20 overall, which actually sounds a little high, honestly. "Otton's Achilles' heel is drops. He has the third most (11) at the position across the past two years. His 63.1 PFF receiving grade in 2024 was a career high and also marks the first time he generated more than 1 yard per route run (1.31). If he can hang on to the ball (also three fumbles the past two years), Otton has the skills to rise on this list." Aryna Sabalenka's Millionaire Boyfriend Goes Viral At Wimbledon

Aryna Sabalenka's Millionaire Boyfriend Goes Viral At Wimbledon originally appeared on The Spun. Aryna Sabalenka is facing an uphill climb to win this year's championship at Wimbledon. The world No. 1 ranked player has her hands full against American tennis star Amanda Anisimova. Advertisement Sabalenka suffered a scare at Centre Court during the quarterfinals, defeating Laura Siegemund 4-6, 6-2, 6-4. Following her win over Siegemund, she told reporters that she learned from her meltdown against Coco Gauff at the French Open. "I think there's a big possibility that I would have lost this match if I didn't learn that lesson at the French Open," Sabalenka said. "In some moments I just ... kept reminding myself, 'Come on, it's the quarterfinal of Wimbledon, you cannot give up, you cannot let the emotions just take over you and lose another match.'" While the spotlight will be firmly on Sabalenka throughout the Wimbledon Championships, it appears her boyfriend has everyone's attention this Thursday. Jul 8, 2025; Wimbledon, United Kingdom; Aryna Sabalenka at her post match interview after winning her match against Laura Siegemund of Germany on day nine at All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Mullane-Imagn Images. Sabalenka's boyfriend, entrepreneur Georgios Frangulis, has been by her side since April of 2024. Last summer, he celebrated her victory at the US Open. Advertisement "There was a really tough period where I was really happy to have him by my side, always cheering me up, always making sure that we are doing some fun stuff," Sabalenka said. Frangulis is the founder of Oakberry, a global açaí brand that originated in his home country of Brazil. Even though Frangulis has generated millions of dollars through Oakberry, he showed up to the Wimbledon semifinals in a pretty odd outfit. During the first set of Sabalenka's match, he was spotted in her box wearing a blank tank top. Fans usually dress their best at Wimbledon. After all, it's one of the most prestigious tournaments in all of sports. Advertisement That being said, Frangulis is getting ripped on social media for his lackluster outfit. If Sabalenka advances to the final, Frangulis may want to go with a different look for that match.
