Joan Jett, Ludacris, Cheap Trick to headline Taste of Minnesota
On Wednesday, organizers unveiled its most star-studded lineup since the festival returned from an eight-year hiatus in 2023, even if two of the top-billed names played big outdoor shows in the Twin Cities last year.
Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, Cheap Trick, and Ludacris will headline the Taste's 2025 lineup.
Here's the complete lineup for this summer's Taste of Minnesota.

Additionally, the festival will announce two more stages featuring local acts in the near future.
As always, the Taste of Minnesota is a free event that also features food trucks, visual artists, and other performers showcasing the state's creative community.
New in 2025, the Taste of Minnesota is adding VIP pass tiers, because that's what festivals do. The tickets include a pair of drink tickets, a reserved viewing area, happy hour from 2–4 p.m. each day, a private bar, and private air-conditioned bathrooms. Those tickets, available on April 8, are $200 for a single day or $350 for the weekend.

Elizabeth Olsen's in the highest-stakes love triangle ever in Eternity trailer
A24's latest niche market is the love triangle. See: Past Lives, Challengers, and Materialists (yeah, those are all written by the same married couple, what of it?). But on Tuesday they debuted the love triangle to end all love triangles, literally. In the Eternity trailer, Joan (Elizabeth Olsen) wakes up in the afterlife and immediately faces the highest-stakes choice she'll ever make: spend eternity with her second husband of many decades Larry (Miles Teller), or her first husband who died young (Callum Turner)? If that wasn't intense enough, Olsen only has one week to decide between the two loves of her life. It's unclear why Turner got to hang around 'the Junction' for decades waiting for Joan to show up while Joan only gets days to choose, but it does allow Turner some swoon-worthy moments: 'When eternity's on the line, seems like nothing,' he says of the long wait for his wife. 'That's a good opener,' Joan has to admit. Larry may find it tough to compete with his wife's long-lost war hero husband, but as he insists, he can be romantic too. 'I don't care where we end up, just as long as we're together,' he tells Joan, adding later, 'Knowing you're happy makes me happy.' The afterlife (or at least 'the Junction') in Eternity has a Good Place-esque cutesy cheer coupled with a capitalistic sense of competition—not just between eternal companions, but also among the possible locales to spend forever. There are sign spinners and spokespeople representing places like 'Smoker's World,' 'Studio 54 World,' or 'Man Free World.' We also meet two afterlife coordinators, played by the delightful duo John Early and Oscar winner Da'Vine Joy Randolph. David Freyne (Dating Amber) directed the film from a script he co-wrote with Pat Cunnane (Designated Survivor). Eternity will have its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival in September before debuting in theaters in November. More from A.V. Elizabeth Olsen Navigates an Afterlife Love Triangle in ‘Eternity' Trailer
In the A24 film Eternity, Joan (Elizabeth Olsen) is a woman of her word. When she married her husband Larry (Miles Teller), the phrase 'till death do us part' meant something to her. It meant something to her first husband Luke (Callum Turner), too, but his life being claimed while he was away at war assured it was a short-lived agreement. What Joan didn't anticipate, however, was that her promise to both men would extend to the afterlife. In the latest Eternity trailer, Larry arrives at the junction, essentially a train platform where souls can decide where they want to spend the rest of eternity. They have one week to make their decision. Larry is thrilled when he reunites with Joan, knowing they can make the choice together. But Luke has been waiting decades to do the same. 'I never dreamt you this clearly,' Joan tells Luke, who says she's exactly how he's dreamt her during all of their years apart. From there, the afterlife romance olympics begin. Luke has all of the slick one-liners and the advantage of 67 years of practice. Larry, on the other hand, has high hopes and his fingers crossed. The choice is up to Joan, but it won't be an easy one. 'It's real fun,' Olsen told Extra about the film earlier this year. 'It's a callback to Billy Wilder films. I think it's gonna be a special romantic comedy that we're all really proud of. I'm excited for it to come out this year.' Eternity is scheduled for theatrical release in November. The film written by Pat Cunnane and director David Freyne also stars Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Olga Merediz, and John Early. Watch: 'Eternity' trailer finds Elizabeth Olsen in afterlife love triangle
July 29 (UPI) -- Elizabeth Olsen finds herself in an afterlife love triangle with her two dead husbands in the new film Eternity. In a trailer released Tuesday, viewers see Miles Teller's character wake up on a train only to realize, upon reaching the station, that he has died. He quickly reunites with Olsen's character, Joan, who has also passed away. The pair seem relieved to have found one another before Joan's first love (Callum Turner) arrives on the scene. "In an afterlife where souls have one week to decide where to spend eternity, Joan is faced with the impossible choice between the man she spent her life with and her first love, who died young and has waited decades for her to arrive," an official synopsis reads. The film will arrive in theaters later this year, but a specific release date has not yet been announced. John Early, Olga Merediz and Da'Vine Joy Randolph also star. David Freyne directs from a script he wrote with Pat Cunnane.
