Elizabeth Olsen's in the highest-stakes love triangle ever in Eternity trailer
If that wasn't intense enough, Olsen only has one week to decide between the two loves of her life. It's unclear why Turner got to hang around 'the Junction' for decades waiting for Joan to show up while Joan only gets days to choose, but it does allow Turner some swoon-worthy moments: 'When eternity's on the line, seems like nothing,' he says of the long wait for his wife. 'That's a good opener,' Joan has to admit. Larry may find it tough to compete with his wife's long-lost war hero husband, but as he insists, he can be romantic too. 'I don't care where we end up, just as long as we're together,' he tells Joan, adding later, 'Knowing you're happy makes me happy.'
The afterlife (or at least 'the Junction') in Eternity has a Good Place-esque cutesy cheer coupled with a capitalistic sense of competition—not just between eternal companions, but also among the possible locales to spend forever. There are sign spinners and spokespeople representing places like 'Smoker's World,' 'Studio 54 World,' or 'Man Free World.' We also meet two afterlife coordinators, played by the delightful duo John Early and Oscar winner Da'Vine Joy Randolph. David Freyne (Dating Amber) directed the film from a script he co-wrote with Pat Cunnane (Designated Survivor). Eternity will have its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival in September before debuting in theaters in November.

Crystal Lake Finds Its Jason Voorhees Actor for Friday the 13th Prequel
Peacock has finally enlisted the young actor who will play the role of Jason Voorhees in its highly anticipated Friday the 13th prequel series, . In addition, Nick Cordileone (Warrior), Joy Suprano (Fleishman is in Trouble), Danielle Kotch (Director's Cut), and Phoenix Parnevik (Bel-Air) have also been tapped as recurring guest stars for the respective roles of Ralph, Rita, Claudette, and Barry. Crystal Lake is created and written by showrunner Brad Caleb Kane (It: Welcome to Derry, Tokyo Vice, Warrior). Further details about the plot are still being kept under wraps. It is executive produced by Kane, A24, Marc Toberoff, Victor Miller, Robert M. Barsamian, Robert P. Barsamian, Stuart Manashil, Tyson Bidner, and Michael Lennox. The directing line-up includes Michael Lennox (101-103), Celine Held & Logan George (104-106), and Quyen Tran (107-108). Who is playing Jason Vorhees in the Crystal Lake prequel? According to Variety, Chucky star Callum Vinson has officially been cast to portray the role of Jason Voorhees in the Crystal Lake series, with Linda Cardellini (Scooby-Doo movies, Dead to Me) set to play his character's mother Pamela Voorhees. Vinson will also be appearing as a recurring guest star. In the upcoming prequel series, Cardellini will play the iconic Pamela Voorhees, who is known as the formidable mother of fan-favorite killer Jason Voorhees. Besides Cardellini, previously announced cast members also include William Catlett (Abigail) as Levon Brooks, Devin Kessler (Godfather of Harlem) as Briana Brooks, Cameron Scoggins (Shades of Blue) as Dorf, and newcomer Gwendolyn Sundstrom as Grace. In the original 1980 movie, the character of police officer Dorf was first played by Ron Millkie. In the first installment of film franchise, Mrs. Voorhees was the first camp killer who was trying to avenge the death of her son, whom she thought had died from drowning. The character was originally played by Betsy Palmer in the 1980 movie. This marks the 2nd time that the iconic horror franchise will have a TV adaptation, 45 years after its debut. This week in Screen Time, I hype up how funny and great Bad Bunny was in Happy Gilmore 2. I also share what's all over my FYP — like a rom-com with Elizabeth Olsen and the third Avatar movie dropping amazing trailers — and what we've got going on over on BuzzFeed Celeb's YouTube channel, plus so much more. Listen, I even find time to share the classic Hollywood movies I think everyone should watch. Thanks for joining me! Happy Gilmore 2 — watch for: Bad Bunny and about 1,000 other cameos Streaming on Netflix I actually hadn't seen Happy Gilmore before this week. I know. I know. It was a big hole in my movie knowledge. So, I watched it, and then I dove right into Happy Gilmore 2. While I still like the original more, this was a very solid Adam Sandler movie, and what made it so great was how jam-packed it was with cameos. From real golf pros, like Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler, to actors and other famous figures, like Benny Safdie, Margaret Qualley, Steve Buscemi, Eminem, Travis Kelce, Post Malone, and more. It's really a who's who of who you can spot in this movie. While Sandler, Christopher McDonald, and Julie Bowen slip back into their roles of Happy, Shooter McGavin, and Virginia perfectly, it's actually Bad Bunny who stole this movie for me. He plays Happy's new caddy, Oscar, and he's so effortlessly funny. He fits into this movie so well, especially alongside Marcello Hernández as Oscar's cousin. Overall, it's a very fun movie that's worth watching. Adolescence — watch for: The most chilling debut performance from Owen Cooper Streaming on Netflix Leading into this year's Emmy Awards in September, I figured I would spotlight the Emmy-nominated shows that you should watch (or rewatch) before then. So, this week, I'm hyping up Adolescence, which I consider one of the best Netflix limited series in recent memory. Told in just four transfixing episodes that are one continuous shot, the series follows Jamie (Owen Cooper), a 13-year-old, who is arrested and accused of murdering his classmate. Now, his family, therapist, and the detective in charge are trying to figure out what really happened. The show is filled to the brim with award-worthy performances from actors, like Stephen Graham, but it's Cooper's unbelievable, chilling performance as Jamie that is incredibly astounding. It's honestly hard to believe this is his first professional acting credit. You'll probably binge-watch this show in one sitting because it's that perfect and enthralling. These are some of my favorite things from my FYP, feed, and more: A24 released the trailer for their new film Eternity starring Elizabeth Olsen, Miles Teller, and Callum Turner, and I'm already gnawing at the bars of my enclosure to be able to go see it. The film follows Joan (Olsen), who arrives in the afterlife with an impossible choice. She must choose to spend eternity with the man she spent her life with or her first love. That's right. We've got Lizzie Olsen in a rom-com making sad eyes like she's so good at doing, so I will inevitably be weeping. The movie will hit theaters this November. And, let's just say, you think they play a great family on screen, they might be even closer off screen because they knew so much about each other's previous projects, but also about the Fantastic Four and Marvel overall. It's such a delightful and hilarious time: Also on BuzzFeed Celeb this week, we had the internet's 'white boy of the century,' Logan Lerman, swing by to answer all of our burning questions while playing with puppies. If you thought he was sweet before, wait until you watch the wholesome energy radiating off of this Puppy Interview. Not only did we get to know him a little better, but we also found time to talk about The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Percy Jackson, and much more. For me, it's got to be The Sound of Music (1965) and It's a Wonderful Life (1946). I grew up a huge musical theater fan, so The Sound of Music has always been in my life, and I consider it one of my favorite movies of all time. Nothing compares to Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer's chemistry. I also have to say It's a Wonderful Life because it's the movie that made me fall in love with classic black-and-white movies. It really lives up to the hype and is one of the best Christmas movies of all time. Donna Reed and Jimmy Stewart are mesmerizing together on screen, and watching them in this led me to seek out more of their films. I highly recommend it.
