Released in three languages—Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu—Sitaare Zameen Par opened to strong word-of-mouth and critical appreciation, especially for its heartwarming storytelling and performances.
It witnessed a solid first weekend, earning Rs 10.7 crore on Friday, Rs 20.2 crore on Saturday, and peaking with Rs 27.25 crore on Sunday. Despite expected weekday drops, the film closed its first week with a robust Rs 88.9 crore.
The second weekend held strong, with Saturday and Sunday contributing Rs 12.6 crore and Rs 14.5 crore respectively, and a total Week 2 collection of Rs 46.5 crore. The third weekend again showed the audience's continued interest, adding another Rs 13.3 crore over Friday to Sunday.

As of Day 18 (third Monday), Sitaare Zameen Par has reached Rs 148.89 crore, inching close to the Rs 150 crore milestone—a feat rarely achieved by a non-action, emotion-driven social drama in recent years.
With this, the film has comfortably overtaken Thugs of Hindostan (Rs 145.55 crore), Ghajini (Rs 114 crore), and Talaash (Rs 93.61 crore) in Aamir Khan's career tally. It now trails behind only 3 Idiots (Rs 202.47 crore), Dhoom 3 (Rs 271.07 crore), PK (Rs 340.8 crore), and Dangal (Rs 374.43 crore)—all massive blockbusters with wide appeal and multi-week dominance.
Sitaare Zameen Par marks a significant comeback for Aamir after the underwhelming performance of Laal Singh Chaddha (Rs 61.12 crore). It has not only reinstated his box office credibility but also reaffirmed his strong connect with family audiences, thanks to the film's emotional themes, inclusive narrative, and child-centric story.
While it may not reach the heights of Dangal or PK, its entry into the top five is a clear testament to the power of content-driven cinema when backed by a trusted name like Aamir Khan. With limited competition in the coming days, Sitaare Zameen Par is expected to continue its steady run and possibly close its lifetime business above Rs 160 crore.

Rajat Dahiya on playing a lawyer in Ufff…Yeh Love Hai Mushkil; says ‘He doesn't just fight cases; he plays mind games'

Ufff…Yeh Love Hai Mushkil takes a darker and more thrilling turn with the entry of Vikram 'Vicky' Malhotra, played by Rajat Dahiya — a suave, dangerous lawyer whose courtroom style is less about arguments and more about psychological warfare. In an exclusive chat, Rajat opens up about what drew him to the role and how he prepared to step into Vikram's twisted mind. 'There was something oddly familiar about this character the moment I read the script,' Rajat shares. 'Being a lawyer, he exudes charm, wit, and psychological warfare – it's like stepping into a game of chess every time he walks into court. And I love a good game.' While Rajat is an engineer by degree, his upbringing gave him natural tools for the role. 'I didn't really have to work very hard on playing a lawyer. I've been raised by strong women, from my dadi to my mom. That calm and confidence comes naturally. For Vikram, I just added a little sharpness and control. He doesn't speak just to win — he speaks to throw people off.' Despite playing such a complex role, Rajat draws a clear line between himself and Vikram. 'I admire how fearless he is, but I don't relate to how far he'll go for revenge. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Is it legal? 'The real tension is in the small things — a pause, a glance, a line said with extra sweetness. The history between Yug and Vikram creates natural drama. You don't need loud fights; you just need honesty in performance.' Their on-screen rivalry may be fierce, but off-screen, it's all love. 'With Shabir, it's like working with a real brother. No courtroom drama off-screen — just good vibes, chai, and lots of laughs. The entire cast is like a family.' One of Rajat's most memorable moments came right at the start. 'My first shot was wild. It was a new courtroom set, ten pages of dialogue, and this arrogant, layered character to play. I felt lost at first, but something clicked. I found Vikram in that moment.' As for how Vikram will complicate the central love story between Yug and Kairi, Rajat hints at major twists ahead. 'If Vikram finds even the smallest crack between them, he'll turn it into an earthquake. That's how he plays — calculated, sharp, and always looking to stir the pot.' With Rajat Dahiya's entry, Ufff…Yeh Love Hai Mushkil just got even more intense. As courtroom battles heat up and emotional games deepen, viewers can expect a thrilling rollercoaster of love, betrayal, and high-stakes drama.

Smriti Irani's fees for KSBKBT: The iconic daily soap Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi is making a grand return with a reboot, and fans are thrilled to see Smriti Irani step back into the role of Tulsi Virani. The show's first look dropped online recently, sparking excitement and a wave of nostalgia among viewers who grew up watching the original. Let's take a closer look at Smriti Irani's comeback, her emotional message, the show's return, and her jaw-dropping fees per episode. Smriti Irani as Tulsi: The Character That Became a National Emotion Smriti Irani, who played Tulsi in the original series, quickly became a household name in the early 2000s. Her portrayal of Tulsi—an ideal daughter-in-law, a strong mother, and a symbol of Indian family values—won millions of hearts. Now, after more than 20 years, she's returning in the same role for the Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Reboot. Speaking about her return, Smriti Irani shared an emotional note, saying, 'Tulsi wasn't just a character. She became a daughter, a mother, and a reflection of many women's strength and sacrifices.' She also said that even after the show ended, people continued to call her Tulsi instead of her real name. That connection with the audience, she said, 'isn't written – it's a blessing.' Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Reboot: What to Expect The Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Reboot is a limited series with 150 episodes. It is set to air on Star Plus starting 29 July 2025 at 10:30 PM. Along with Smriti Irani, many of the original cast members are also returning, making the show even more special for long-time fans. When the first look was shared online, social media went wild. Fans filled the comments section with love, expressing how emotional and excited they felt about Tulsi's return. Smriti Irani's Fees: Now the Highest-Paid Actress on Indian Television Smriti Irani's return as Tulsi has not just made headlines for nostalgia, but also for her fees. According to a report by DNA India, Smriti is now charging a whopping Rs 14 lakh per episode, making her the highest-paid actress on Indian TV. This fee even surpasses that of Rupali Ganguly, who reportedly earned Rs 3 lakh per episode for her popular show Anupamaa, also aired on Star Plus. Smriti's comeback has clearly set a new benchmark in the industry. Smriti Irani Opens Up About Pay Gap and Gender Roles in TV Industry During her appearance on We The Women with Karan Johar, Smriti Irani discussed the challenges she faced as a female lead in television. She reflected on a time when gender pay gap and financial equity were not openly discussed. She added that her role as Tulsi helped break barriers—not just in terms of viewership, but also in showing the strength of a woman's character on prime-time television. Tulsi's Return Is More Than Just a Comeback—It's an Emotion Smriti Irani concluded her note with heartfelt words: 'Tulsi returns not just as a character, but as a memory, a feeling that never left. In today's world, where stories come and go, this return is an invitation to pause and feel again.' Her message shows how deeply she values the connection Tulsi had with Indian families. Is Smriti Irani Leaving Politics for Acting? In a recent chat with NDTV, Smriti Irani made it clear that although she's excited to return as Tulsi Virani, her main priority is still her political work. 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi is just a side project,' she said, showing her strong commitment to politics over acting. Irani joined politics around 20 years ago and is now an important leader in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). She described her return to acting as something she's doing part-time, much like other politicians who manage more than one role. Irani added, 'I may be the most recognised face among them, but I'm a full-time politician and a part-time actor.' Her comments show how she's managing both her political duties and her love for acting. With the Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Reboot, Smriti Irani is bringing back one of television's most loved characters. Her return as Tulsi, along with her record-breaking fees, proves that timeless roles and strong storytelling never go out of style. As fans count down the days to July 29, one thing is clear—Tulsi is not just back on screen, she's back in everyone's hearts.
