Urgent hunt for man after ‘boy, 8, approached in playground' as cops release CCTV
The boy shouted at the stranger and he fled the scene.
Cops said it happened between 5pm and 5.30pm on Thursday, June 26, in Portsmouth.
Police said: "The man is described as white, aged 20-30 years old, about 5ft 9in tall, skinny build, short dark brown hair.
"He also had tattoos on his left arm and on the right side of his neck.

Safety measures to be introduced at busy Peterborough junction
Councillors have backed calls to introduce safety measures at a busy junction where a crash took were called to the Eastfield Road and Eye Road junction, near Parnwell, Peterborough, on 24 June, following the two-vehicle crash which left a passenger seriously injured. Councillors and highways team officials confirmed they would look into introducing the safety measures after a site visit with resident Alan Ellis, cabinet member for environment and transport on Peterborough City Council, said the junction was "something that needs looking at". 'Jumping red lights' Katy Cole, Dogsthorpe ward councillor and cabinet member for children's services, said she had been contacted by residents about "the amount of reckless driving that's taking place across this junction", as reported by the Local Democracy Reporting Service. "I've seen cars jumping the red lights and I've had my colleague beeped because he was doing 30mph in a 30mph limit," she said the junction had been flagged as having a history of crashes over a number of years, even before the latest incident. The council will look at whether the traffic lights are fit for purpose, consider putting a camera at the junction and ask residents what they think would help, he added. Peterborough City Council has about £75,000 allocated as part of its road safety budget which might be used towards the improvements. Mr Andrews, who lives near the junction, said he was delighted to have received support from councillors after he raised his concerns. Data from revealed a number of crashes in the area up until 2023 and three crashes were reported at the Eye Road and Eastfield Road junction. Peterborough car cruising hotspot gets public protection order
New conditions will be in place for three years in an attempt to crack down on anti-social behaviour at a car cruising public space protection order (PSPO) is being used by Peterborough City Council at Pleasure Fair Meadow car council said it had received several reports from nearby residents of noise, smoke and odours from the site.A consultation found 151 out of 169 responses were in favour of the PSPO, which could see fines of up to £1,000 or penalty notices for people who break the rules. Convicted cocaine dealer Joe Frangieh has hit back at the 'cowards' who sprayed his mother's home with bullets in a drive-by shooting. Police were called to the matriarch's home on Davidson Avenue in Concord in Sydney 's inner-west shortly after 1am on June 256, amid reports 'five or six shots' had been fired. The home belongs to Hasna Frangieh, mother of Joe and Ray Frangieh, who were jailed for cocaine supply in 2002. It was bought by Ms Frangieh for $1.5million in 2015. Joe Frangieh told Daily Mail Australia he was overseas at the time of the shooting and had 'no idea' if it was specifically targeted at his family home. 'I think only cowards shoot houses - why is the point (sic),' he said. 'What if my mother or kids were hit. How does that make you strong. 'It's [a] bunch of cowards and the Australian Police would have to be the most embarrassing force on the planet - they should step up and let the streets sort themselves out or step away.' Police were called to the property on Davidson Avenue in Concord in Sydney's inner-west shortly after 1am on Thursday (pictured) Mr Frangieh added: 'And as for these idiots that are just doing these hits not knowing what they're doing, I feel sorry for them, as if they knew the consequences of their actions they would think twice. A short time after responding to the shooting, emergency services were called to nearby car fire at Stuart Street in Burwood. A stolen white 2021 Genesis was found rolling down the street while on fire. It's understood the three occupants failed to put the handbrake on as they fled the scene in another white vehicle. The Frangieh family has been targeted several times in the past. In September 2003, shortly after the Frangieh brothers had been released from prison, their home in Bristol Street, Merrylands, was sprayed a dozen bullets. Three months later, Mr Frangieh's father Sayed was fatally shot in the chest during another attack on the home. It was later revealed the intended target of the shooting was Ray Frangieh. Ray had become embroiled in a dispute with another crime figure, Ken Tan, who had reportedly failed to pay him $50,000 after buying his luxury BMW. Earlier that day, Ray had run Tan off the road in an altercation over the unpaid sum. Tan was jailed for manslaughter after it emerged he had sent associates to carry out the botched hit.
