This is officially Barcelona's best hotel right now, according to Time Out
So, maybe it's time more of us give hotels a chance? To help you out, Time Out has just given its list of the very best places to stay in Barcelona a complete overhaul. And our new champion? It's (drum roll, please) Majestic Hotel & Spa Barcelona!
That's right – Time Out has selected this beautiful neoclassical hotel, which sits on Passeig de Gràcia slap-bang in the middle of the city, as the best one in Barcelona for 2025.
It opened way back in 1918 and is known for its elegant style, but also played a role as host to major political, cultural and historic events (such as when it served as a base for journalists covering the Battle of the Ebro during the Spanish Civil War) meaning it's got a unique history, too.
There's no doubt that this is a luxurious place to stay, with rooms starting at around €400 per night. You can choose from city-view rooms, family-friendly ones, or a penthouse or apartment, which has plenty of space for work. Oh, and each will grant you access to the rooftop pool, spa and wellness area, and gym.
Then there's the food. Jana Serra, a writer for Time Out Barcelona, wrote: 'The elegant restaurant serves Mediterranean and locally sourced dishes à la carte. There's a piano bar, a cocktail bar, and the stylish Gourmet Bar next to the pool, which was named 'Best Luxury Hotel Brunch 2023' by the Beyond Luxury Awards – it's held every Sunday.'
'At the Majestic Bar, renowned chef Nandu Jubany oversees the menu, which features Catalan tapas and small plates designed to introduce international guests to local cuisine – think oxtail brioche or lobster salad.'

Melbourne is the second most diverse and inclusive city in the world, according to locals
Here at Time Out Melbourne, it's easy to assume that our beloved city is a friendly space where diversity and inclusivity are welcomed. After all, Melbourne is a thriving metropolis that prides itself on being highly liveable, with cool neighbourhoods and streets that are home to various cuisines, communities and cultures. But sometimes it's good to get that confirmation from others, and off the back of Time Out's huge annual survey, we can reveal that locals themselves actually consider Melbourne the second most diverse and inclusive city in the whole world. The survey asked 18,500 city-dwellers what they think of their hometown's transport, food, nightlife, green spaces and more. But all of this is pointless if people don't actually feel welcome, so we also wanted to find out whether they would describe their city as 'diverse' and 'inclusive' too. Melburnians responded in an overwhelmingly positive fashion, with 77 per cent of people agreeing with the sentiment. The city that (just!) nabbed the crown ahead of Melbourne was London, with 78 per cent of locals deeming the UK capital diverse and inclusive. And look, we get it – with a long history as a hub of immigration and around 300 languages spoken, it's a true representation of what a modern, multicultural city looks like. Rounding out the rest of the top five were Brighton (also in the UK) and New York City tied for third, followed by Los Angeles and Chicago, respectively. So what are some of the factors that make our city worthy of the silver medal? Melbourne – aka Naarm – is located on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong Boon Wurrung peoples, and boasts a rich First Nations history. There are many ways you can learn more and immerse yourself in this culture, including through walking tours or exhibitions like Wurrdha Marra and 65,000 Years: A Short History of Australian Art. And let's not forget the culinary influence of Melbourne's many international communities. Box Hill is known for its abundance of fantastic Chinese restaurants, while Footscray boasts some epic bánh mì spots thanks to its large Vietnamese population. Oakleigh is the Greek heartland for souvas and gyros, and recent waves of migration from Ghana, Nigeria and Cameroon have culminated in a mushrooming of West African eateries. Add in a stacked line-up of festivals and events, a proud and ever-growing queer community (Melbourne was even voted the fourth most LGBTQIA+-friendly city in the world in 2022), and a thriving nightlife scene – and we're not surprised that locals would consider our capital a place where everyone is welcome to show up and be their most authentic selves. The funniest comedy movie of all-time is returning to theaters this weekend
Comedy fans, turn your excitement to 11 and drummers prepare for spontaneous combustion: This Is Spinal Tap is coming back to theaters. The 1984 mockumentary, directed by Rob Reiner and starring Michael McKean, Christopher Guest and Harry Shearer as the eponymous fictional hard-rock band, is being re-released this weekend in a 4K restoration in celebration of the movie's 41st anniversary. It's also a precursor to the long-awaited sequel, Spinal Tap II: The End Continues. A send-up of 1980s rock 'n' roll excess, This Is Spinal Tap was a modest success upon release but has since become one of the most celebrated comedy movies of all-time. It currently sits atop Time Out's list of the greatest comedy films ever made, and comes in at No. 78 on our ranking of the 100 best movies ever. 'Sporting arguably the most quotable script in movie history,' we wrote, 'and some of the meatiest metal melodies this side of Bon Scott-era AC/DC, this is simply a perfect film: from the first chord of Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You Tonight to the very final line ('I dunno, what are the hours?'), there's literally nothing about it that could be improved.' The restored and remastered version plays in theaters across America for a brief run, July 5-7. As for the sequel, Reiner, along with all the main cast members, are returning to chart the run-up to the band's farewell concert, which we're sure will go off without a hitch. Announced cameos include Elton John, Paul McCartney and Garth Brooks. It's set for worldwide release on September 12.

Halle Bailey nearly suffers wardrobe malfunction on romantic boat ride as her hunky mystery man is REVEALED
Halle Bailey risked a major wardrobe malfunction while posing up a storm to get just the right shot for her new boyfriend, who dutifully served as her photographer. As the couple cruised around a yacht off the coast of Italy together, the singer, 25, narrowly avoided her bikini bottoms sliding down during her impromptu photo shoot. The situation has turned ugly since then with Bailey being granted a restraining order against the Impatient rapper, claiming she had been physically, verbally, emotionally and financially abused by him. She described one alleged incident from January in which she said her ex repeatedly called her a 'b**ch' while she was trying to strap their baby into a car seat in his car. 'The next thing I knew, things got physical between us,' Bailey wrote in the court papers. She continued: 'We fought each other, wrestling and tussling. At one point, Darryl was pulling my hair. He then slammed my face on the steering wheel, causing my tooth to get chipped. I then stopped fighting back as I was in a lot of pain.' A judge denied a request by DDG for a restraining order against Bailey. In May, she was granted a restraining order against the YouTuber. Documents obtained by at the time, indicated that the singer had previously filed a police report against her ex (real name: Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.) after he allegedly destroyed her home surveillance camera and stole her phone. In January 2024, she revealed that she had given birth to their son Halo in December of the previous year. The couple had previously begun dating in January 2022 before splitting in October 2024. In June 2022, the pair made their red carpet debut as they attended the BET Awards together and sported all-black ensembles during the event. They made other appearances that year, such as stopping by Paris Fashion Week and later walked the red carpet at the Avatar: The Way Of Water screening in December 2022. During a past interview with Essence, Bailey opened up about how both she and DDG met and when asked whether she was in love, the performer answered with, 'Yes. For sure I am.' 'I grew up being on YouTube and would always see the young Black creators and was constantly inspired by them. He was one of them,' she explained to the outlet. 'I completely forgot about him. But then I saw that he was dropping music, and I really gravitated toward this one song. Coincidentally he messaged me - and the rest is history.' In 2022, Halle also appeared in DDG's music video for the track titled, If I Want You. The music artist had also supported Bailey when she took on the leading role in Disney's The Little Mermaid. 'I'm very proud of her. And I'm just happy to see it,' DDG informed People. 'I feel like sometimes I'm even more excited than anybody else. Just seeing it and seeing everything that she dreamed of coming to life, it's really dope.' Throughout 2023, the actress and rapper were spotted on various occasions together, such as attending Milan Fashion Week and the Vanity Fair Oscars party. In May 2023, Halle discussed her relationship with Darryl while talking to People and was asked if the romance was that of a fairytale. 'People love to talk about this. Yeah. I would say that.'
