It's not uncommon for Metallica to appear on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart, the United Kingdom's ranking of the bestselling full-lengths and EPs in those styles. The group usually claims at least one of the 40 available spaces, if not several at a time. What is less commonly seen these days is Metallica's name in the top spot.
While the band's back catalog remains hugely popular and certain titles continue to sell well enough each and every frame to hold on, it takes a special set of circumstances for the hard rock legends to own the ranking, as the band does once again this week.
Metallica Returns to No. 1
Metallica returns to the throne on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart as Load reappears on the tally. The decades-old project reenters the list at No. 1, pushing Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge by My Chemical Romance out of first place and down to third, as Roar Like Thunder by Buckcherry opens in the runner-up spot.
Load Hits No. 1 for Only the Second Time
Load leads the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart for only the second time. The project debuted atop the tally in June 1996. It's been almost 30 years since then, and somehow Metallica's sixth full-length has never managed to rule the ranking again, until now.
The project has managed 79 total stays on the roster, 33 of which have been inside the top 10.
Metallica's New Super Deluxe Box Set
On June 13, Metallica reissued Load as a super deluxe box set. The lengthy collection includes demos, additional mixes, videos, live tracks, and more. Those who opted for the physical version received 15 CDs, four DVDs, and a book that features more than 100 pages all about the group.
Load Rises Into the Top 10
As Load takes control of the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart, it also reaches the top 10 on three other lists. Metallica's project debuts at No. 5 on the Official Vinyl Albums ranking and No. 6 on the Official Albums Sales roster. The set also breaks back onto the Official Physical Albums chart at No. 6, while coming in at No. 40 on both the Official Albums and Official Album Downloads tallies.

Amal Clooney Reveals Why She and George Clooney Don't Share Photos of Their Kids: ‘Private Moments'

Amal Clooney spoke about how much she and husband George Clooney value privacy for their family while navigating life in the spotlight. In a rare and intimate interview, the human rights activist, 47, opened up about the delicate balance they've struck between global fame and preserving their personal world, especially when it comes to their kids. 'Creating private moments and spaces is becoming increasingly difficult,' Amal told Glamour in an article published on Thursday, July 3, revealing that it's led her to set rules when it comes to entertaining guests in the comfort of her abode. 'I now have a phone basket that I use to take everyone's phones away!' 'It's important to get that balance where you have time alone with your family and with your friends where people feel like you can have a safe and frank exchange,' she added. 'And I would say becoming a parent means you're more troubled by some of the intrusions.' As for why Amal and George, 64, don't share photos of their 8-year-old twins — Ella and Alexander — she said they have their reasons. 'We do the best we can to minimize any impact on our children. We don't put our children out there, we've never put their photo out there or anything like that,' the lawyer explained. The power couple welcomed their twins on June 6, 2017, at St. Mary's Hospital in London, nearly three years after exchanging their vows in Italy. Amal said that her passion for mentorship is something she would like to ingrain in her children. 'Thinking back to my days at Oxford — that's where I studied law — and now being back there two decades later, has made me reflect that I wasn't remotely as engaged with the world, as knowledgeable about the world, as this generation is,' Amal said. 'The people I'm meeting now are not only unsatisfied with the status quo, they are determined to be agents of change. It's invigorating to be around them. They ask really good and sometimes difficult questions. I love seeing that sort of curiosity,' the mom of two went on. 'It's something that we're trying to instill in our kids.' Amal credited George with helping her to stay motivated and empowered to chase after her goals. 'I have a partner in life who is so supportive of what I do,' she continued. The Right to a Fair Trial in International Law author also discussed her meaningful philanthropic work shortly after visiting Buckingham Palace to support The King's Trust. 'And I remember when I became a mom, which was obviously a new frontier, he was the first one to say, 'I know you've got this speech at the Security Council. You have to go, I've got the kids, don't worry about it.' I feel so incredibly lucky to share every day with him,' she said of George. 'And now we're four. And I don't take any of it for granted,' Amal gushed. 'I treasure the laughter and the joy that I get from just being with them.'

Dakota Johnson Kicks Off Her Single Girl Summer in a Tiny White swimsuit

THE RUNDOWN Dakota Johnson was photographed in a white swimsuit while on vacation in Ibiza, Spain, with Kate Hudson. The photos offer the first look at Johnson during her downtime since news of her split from Chris Martin broke last month. A source recently told People that Johnson is 'doing well' and 'doesn't want to have any regrets.' Dakota Johnson is making the most of summer—and her new chapter as a single woman. The actress was photographed with Kate Hudson on a yacht in Ibiza, Spain. Johnson wore a tiny white swimsuit with her hair styled down. You can see the photos here on People. The star just finished her press tour for Materialists. During the circuit, People reported that Johnson and her partner of eight years, Chris Martin, had quietly broken up. 'It feels final this time,' a source told the outlet. Multiple sources told People their relationship had been on-off. Johnson hasn't addressed the relationship status change herself, but she kept her romance with Martin largely private. On June 23, a source close to Johnson told People that she is 'doing well,' though. 'The split wasn't exactly a shock,' the source explained. '[They] had the same issues for a while.' 'She wants to live her life very intentionally—she doesn't want to have any regrets,' the insider continued. 'She loves all her creative projects and is excited about her career. She believes there is more to life than work though. She wants a meaningful life on all levels.' Johnson recently spoke with ELLE UK about her relationship history while discussing what drew her to play a matchmaker in Celine Song's Materialists. '[I] loved that Celine used to be a matchmaker in real life,' she said. 'I find the whole concept of the film so interesting, because it's so foreign to me. I've never dated anybody. I've had boyfriends, but I have never been on a dating app. I just don't know that world. So, it was so interesting and intriguing. It's the most beautiful side of humanity, but it can also be the most ugly. Loving someone is the most scary and beautiful thing you can do.'
