Caitlin Clark leaves Fever victory with groin injury ahead of All-Star Game

White said Clark was being evaluated Tuesday night and would be evaluated again Wednesday morning ahead of the Fever's road game against the New York Liberty.
'(We'll) see where we are, but this group has played without her,' White said. 'At least we've got experience in that. We know that we have a tough opponent in New York. We know that it's gonna be a challenge no matter what, and we just gotta get locked in and ready to work.'

Clark previously missed four games this year due to a left groin strain, but it's worth noting she grabbed her right groin Tuesday. The 23-year-old has also missed five games with a left quad injury. Indiana is 4-5 without Clark in the lineup. Before this season, Clark had never missed a game in her college or pro career.
Clark suffered her latest injury while throwing a backdoor bounce pass to teammate Kelsey Mitchell, who scored a layup with 39.1 seconds left in the game. After the play, the Sun called a timeout and Clark grimaced and grabbed her right groin. She walked down the court and banged her head off the stanchion underneath the basket on the other end in frustration. Clark eventually made her way to the bench and put a towel over her head.
Veteran reserve guard Sydney Colson subbed in for Clark, who finished with 14 points on 4-of-14 shooting. She also had seven assists and eight rebounds.
In addition to Wednesday's game at New York, Clark's availability is also uncertain for WNBA All-Star weekend, which will be held at the Fever's home arena, Gainbridge Fieldhouse, in Indianapolis. The league announced Tuesday that Clark would compete in the 3-point contest on Friday for the first time, and she's scheduled to make her second consecutive start in the All-Star Game on Saturday.
Clark is averaging 16.5 points, 8.8 assists and 5.0 rebounds in 13 games this season. If she is sidelined for a while, fellow All-Star Mitchell, backup point guard Aari McDonald and Colson will likely shoulder more of the team's ball-handling duties.
