Post Malone to bring country charm back to S.F.

Post Malone is bringing his country stylings back to the Bay Area.
After delivering a special country set at San Francisco's Outside Lands festival last August, on the heels of his debut country album 'F-1 Trillion,' the 'Sunflower' singer is slated to return with his Big Ass Stadium Tour at Oracle Park.
The rapper-turned-country crooner began showing off his versatility in early 2024, just before the ambitious album was released. His recent foray into country music has prompted collaborations with stars of the genre including Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs and Blake Shelton. He was also featured on Beyoncé's Grammy-winning country album 'Cowboy Carter' and Taylor Swift's 'The Tortured Poets Department.'
San Francisco marks the final North American stop in the pop singer's tour before heading overseas. Country-rap sensation Jelly Roll is slated to join Malone as a supporting act.

Lorde's racy 'Virgin' vinyl artwork stirs controversy

Lorde is getting intimate in more ways than one on her new album. The Grammy-winning songstress, 28, is stirring up controversy on social media thanks to the artwork from her latest record "Virgin." The 11-track LP, coproduced and cowritten by Lorde (real name: Ella Yelich-O'Connor), marks the alternative pop singer's return to the music scene after 2021's "Solar Power." The vinyl edition of the album features an eight-page photo booklet, according to Lorde's official website. The product description includes the advisory warning, "Adult images." One of the images in question reportedly includes a nude shot of Lorde, with the photo showing the crotch of an individual wearing see-through pants. "It will be over for a lot of people, and then for some people, I will have arrived. I'll be where they always hoped I'd be." This isn't the first time Lorde has featured explicit imagery in her work. The album cover for "Solar Power" showed a bikini-clad Lorde "jumping over a friend on a beach," but the ground-level angle gave an unfiltered view of the singer's buttocks. 10 bingeable memoirs to check out: Celebrities tell all about aging, marriage and Beyoncé During a June 2021 interview on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," the singer said the image was "a little hardcore, but it was so joyful to me." Beyoncé pauses show after flying car malfunctions, tilts during Night 1 in Houston

Beyoncé Knowles-Carter delivered a groundbreaking kickoff concert in Houston for her "Cowboy Carter" tour — powering through a technical difficulty that left her suspended midair, without missing a beat. The Grammy-winning singer kicked off her first concert in her hometown of Houston at NRG Stadium June 28 at 7:50 p.m. local time. The show marked her first Southern stop on her Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin' Circuit Tour. She is set to hit the stage one more night on June 29. Toward the end of the June 28 performance, as Beyoncé sang her hit single '16 Carriages' while soaring in a red car, a technical glitch caused the vehicle to tilt midair. She briefly paused the show telling everyone to "stop" repeatedly, before being safely lowered and landing the car among the audience. There were no injuries. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Eden🐘🌺 (@cozycarters) Shortly after, she returned to the stage cool, calm and collected. She joked, 'if I ever fall, I know y'all will catch me,' before carrying on with the show and closing it out as usual. During her Paris shows, she shocked fans when she brought out Miley Cyus and husband Jay-Z for surprise performances on the first and last night. Of course, Beyoncé first debuted her "Cowboy Carter" tour at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on April 28 with a 39-song set list. Her shows have been filled with family, fashion, different music genres, and most notably country music and cultural commentary. And the H-town opener show was no different. The nine-city tour will span the U.S. and Europe with the grand finale taking place in Las Vegas on July 26.
