Simaran Kaur, who essays the role of Riddhi in Jamai No. 1 said, 'For me, dance isn't just an art form, it's where I find my truest self.
Since childhood, I've felt most alive when I'm dancing—whether on stage, in class, or barefoot in my bedroom with music turned all the way up. One of my most cherished memories is performing in front of my parents every weekend. It became a little tradition at home, I would pick a new song, rehearse all week, and then put on a show just for them.
Their smiles and their encouragement felt like they were gently nudging me toward my dreams.

As I've grown, so has my relationship with dance. Today, I still seek out workshops, explore new styles, and constantly challenge myself to keep learning. Dance has taught me discipline, surrender, grace, and most importantly, to be fully present. You can't fake it. You have to feel every beat, every breath. So, this International Dance Day, I'm celebrating not just the performances, but the quiet, beautiful moments dance brings into our lives.'

Throwback: When Shruti Haasan shared rare pics from her first modelling gig at 17
Picture Credit: Instagram Shruti Haasan is one of the top actresses in the film industry, and she is also known for her musical prowess. Throwback to the time when the actress-singer once shared rare pictures from her very first modeling assignment when she was just 17 years old and taking her first steps in front of the camera. Sharing the photos on her Instagram, Shruti captioned the post with wit and honesty: "Mind blown when I found these—my first ever modeling gig at 17! I look a bit shitty and a bit starry, but that's like life, isn't it? I've always loved working and growing, even sideways. #memories #flashback" In the pictures, the young Shruti can be seen dressed in a mix of white, red, and blue outfits. In another light-hearted post from a different time, Shruti uploaded a picture of herself from when she was 21 and wrote, "What was I thinking?!! Found this from when I was 21 and basically thought anything goes—wait, does that mean I still haven't grown up?" Shruti's recent releases have included hits like the Prabhas starrer 'Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire' and 'Waltair Veerayya.' She will soon appear in 'Coolie' alongside superstar Rajinikanth . The movie also stars Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, and others. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the movie is set to release on August 14. Although she has known Rajinikanth as a legendary figure in Indian cinema and through her father Kamal Haasan 's perspective, filming 'Coolie' gave her a chance to see a different side of the superstar. She called him "shrewd and sharp" yet "warm and very cool to talk to."
