You Could Play "I Spy" with J. Lo's Glittery 3D Nails
Getty Images As the parent of a four-year-old, I play a lot of 'I Spy"—in the car, at restaurants, poring over the iconic I Spy book series. You know what would fit right in in the pages of those books? Jennifer Lopez's latest manicure! Lopez's concert nails, designed by her go-to manicurist Tom Bachik, are a visual feast with so many blink-and-you'll-miss-them references, they needed their own Instagram grid post. If you were watching her from the arena floor, you probably wouldn't get to see all the details, which is why we're so thankful Bachik posted a close-up at his work so we could pore over every intricately designed nail. The long, coffin-shaped nails were a mix of burgundy, milky pale pink, and gold tones, embellished with sparkling charms, gemstones, and pearls for a royal vibe. Lopez is currently traveling through Europe on her 'Up All Night' tour, which kicked off in Spain. However, the singer-actor-dancer brought a little bit of home to the stage with one of her nails, which featured the New York Yankees logo in gold and rhinestones; more gemstones danged from the 'Y," ending in a large garnet stone. There were bows, crosses, sacred hearts, and even what appears to be the Chanel interlocking 'C' logo, framed by dangling small pearls. See what I mean about 'I Spy?' I spy, with my little eye… Though Lopez typically wears a much more neutral manicure for her day-to-day life and red carpet events, she likes to go all out with her performance nail art. For a trip to Dubai, she and Bachik whipped up a Swarovski crystal butterfly manicure that we're still thinking about. When she performed at an Elie Saab show in late 2024, her nails were encrusted with even more Swarovski crystals for the definition of superstar sparkle. Lopez has a full touring schedule through mid-August; the 'Up All Night' tour takes her through Italy, Hungary, Egypt, Turkey, and more. We've got a feeling Bachik is already busy whipping up many more ornate manicures for us to ogle. Can't wait! Jennifer Lopez's Gucci Nails Clash With Her Outfit in the Most Luxurious Way
Getty Images One of the best things about the burgeoning designer nail trend that Cardi B, SZA, and Megan Thee Stallion have all been participating in is that you don't actually need music-superstar money to take part in it. While your chosen nail artist definitely deserves a big tip for their intricate work, the beauty of these manicures is that you don't have to pair your Chanel-logo nails with a Chanel ensemble—you can throw on some Old Navy and go about your day with a high-low look. But in the case of Jennifer Lopez, whose budget has fewer limitations than most, she's all for breaking the must-match rule, too, but in a much more luxurious way: wearing a high-end designer-logo manicure with a completely different high-end designer-logo outfit. Lopez was spotted in Warsaw, Poland, the day after her 56th birthday, looking absolutely radiant with long, straight hair, peachy-nude makeup, layered gold and diamond jewelry, and oversized wire-frame glasses. She paired strappy, brown, high-heel sandals with a stunning, silky, off-white Valentino dress covered in a subtle pattern of the fashion house's logo. But go ahead and zoom in on J. Lo's nails. Her designer manicure doesn't echo her Valentino ensemble, but rather her love of Gucci. Her go-to nail artist, Tom Bachik, posted close-ups of the incredible set to his Instagram Stories, giving us a clear look at the amazingly ornate art on each coffin-shaped nail. Starting with the Aprés Nail shade Girl Dinner, Bachik added instantly recognizable Gucci details like gold-accented green and red stripes, a snake, and, of course, the Gucci logo pattern. Each nail is different, and some even feature three-dimensional, bejeweled charms, like a cherry and winged insect. Now if you'll please excuse me, I'm going to take my Madewell-clad behind to the nail salon for a Marc Jacobs-themed manicure, thankyouverymuch. Couple shocked to become rare parents to have quadruplets conceived naturally: ‘I didn't think it was gonna be four!'
This family got four times the cuteness. A New Jersey couple has defied the odds, welcoming quadruplets — all conceived naturally. Aja (pronounced Asia) Kennon and her fiancé, Emmanuel Volmar, recently became among the few people in the world to experience such an extraordinary pregnancy earlier this month. Advertisement Kennon and Volmar were excited to expand their family — which already included an 8-year-old son, EJ — when they unexpectedly found out she was pregnant. She assumed that it might be twins because her belly had grown so large, but she was surprised when she saw three heads on the sonogram. 6 The New Jersey couple has defied the odds, welcoming quadruplets — all conceived naturally. Aja Kennon/Instagram 'I didn't think it was gonna be four!' Kennon told The Post. 'This was unexpected.' Advertisement But it was a quartet of distinct heads, confirming a rare event with odds ranging from one-in-700,000 to one-in-a-million, doctors said. And the July 1 delivery itself was an extraordinary event, involving more than 20 medical professionals — each baby with their own dedicated medical crew at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey. 'There was a whole football team in there,' Volmar joked. Kennon easily popped out one healthy baby after the other, each about a minute apart, starting at 10:59 a.m. The miracle babies were all brought home right away, safe and sound. Advertisement The boys — Ean, Evan and Eamon — share the same first initial 'E' with their dad, while the girl, Alayha, shares an 'A' with her mom. 6 The quadruplets — Ean, Evan, Alayha and Eamon — were born the morning of July 1. Aja Kennon/Instagram 6 'I didn't think it was gonna be four!' Kennon told The Post. 'This was unexpected.' With twins running in both her and Volmar's families, it was meant to be — though, because they learned about the quadruplets on April Fools' Day, people didn't believe them at first. Advertisement Perhaps even more shocking, Kennon had no complications during her high-risk pregnancy. She even kept working as a USPS mailwoman full-time until seven months into her pregnancy and thinks all the walking helped. 'I was surprised myself by how easy a pregnancy it was, honestly,' Kennon admitted, sharing that her first pregnancy was a bit more difficult, as EJ needed to be induced. 6 Despite the shock, Kennon embraced the news. Courtesy of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center Despite the overwhelming nature of raising quadruplets, the couple remains amazingly calm. 'Once we found out that we were having quadruplets, we immediately got the ball rolling. From the moment we found out, we were just, like, 'Okay, let's get the show on the road,'' Kennon said. The couple is now facing a whirlwind of joy and uncertainty as they begin to raise the newborns alongside their elementary schooler. The family, who initially planned for just one more child, quickly had to adjust to the reality of four cribs, quadruple the diapers — and an entirely new life. Advertisement They've also decided to delay a wedding until all their children can walk down the aisle and participate. But, thanks to their pre-planning and support system — Volmar's mother has fortunately moved in for now — they've jumped into parenting five children quite easily. Reality check: Dad does admit that the feeding schedule is especially demanding. 'It's never-ending, and then before you know it, it's time to feed them again,' Volmar told The Post. Advertisement But even EJ has happily stepped up, offering to feed the babies and change their diapers. And while he loves all his siblings equally, but has a special place in his heart for his sister. 'He's very delicate with his sister, like he'll make sure he kisses her on the head,' Kennon shared. To help with the financial burden, the family has launched a GoFundMe campaign to cover medical expenses, transportation and the costs associated with caring for quadruplets. 'We are overjoyed, filled with love and gratitude — but we'd be lying if we said we weren't overwhelmed, too,' Kennon wrote on the page. Courtesy of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center Their community has rallied around them as the news has spread. New Jersey area mom Facebook groups have flooded the comments of posts sharing the news. One woman whom Kennon hasn't spoken to since high school even reached out and asked to coordinate a meal train to help out. Fortunately, thanks to their pre-planning and local support, they've settled into parenting five children very well. Advertisement According to BECU and the National Diaper Bank Network, they'll likely spend about $4,000 a year on diapers alone. But luckily, they haven't even needed to buy diapers or wipes yet: They have a closet filled with supplies — all donated or gifted. 'Everybody's as shocked as we were when we found out,' Kennon said, joking, 'We're pretty much the center of attention.'
