Noah Cyrus Performs With Dad Billy Ray at Album Release Event in London
Billy Ray took the stage to sing his duet with Noah, 'Stand Still,' from her 2022 album The Hardest Part. They also sang 'With You,' a song Billy Ray wrote in his youth, which Noah covered on her new album. (She also dedicated the track to the late XXXTentacion, who was one of Noah's friends.)

Noah Cyrus Sets Return With 'I Want My Loved Ones to Go With Me': 'This Album Is Me'
'Thank you always to my incredibly talented band and to my father, who I love so dearly, for joining us,' she wrote in an Instagram post with footage from the night. 'We got to sing 'Stand Still' and 'With You,' which is actually a song my father wrote from his childhood bedroom and was one of the first songs he ever wrote.'
Noah described 'With You' as a song that's brought her comfort since she 'was a little kid,' adding that 'it meant so much to me to be singing it together' with her father. (In videos, the father-daughter pair were seen interacting onstage after a feather dropped from his hat.)
'It's always been the gift of music that's brought us together,' Cyrus said in the post. 'Feeling extremely grateful for the incredible fans who were singing every word from the new record. I'm one lucky girl.'
Her dad's girlfriend, Elizabeth Hurley, left a sweet comment on Noah's post, writing, 'Your show was absolutely beautiful. Thank you for having us. It was wonderful to see you play with your Daddy ❤️❤️❤️.'
Cyrus released I Want My Loved Ones to Go With Me on July 11, featuring songs such as 'Way of the World' with Ella Langley, 'New Country' with Blake Shelton, and 'Don't Put It All on Me' featuring Fleet Foxes. 'As a whole, the project benefits from a fuller approach that feels like an artist coming into her own — it's a sign of growth, it's a testament to flourishing,' Rolling Stone said in a review of the record.

Michael Jackson's dirty sock sells at auction
A single glittery sock worn by Michael Jackson at a concert in France in 1997 has sold for more than £6,600. The crystal-encrusted sock was found by a technician after the self-styled King of Pop performed in the southern city of Nimes. It was carefully preserved for 28 years in a frame and went up for sale on Wednesday in the same city, Aurore Illy, the auctioneer, said. 'A cult object for fans' Jackson wore white athletic socks during his 1997 HIStory World Tour, and can be seen wearing them in clips of him performing his hit 'Billie Jean'. Decades later, the sock is no longer white, and the rhinestones adorning it have yellowed with age. 'It really is an exceptional object – even a cult one for Michael Jackson fans,' Ms Illy said. The sock, expected to fetch €3,000-4,000 (£2,500-£3,500), sold for €7,688 (£6,640) at the Nimes auction house. Jackson's clothing, particularly items worn during iconic performances and in music videos, has sold for vast sums following the singer's death in 2009. The star, who during his lifetime faced allegations of child molestation – died of an overdose aged 50 as he prepared for a series of comeback concerts in London. A Chinese gaming resort paid £260,000 in 2009 for a glittery glove he wore when he performed his first 'moonwalk' dance in 1983. A hat he wore just before that performance sold for more than £60,000 in Paris in 2023. The same year, a black and white leather jacket he wore in a 1980s Pepsi advert sold for £250,000. In 2011, the contents of the house he lived in with his three children before his death sold for around £750,000 at auction. The sale included items such as the rug beneath his death bed, which sold for more than $15,000. Jackson still maintains a huge fan base, despite a 2019 documentary exposing further child sexual abuse allegations that sparked a new debate over the legacy of one of the world's most celebrated musicians. Foo Fighters and Nine Inch Nails Basically Just Traded Drummers
Nine Inch Nails drummer Ilan Rubin will learn to fly with Dave Grohl and co. after they parted ways with Josh Freese – who's going back to NIN Josh Freese's unexpected exit from the Foo Fighters may have hurt, but it didn't throw a monkey wrench into his career: No pretender, the drummer is set to rejoin Nine Inch Nails, whose current drummer, Ilan Rubin, will now learn to fly with the Foo Fighters. It wasn't planned as a trade, but it worked out that way – and in times like these, each band can now wish that they get the best of their respective timekeepers. More from TheWrap Chris Hayes Says He's 'Trying to Be Rational' About Epstein but Trump Officials Are 'Being Weird' | Video Foo Fighters and Nine Inch Nails Basically Just Traded Drummers 'South Park' Season 27 Premiere Nabs Almost 6 Million Viewers Across Platforms, Biggest Linear Share Since 1999 Media Columnist Erik Wemple Takes Washington Post Buyout, Will Join New York Times in September The Foo Fighters named Rubin their new drummer on Wednesday, according to multiple media reports citing unnamed sources. Rubin, the longtime touring drummer for Nine Inch Nails, was inducted with the band to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2020. Freese replaced the Foos' founding drummer Taylor Hawkins in 2023, but was asked to walk in May for creative-difference reasons that were not made public. Freese said he was 'shocked and disappointed' – but to say he was angry would be a terrible lie, as he wished his heroes well. And it wasn't everlong before Freese found a familiar hand that feeds. Freese had previously played with Nine Inch Nails' live tour from 2005 to 2008, but stepped away when he became a father to focus on his family. NIN confirmed Wednesday that Freese, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are, once again, all in this together – but only with a celebratory Instagram story. And if your head isn't already like a hole, it was Rubin who replaced Freese in 2009. Since it now seems that every day is exactly the same with these bands, he will do so again – but this time with Dave Grohl and his fellow Fighters. The timing couldn't be closer: Both bands are set for major tours, as NIN kicks off its Peel It Back tour next month, while the Foo Fighters will spend all their life on the road starting in October.
