X Factor winner to release first album in over ten years as they make huge return to the music industry
X Factor winner Leona Lewis is set to release her first album in over ten years. The singer, 40, who won the third series of the talent show in 2006, went on to achieve success in the music industry but chose to take an extended break and focus on other projects. Speaking in a new interview, she revealed when fans can expect to hear her new material after being in the studio for the last year. Leona told The Sun during a Q&A at 180 House in London: 'I've been in the studio since last year now. 'I'm pretty deep in the process and I'm producing everything, writing everything, so it's very new territory for me. 'But there definitely will be something next year. It means that it's very unfiltered. It's very raw.' Her debut studio album, Spirit, became one of the best-selling albums of the 2000s and the lead single, Bleeding Love, was the best-selling single of 2007. Leona went on to release four more studio albums, her most recent, titled I Am, dropping in 2015. She was the first British female solo artist to reach the top five with eight singles, beating out Olivia Newton-John's record of seven. During her break from the music industry Leona has been focusing on her other projects, charity work and motherhood. In December 2019, Leona and her husband, Dennis Jauch, opened a vegan cafe in Pasadena called Coffee and Plants, partnering with the National Forest Association to plant a tree for every cup they sell. They expanded to their second location in Studio City earlier this year and the cafe also works in partnership with Hopefield Animal Sanctuary, with proceeds of select items donated to the charity. The couple are also proud parent's to daughter Carmel, three. The announcement comes after Leona revealed a brand-new Las Vegas residency at Voltaire following in the footsteps of Kylie Minogue, Christina Aguilera and Jason Derulo. The Grammy-nominated singer will take to the stage at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas this holiday season with, A Starry Night, performing her first ever live shows in the United States. Leona will transform the glitz hotel into a winter wonderland for a set of exclusive performances running from November 1 until January 3. The X Factor winner will perform her hits Bleeding Love, Better In Time and Christmas classic One More Sleep during the Christmas spectacular at the intimate venue. The British star said it is a 'dream' come true to have her own show in Sin City, which has been 'years in the making'. She said: 'I'm elated to bring this show to Voltaire as it's been years in the making, made specially for my fans. 'Christmas has always been such a special time for me and my family and there's nothing quite like the energy of Las Vegas during the holidays. Can't wait to take the stage!' Sharing the news on Instagram, Leona added: 'A dream, years in the making. Coming to life in Vegas this November! 'I am so excited to officially announce my residency at Voltaire at @venetianvegas. Can't wait to share this new chapter with you'. The Grammy-nominated singer will take to the stage at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas this holiday season with, A Starry Night, performing her first ever live shows in the United States A Starry Night is intended for all ages with general admission tickets starting at $75 (£56) with VIP packages also available for purchase from August 1. Over at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace this Christmas Dolly Parton will be taking to the stage for her residency with prices ranging from £1,500 to £4,000. Leona will also follow the likes of Adele, Celine Dion, Kelly Clarkson, Rod Stewart, Elton John, Cher, Janet Jackson, Bruno Mars and many more. However it was Britney Spears' Britney: Piece of Me residency in Sin City, which ran for four years from 2013 at the Axis at Planet Hollywood, that caught Leona's eye originally 11 years ago. Despite it being unknown what Leona will be paid for her 33 date residency, she admitted back in 2014 she would be very keen to have her own show due to the staggering paycheck.

Taylor Swift shoots ‘top secret music video in Los Angeles so covert even staff on set were not allowed to hear song'
TAYLOR Swift may be set to surprise fans with new music as she was filming in secret in Los Angeles this week despite her reported break from performing, The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal. The singer has been enjoying some much-needed time off with boyfriend Travis Kelce after her record-breaking Eras Tour wrapped. 6 6 6 But fans have been hoping she could be set to release a new album in the coming weeks, noting that she has not gone a calendar year without dropping fresh tracks since 2016. The Instagram Taylor Nation, run by her social team, also fueled speculation they're counting down using her albums, which fans believe could conclude at the beginning of August. Now, an insider has claimed Taylor is definitely gearing up for her next chapter after more than 500 days. "Taylor was in Los Angeles on Thursday filming a new music video," an insider exclusively told The U.S. Sun. "It was so top secret that those working on set were not even allowed to hear the song, only the beat. "Even though she's been taking time off from touring and working a lot to spend time with Travis, there are still projects she's working on, which will no doubt please fans." The U.S. Sun has reached out to Taylor's rep for comment. Taylor's last release was The Tortured Poets Department, her eleventh studio album, which dropped on April 19, 2024, by Republic Records. SOCIAL COUNTDOWN Fans have been following Taylor's social posts desperate for information on the next era. One on X posted this week, "i absolutely NEED the feeling of pressing play on a new taylor album at midnight soon." A second wrote on the site, "i need a new taylor swift album right now i'm so parched." "I am so excited to see what this Taylor Swift countdown (or I guess count up?) leads to!!!" a third added. Taylor's next era comes after she bought back the rights to her first six albums, including music videos, concert films, artwork, and unreleased songs. This acquisition, reportedly costing $360 million, reportedly ended a long-standing battle for control of her master recordings when her former label, Big Machine Label Group, sold them to Scooter Braun's Ithaca Holdings. She alleged the deal went through without offering her the chance to purchase them. Scooter then sold the masters and all the rights to Taylor's tracks to Shamrock Holdings in 2020. Taylor, 35, confirmed in a statement that she now owns her back catalog once more. In a long letter, Taylor said, "All of the music I've ever made now belongs to me. All of my music videos. All the concert films. "The album art and the photography. The unreleased songs. The memories. The magic and the madness. Every single era. My entire life's work. MASTERS BATTLE "To say this is my greatest dream come true is actually being pretty reserved about it. "All I ever wanted was the opportunity to work hard enough to be able to one day purchase my music outright with no strings attached. "No partnership, with full autonomy. I will be forever grateful to everyone at Shamrock Capital for being the first people to ever offer this to me." In a post to Tumblr in June 2019, Taylor told fans that bosses refused to sell her masters to her unless she agreed to be locked into a new recording contract with them. Taylor wrote, "For years I asked, pleaded for a chance to own my work. Instead I was given an opportunity to sign back up to Big Machine Records and 'earn' one album back at a time, one for every new one I turned in. "I walked away because I knew once I signed that contract, Scott Borchetta would sell the label, thereby selling me and my future." Taylor vowed to take on the system and announced she would re-record her first six albums; Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989, and Reputation. Her last re-release was 1989, but she now doesn't need to re-record her album Reputation. During Taylor's work break, she has been spending quality time with her boyfriend Travis, 35. He shared a series of photos this week of their summer adventures, giving fans a rare glimpse into their relationship. Travis is now back in training camp with the Kansas City Chiefs ahead of the 2025 season. 6 6 6

Hailey Bieber, Kendall Jenner All Smiles at Justin Bieber's Album Release Party
Justin Bieber's album release attendees have all the "SWAG" in the world ... with some of the biggest celebs in Hollywood pulling up to the big event Thursday night. Of course, Justin and his wife Hailey were front and center at The Bird Streets Club in West Hollywood ... spotted holding hands. And, from the expression on Hailey's face later on, it looks like she had an incredible night! JB brought his eclectic aesthetic to the party ... pink hoodie, white beanie and bright green socks -- with pants sagging so low they're basically sliding off. Kendall Jenner proved classic black can never be replaced in a sleeveless top and tight leggings. She's holding hands with a dude here and covering part of her face with her hands ... probably do to all the lights being on her -- as per usual. Kendall and her mystery guy are laughing together ... and, he's holding what appears to be a bottle of Don Julio 1942 for the two to sip on while they're out on the sidewalk. She was also photographed in close quarters with another dude while riding in a van later on. The Kid LAROI went with a casual-chic outfit ... button-down white shirt and black slacks -- hopping down from the van he shared with a group before Bieber made his presence felt. Justin released "SWAG" earlier this month ... touching on troubles in his marriage and difficulties with the paparazzi -- though clearly it didn't stop either his wife or paps from showing up! July 25 (UPI) -- Mariah Carey is back with new music. She talked about her upcoming release on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Thursday with guest host Fortune Feimster. Feimster asked the icon why she waited seven years to release a new album. Carey last released Caution in 2018. "Really I was just getting it together. I would make like four songs and then be like, 'We can start making an album now,' and then I would never do it. And then I got up to like you know 10 songs and we were basically ready with an album," the singer said. The album has three covers, and 11 songs, including the previously released "Type Dangerous."
