The Great Indian Kapil Show 3: Pankaj Tripathi opens up about his love story with wife Mridula; says, 'I only ever fell in love with one woman and ended up marrying her'
The episode featured a powerhouse lineup including Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and director Anurag Basu. Host Kapil left no stone unturned to entertain the audience with his wit and humour.
After congratulating the star cast on their upcoming movie, Kapil teased them about their visible chemistry on set. He asked Pankaj Tripathi if he was happy to finally be doing a romantic segment in a movie, unlike most of his roles.
While he agreed with Kapil at first, he later mentioned how he doesn't know much about romance and only ever fell in love once—with his wife, whom he married. He then opened up about his love story with wife Mridula.
Pankaj said, 'I don't know much about romance, as the only person I ever fell in love with is my wife, and I ended up marrying her. I am from Bihar, and our quota of romance is anyways very little. However, I'm happy that I got to marry the person I romanced with.'

Anupam Kher, Anurag Basu, and others praised him for the same. Ali Fazal then agreed with him, saying he also married the person he loves and is very grateful for that.
Later, Kapil congratulated Ali and Neena for becoming a dad and a grandmother, respectively. While Ali thanked him, Neena mentioned how she wants her granddaughter to call her by her name, as she still wants to feel young.
Neena shared, 'I don't want to be called Nani, as Nani feels too old and I want to feel young. There are so many things I teach my granddaughter which Masaba doesn't know about. Moreover, if I live long enough, I'll teach many more things to her.'
