But American Chris Robinson was able to overcome a truly embarrassing clothing failure to win a 400m hurdles event at the Ostrava Golden Spike meet in Czechia.
While running the event, Robinson's shorts were not able to keep his genitals from being exposed to all those watching.
He made multiple attempts to adjust his shorts to try and prevent any further embarrassment to himself.
But eventually, he gave up his attempts to keep himself covered and focused on finishing the race.
As he crossed the line in first place, Robinson rolled into a somersault and laid on the track with a smile at his result.
The time of 48.05 seconds was just one-tenth of a second off of his personal best, and stood as his best time of the season.
Robinson beat out Brazilian hurdler Matheus Lima by just six hundredths of a second.
Third place was Czech native Vit Muller, who ran a time of 48.41 seconds in his home nation.
He crossed the line six hundredths of a second ahead of Brazilian Matheus Lima at the World Athletics Continental Tour Gold event, while Czech Vit Muller (48.41) was third.
Earlier this year, Robinson was part of a team that won gold in the 4x400m mixed relay at the 2025 World Relay Championships in Guangzhou.

A TEEN ice hockey star has died after plunging from a balcony in Ibiza - just days after another Scots tourist fell to his death at the same hotel. Gary Kelly, 19, fell from the third floor at the four-star Ibiza Rocks Hotel in the early hours of this morning. 5 5 Two ambulances were sent to the scene but paramedics said there was nothing they could do to save him. Ice hockey star Gary played for both Dundee Stars and Aberdeen Lynx last season. Tributes have been paid to the teen on social media since the news of his death. He has been described as a "hugely talented and charismatic individual" by Dundee Stars. A statement from the team said: "The Dundee Stars are truly devastated to learn that Gary Kelly has tragically passed away. "We send our thoughts and condolences to Gary's family, partner, and all his friends at this extremely difficult time. Anti-racism group questions England not taking knee
The head of football's international anti-discrimination body, Fare, has questioned England's decision to stop taking a knee before Euro 2025 matches after defender Jess Carter suffered racist abuse on social Sunday, the Lionesses said they would stop the anti-racism gesture as it was "clear we and football need to find another way to tackle racism".The Football Association (FA) is said to be fully supportive of the Lionesses' decision, and shares the squad's view that something else is now executive director Piara Powar said it was time for regulator Ofcom to take action against social media platforms, but also expressed disappointment at England's stance."The players have taken a decision to stop taking the knee, which is their right," Powar told BBC Sport."I personally don't see the link between the two. The taking of the knee is a powerful anti-racist act and this England team have shown leadership across Europe in taking it for so long."Powerful actions are needed right now, to deal with the issues that are being played out as we speak."In October 2023, the Online Safety Act became law dictating that social media platforms have a duty to protect users from content such as racism, death threats and calls for says it is now time for Ofcom to take action."The racial abuse of Jess Carter highlights again how toxic some social media users are," he said. "It also raises the question of the responsibility of the platforms to identify and remove harmful abuse such as racism."In this regard it is a very timely test for the Online Safety Act which seeks to protect users and regulate social media platforms."The act came into force in the autumn and Ofcom gained powers to enforce in March. There doesn't seem to be any public information available on action taken against the platforms thus far."
