Harper Beckham 'heartbroken' as brother Brooklyn set to miss her 14th birthday amidst family feud

Brooklyn Beckham is expected to be absent from his younger sister Harper's 14th birthday celebrations on Thursday.
Festivities are beckoning in the Beckham household this week, although it seems that one member might be conspicuously absent from the celebrations. As Harper, the youngest of David and Victoria Beckham's children, turns 14 on Thursday, murmurs of the intensifying family rift suggest Brooklyn may once again skip the celebrations.
Rumblings of discord between Brooklyn, his wife Nicola Peltz, and his renowned parents began stirring in the wake of Brooklyn and Nicola's lavish nuptials in 2022, and there seems to be no resolution in sight.

The 26-year-old has been seen revelling in his father-in-law's birthday – lauded by Nicola as the "most loving father" – but notably was away for David's own glitzy 50th celebration at Core, a restaurant in London's Notting Hill.

A source close to the Beckhams told the Mirror about the fallout of the spat, highlighting how Brooklyn's once-warm relationship with his siblings, birthday girl Harper included, has been inadvertently tarnished.
According to the source: "Harper's been particularly affected by what's going on because she's always been really close to Brooklyn. They've always had a lovely bond because Brooklyn was that bit older when Harper was born and the hope when Brooklyn married Nicola was that she'd become like a big sister to Harper in a house full of brothers."
"But obviously that hasn't happened and it's potentially going to be heart-breaking for Harper if Brooklyn doesn't show up for her on her birthday."
While Brooklyn and his model and actress spouse celebrated financier Nelson Peltz's 83rd birthday with Nicola's family in Bedford, New York, Victoria, aged 51, and David, who's 50, remained in the UK.
Nicola, aged 30, later shared a photo on her social media featuring herself with her father and Brooklyn, alongside a heartfelt tribute to Nelson which read, "I am so lucky to be your daughter, you're the most loving and supportive father I could ever dream of... Thank you for always being there for us – our constant love and support."

Should Brooklyn overlook his younger sister's birthday, it would add to a series of family gatherings that have yet to mend the Beckham family divide. Having missed David's pre-birthday festivities in the Cotswolds and Paris, Brooklyn and Nicola were also notably absent from his lavish dinner at a Michelin-starred restaurant in West London.
David's celebration was graced by some of his dearest celebrity friends, including Tom Cruise and Eva Longoria, with a special performance by his son Cruz, 20, on guitar, while Romeo, 22, had the honour of presenting David's cake.

Considering Brooklyn didn't mark his dad's significant day on any social media platforms, insiders suggest the likelihood of him "showing up for Harper" seems quite doubtful.
"A teenage birthday is a big deal for any child and in the past they've always tried to do things together as a family," the insider said.

"Victoria would like nothing more than for Brooklyn to show up to celebrate with them all, but it's not looking likely at all. He took a stand and missed his dad's 50th so he's not likely to suddenly do a U-turn and forget everything that's happened, as much as he loves Harper. But if he did, it could be a much-needed olive branch to start repairing things. An end to the family drama would be the best birthday present Harper – and her parents – could ask for."
The Beckhams have been sharing plenty of family love on their social media, yet Brooklyn has notably refrained from extending this affection towards his own folks. He seemed to exacerbate tensions by honouring Nelson with a birthday post, conspicuously ignoring his father's milestone.

Brooklyn last month celebrated the five-year anniversary of his engagement to Nicola, proclaiming it his "best decision ever". The source suggested that Brooklyn's allegiance appears to have shifted away from his family, which isn't shocking considering his marital status.
"He didn't want it to turn out this way and he's always been really close to all his siblings, but he is a married man now and his priorities have to lie somewhere else," the insider disclosed.
"He just doesn't feel his family have treated Nicola well and now that he's grown so close to her family in the States, he doesn't really feel like he fits into the Beckham family right now. If Harper's wish is to have her brother at home for her big day, sadly, she's probably going to be disappointed."
