Telangana CM Revanth Reddy urges Chandrababu Naidu to scrap RLIS, allow completion of Telangana irrigation projects; slams K Chandrasekhar Rao for ‘neglecting' Mahabubnagar

was sincere about equal development of both Telugu states, then he should scrap the Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation Scheme (RLIS) and allow
to complete irrigation projects in Palamuru (erstwhile Mahabubnagar district).

Addressing a public meeting in Kollapur in Nagarkurnool district, Revanth reminded Naidu that some projects in undivided Mahabubnagar district were started when the latter was the CM of united Andhra Pradesh.
"Meeru Vignulu (learned person). Come forward and cooperate, allowing Telangana to complete the Palamuru Lift Irrigation Scheme, Dindi, Kalwakurthy, Bima, Nettempadu and Koil Sagar projects. All these projects began either when you (Naidu) were the CM of the undivided state or leader of the opposition," Revanth said.
Stop RLIS aimed at taking away 3 TMC water daily. How far is it justified on your part to oppose these projects now? I am requesting the AP CM not to oppose these projects and be responsible. Allow us to live. Let us complete our projects, Revanth said in reference to their meeting convened by the Union Jal Shakti ministry to resolve river issues .
Revanth said people of Palamuru never forget favours and would always hold Naidu in high regard if he cooperated.
"If Naidu doesn't cooperate, Palamuru biddalu (children) know how to fight and achieve their rights, and Revanth would lead that fight," the CM said.
During his over one-hour speech, Revanth mainly targeted former CM K Chandrasekhar Rao for his comments that he (
) was pained to see people suffering under Congress govt.
Listing out the schemes of the Congress govt for women, farmers, youth and others, Revanth asked KCR if he was pained because these sections were reaping the fruits of welfare projects.

Revanth said KCR betryaed the people of Palamuru who stood by him when he had contested from the Mahabubnagar Lok Sabha seat for the cause of Telangana.
"KCR did not complete any project in the district. What has KCR done for this district in his nearly 10-year rule?" Revanth asked.
He added: "KCR, your pain is going to continue till 2034 as the Congress is going to be in power for 10 years. There is no relief for you. The pain will further engulf you, making you cry more.
KCR, whether you are pained, or you jump into the well or immolate yourself or your children resort to it, the Palamuru bidda (Revanth) is going to be the CM for 10 years, and this district will lead the state administration."
"My only wish is that you come to the assembly so that we can expose the injustices done by you to this district and you break down in repentance after listening to the good work being done in this prajala palana," Revanth said.
The CM said it was his responsibility to complete all the projects in the district and transform it from being a migration-prone area to a model district which rules Telangana.
Revanth reiterated that the govt will fill another 40,000 vacancies by June 2026, taking the total recruitments to one lakh in two-and-a-half years of Congress govt. Prior to the public meet, the CM offered prayers at a temple, laid the foundation stone for Young India Integrated Residential School.

Telangana caste survey a RARE model for India and Sonia's letter a Nobel prize: Revanth Reddy
Hyderabad Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy termed Telangana's Social, Economic, Educational, Employment, Political and Caste (SEEEPC) survey a 'Rare Model' for the country and the letter of Sonia Gandhi to him praising it as a 'Nobel prize and an Oscar' for him. Mr. Reddy was speaking after presenting the survey findings to senior leaders of the Congress at a meeting at the AICC office in New Delhi on Thursday. Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi termed it a 'historic milestone' and said that Mr. Reddy has set a benchmark for the nation. The Chief Minister showcased 88,000 pages of data gathered from an unprecedented door-to-door survey, where the public self-certified their caste and other details. 'This is the first of its kind survey in India to comprehensively collect caste-linked data spanning education, employment, political representation, and social status,' Mr. Reddy said amidst applause from the Congress leadership. The Chief Minister attributed the success to Mr. Gandhi and said that February 4, when the survey started last year, would be celebrated as Social Justice Day in Telangana. Highlighting an interesting finding of the survey, Mr. Reddy said 3.9% of people self-identified as not belonging to any caste. This group was identified as highly educated and English-speaking individuals by an Expert Committee that studied the data scientifically. Turning emotional, the Chief Minister showed a handwritten letter from Sonia Gandhi praising the survey and described it as 'more valuable than a Nobel or an Oscar,' and 'personal lifetime achievement.' The survey revealed that BCs constitute 56.36% of the State's population. Based on these findings, the Telangana government passed two significant bills ensuring 42% reservation for BCs in both local bodies and in education and employment. Criticising the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Chief Minister said that Mr. Gandhi made this possible unlike the BJP leaders who simply talk. He also targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying he was a 'legally converted BC' and would do nothing for the BCs. He said Mr. Modi was forced to repeal the farm laws by Rahul Gandhi, and a similar stand was taken by the Prime Minister on caste survey once Rahul Gandhi stepped up the pressure. Priyanka Gandhi said she was proud of Revanth Reddy for the achievement, and more so for having the political courage to do it. AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge, AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal, Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, Ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy, Ponnam Prabhakar and TPCC president Mahesh Goud were among those present.

The Karnataka CEO on Thursday also refuted the charges by Rahul Gandhi. Rejecting election cheating charges, the Karnataka CEO said that the electoral rolls are prepared transparently and copies were shared with the recognised parties. "As informed by the Election Commission of India already, Electoral Rolls are shared with all recognised political parties. During Special Summary Revision-2024, which was taken up before the General Elections to Lok Sabha-2024, the copies of draft and final electoral rolls of all 224 assembly constituencies were provided to representatives of all registered and recognised political parties, including the Indian National Congress (INC)," said Chief Electoral Officer of Karnataka V. Anbukumar. Anbukumar pointed out that between the draft and final publication of rolls, about 9.17 lakh claims and objections were received for consideration. His statement also highlighted that no appeals were received at that time, even as the political parties can file an appeal against wrongful additions or deletions in the Electoral Rolls. "As per law, an appeal can be filed against wrongful additions or deletions in the Electoral Rolls. No appeals received," said Anbukumar.
