There is no denying that the Milwaukee Brewers are the hottest team in baseball.
Fresh off their second three-game sweep of the Dodgers in less than two weeks, the Brewers now find themselves tied atop the National League Central, as well as tied for the best record in the NL.
There have been several key contributors during Milwaukee's hot streak, but almost none have come up bigger than first baseman Andrew Vaughn.

MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN - JULY 11: Andrew Vaughn #28 of the Milwaukee Brewers is congratulated in the dugout after hitting a solo home run in the seventh inning against the Washington Nationals at American Family Field on July 11, 2025 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. MoreOnce a top prospect with the Chicago White Sox, Vaughn's career in Chicago never quite panned out and he was traded to Milwaukee earlier in the season and optioned to Triple-A Nashville.
An injury to Rhys Hoskins opened a spot on the field for Vaughn and the Brewers felt it was time to give him a chance. He made his Brewers debut July 7, and he's been a man on a mission ever since.
Vaughn entered his Milwaukee debut with a .189 average on the season. Through eight games, his season average now sits at .212 and he's produced in nearly every game.

2 HR
12 RBI
1.239 OPS

Vaughn has reached base at least once in every game so far with the Brewers and as noted in the tweet above, they have not yet lost since promoting him to the major leagues.
Along with reaching base at an excellent rate, Vaughn has been a run producer in the middle of the order. He has at least one RBI in six of his eight games and three of those games have seen Vaughn collect two or more RBIs.

Vaughn has been the spark that's helped the Brewers skyrocket to the top of the NL Central after trailing the Cubs by 6 1/2 games one short month ago.
There is no doubt that when Hoskins is ready to return, Milwaukee will have to find a way to keep Vaughn in the lineup at all times.
A change of scenery may have been exactly what was needed for Vaughn to turn around what had been a poor start to a once promising career.
