
NBB signs deals with Real Estate Developers
The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) has signed five Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with prominent real estate companies during its participation in the recent Innovation Summit in Social Housing 2025. Held from 23rd to 25th April at the Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB), the Summit gathered key industry stakeholders to collaborate on advancing national housing ambitions.
NBB formalised the MoUs at its dedicated stand with ERA Real Estate, Kayan Real Estate, Delmon Gate, Best Location Properties, and Al Janabiya Gate. The agreements aim to offer social housing beneficiaries access to a broad range of property options backed by NBB's financing solutions such as its new Tas'heel+ product. The Bank will work closely with each company to facilitate hassle-free purchase experiences for customers throughout their homeownership journey. Through these collaborations, the Bank will further expand its mortgage finance portfolio to offer a more diversified pool of properties aligned with the financing needs of prospective buyers.

Towards Youth and Research Initiatives in Artificial Intelligence At the conclusion of the summit, a number of key recommendations were issued, foremost among them the launch of specialised training and research initiatives in artificial intelligence and future professions, targeting youth and entrepreneurs in the region. These initiatives will be developed in collaboration with regional and international partners, supporting the Arab digital transformation agenda and empowering Arab individuals to play an active role in shaping the future of technology, rather than merely adapting to it. The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB), in partnership with INJAZ Bahrain, hosted the closing ceremony of the second season of the Entaliq with INJAZ Powered by NBB programme. The event brought together participants of the INJAZ Bahrain Company Programme, members of the INJAZ Board of Directors, VIP guests, representatives from contributing entities, and NBB mentors to celebrate the achievements of the young entrepreneurs who took part in this year's edition. Entaliq with INJAZ Powered by NBB provides aspiring entrepreneurs with structured mentorship, seed funding, and incubation opportunities. The attendees receive 20 hours of professional guidance and hands-on support to shape their business ideas into sustainable and growth-oriented startups. A rigorous selection process ensures that only the most dedicated teams progress, reinforcing the project's goal of fostering innovative enterprises with the potential for long-term success. NBB and Batelco join to advance Cashless Bahrain
TDT | Manama The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) and Batelco by Beyon have signed a strategic partnership aimed at accelerating Bahrain's transition to a cashless economy by bundling fintech-powered payment tools with advanced telecom solutions for businesses. At the heart of the agreement is the integration of NBB GO, a SoftPOS application, into Batelco's business packages. This allows corporate clients to access tap-to-pay payment capabilities alongside enterprise-grade connectivity in a single offering, helping small and mid-sized businesses go fully digital. Bundling financial and digital tools NBB GO turns any Android phone with NFC capabilities into a point-of-sale terminal, enabling merchants to accept contactless payments without traditional hardware. The app is available on the Google Play Store and offers a low-cost entry into cashless transactions for retailers, startups and field-based businesses. By embedding this fintech solution into its telecom bundles, Batelco aims to reduce complexity for SMEs while strengthening digital inclusion and business agility. Serving development goals NBB's Group Chief Executive for Markets and Client Solutions, Hisham AlKurdi, said the partnership supports Bahrain's broader national vision. 'We are enabling businesses to embrace secure, efficient payment systems that complement their communication needs and align with Bahrain's digital transformation goals,' he said. Batelco's General Manager of Enterprise, Abdulla Danesh, added that the collaboration redefines business enablement. 'This agreement is about more than bundling services, it's about creating the infrastructure that empowers companies to grow and innovate.'
