The 29-year-old centre-back spent some of her youth with Spurs before turning out for their London rivals Charlton Athletic and Arsenal. Bartrip started her senior playing career with former top tier side Reading in 2014 and she spent seven successful years with The Royals.
In summer 2021, Bartrip returned home to Spurs and she has been a regular in the side during her time back in North London. The defender was an ever-present for The Lilywhites in the Barclays Women's Super League this season.
In 2023/2024, Bartrip picked up an Adobe Women's FA Cup final runners-up medal with Spurs contesting the showpiece for the very first time in their history. It was the first time that the player collected a medal since winning the old FAWSL2 with Reading in 2015.
Bartrip is a hugely important player for Spurs and the club have therefore opted to retain her services for three more years. She will be hoping to help the club climb the Barclays Women's Super League table under new management next season.

'Here we go': Man United miss out on sensational talent to European giants

Manchester United have missed out on one of their midfield targets, as they continue to prioritise attacking reinforcements. United are determined to hand Ruben Amorim a new striker to complete his revamped attack. Accordingly, the club's hierarchy have tabled a bid worth €85 million for RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko. However, they face competition from Newcastle United, who have submitted a higher offer for the Slovenian. The two clubs are now waiting for Sesko to make a final decision on his future. The arrival of the Leipzig star should greatly improve United's frontline. However, United also intend to address their midfield. After United secured the services of Bryan Mbeumo, it was reported that the Red Devils want to sign a defensive minded midfielder for Amorim. AC Milan leave Man United behind in the race for Jashari Early in the summer, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming United held talks with the representatives of Club Brugge talent Ardon Jashari. The 23-year-old midfielder has drawn comparisons to Barcelona legend Sergio Busquets, owing to his technical prowess. However, AC Milan have now struck a deal with the Belgian outfit for the United target. According to Fabrizio Romano, Brugge have accepted Milan's latest bid believed to be in the region of €39 million. Jashari is now set to undergo medical tests, having already agreed to move to San Siro. Man United to make offer for Sara United, meanwhile, have set their sights on Galatasaray midfielder Gabriel Sara, according to reports in Turkey. Sara, who left Norwich City in 2024, has proven to be a great asset for Gala in the middle of the park. Still, he could swiftly return to England amid interest from the Premier League giants. It is understood that United are considering making a bid for Sara 'in the coming days.' For the time being, it seems they are focused on Sesko. Aston Villa advancing in talks to sign Nice forward Evann Guessand

Aston Villa are advancing in talks to sign Nice forward Evann Guessand. Guessand has been a long standing target, with The Athletic reporting in January that the 24-year-old was among a list of young forward options Villa wanted to sign. However, it was decided that the player would stay at Ligue 1 side Nice until the end of the season. Advertisement Villa are now working on a deal to sign Guessand but face competition for his signature. A move is not close but discussions are ongoing over fee. Villa are keen to strengthen in the forward positions, but have been stifled so far in this window due to fears of breaching profitability and sustainability rules (PSR) and UEFA squad costs (SCR). Presently, the only permanent signing has been back-up goalkeeper Marco Bizot from Brest. Villa begin their Premier League season against Newcastle United on August 16. Guessand would match the criteria of striker Villa are looking for. A young, dynamic forward who can play multiple positions and provide depth up front. Currently Ollie Watkins is Villa's only archetypal No 9 after the departure of Jhon Duran in January and Marcus Rashford returning to Manchester United following his loan.
