Proposing a comprehensive four-pronged approach for advancing Indias energy independence, Union Minister emphasised the need for targeted innovation, infrastructure development, supply chain resilience, and holistic value chain growth. He stated that India must lead in research and development for energy storage by focusing on next-generation battery chemistries, solid-state and hybrid storage technologies, and circular supply chains.

Union Minister Chirag Paswan receives death threat
Union Minister Chirag Paswan who is also the national president of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) received a death threat on social media in which the sender claimed to attack the leader with a bomb. Following the death threat party's chief spokesperson Rajesh Bhatt lodged the case at Patna Cyber Crime Police Station at 9 PM, on Friday (July 11, 2025). Police have registered the case under section 66-F of IT Act which deals with cyber terrorism and 351 (2) of BNS (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita) which deals with criminal intimidation. In the complaint letter is it mentioned that Mr. Paswan has got the death threat on social media platform Instagram account of YouTuber journalist Dakshapriya by a person named Tiger Meraj Idrisi. 'Fearing due to growing popularity of my leader, today through social media, an Instagram account in the name of Tiger Meraj Idrisi has threatened to kill Union Minister Chirag Paswan Ji by blowing him up with a bomb which shows absolutely criminal tendency and involvement in illegal acts,' Mr. Bhatt said in the complaint. In the comment box, suspect Idrisi has written a message ''I will blow Chirag Paswan with a bomb on July 20, Chirag Paswan will be killed by me.' A senior official of the Cyber Crime Police Station confirmed that an FIR has been lodged with the case number 1592/25, dated July 11, 2025. Inspector Pradeep Kishore Sinha has been given the responsibility to investigate the case. 'We have received a complaint regarding a death threat against Union Minister Chirag Paswan through social media. Taking this matter very seriously, a case has been registered immediately. It is being investigated.' Nitish Chandra Dharia, Cyber Police Station In-charge cum Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) told the media in Patna. In the light of the death threat, Mr. Bhatt urged the police to take immediate action keeping in mind the seriousness of the matter and arrest the suspected criminal immediately along with harsh punishment. Arun Bharti the brother-in-law of Chirag Paswan and Jamui MP posted a message on social media platform 'X' on July 12, 2025 and accused opposition Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) responsible for the threat. 'Fearing an unexpected defeat, the criminal elements of RJD, who want to bring Jungle Raj 2.0 in Bihar, are now in a frenzy, threatening to blow up Chirag Paswan ji with a bomb on social demand that the state government pay attention to providing adequate security arrangements and take strict action against the culprit. Chirag Paswan is the son of a lion! He has never been scared of anyone, nor will he ever be! He will live for Bihar, He will die for Bihar!'

Don't jump to conclusions based on pilots' conversation: Centre on crash report

Dammam [Saudi Arabia], July 12 (ANI): Union Health Minister and BJP National President JP Nadda engaged with the Chairman of the Saudi-India Business Council, Abdulaziz Al Qahtani, along with the business community in Dammam in the country's Eastern Province, with discussions on the expansion of the economic partnership between India and Saudi Arabia. In a post on X, Nadda stated that he had a 'fruitful meeting' with Al Qahtani and held an in-depth discussion on the growing economic partnership and increasing collaboration between companies from both nations. The Union Minister also highlighted the vast investment opportunities in India across sectors such as fertilisers, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals, encouraging Saudi businesses to participate actively in India's growth journey. 'Had a fruitful meeting with Mr. Abdulaziz Al Qahtani, Chairman of the Saudi-India Business Council, and engaged with key members of the vibrant business community in Dammam, Eastern Province. We had in-depth discussions on the growing economic partnership between India and Saudi Arabia, and the increasing collaboration between companies from both nations. Highlighted the vast investment opportunities available across diverse sectors in India--including fertilisers, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and more--and encouraged Saudi businesses to actively participate in India's growth journey,' Nadda stated in the post. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, in Economic Cooperation, India is the second-largest trade partner of Saudi Arabia, whereas Saudi Arabia is the fourth-largest trading partner of India. During FY23, bilateral trade was valued at USD 52.76 billion. During this period, India's imports from Saudi Arabia grew by 23.47 per cent to reach USD 42.03 billion, and exports to Saudi Arabia were worth USD 10.72 billion, registering an increase of 22.48 per cent on a year-on-year basis. Total trade with Saudi Arabia accounted for 4.53 per cent of India's total trade in FY 2022-23. There are around 2,783 Indian companies registered as joint ventures or 100 per cent owned entities with investments worth approximately USD 2 billion in the Kingdom as of January 2022, as per the MEA. Saudi Arabia's direct investments in India amount to USD 3.15 billion as of March 2022. In June 2020, Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF) announced a USD 1.49 billion or a 2.32 per cent stake investment in Reliance Industries' Jio Platforms. In November 2020, PIF announced another investment of USD 1.3 billion or a 2.04 per cent stake in Reliance Retail Ventures Limited. In addition to this, there are also projects under consideration in the oil, gas and petroleum sectors. In the renewable energy sector, Saudi Company Al-Fanar has invested in a 600MW Wind Power project in India, as per the MEA. (ANI)
