Keke Palmer's $6,200 Chanel Bag Is Peak '90s Glam — And This $23 Lookalike Is Just as Chic
Keke Palmer just stepped out with a handbag that practically defined '90s glamour. With its glossy croc finish, classic flap shape and gold chain strap, her $6,200 Chanel beauty looks like it came from a top model's archive. Luckily, you don't need an actress' salary to recreate the vibe because we found an affordable Amazon lookalike that feels just as high fashion.
The One of Them Days star was just spotted out in New York City on June 17, serving serious '90s it-girl energy. She tapped into the Chanel archives with a patent leather crop top, slit skirt, vintage gold drop earrings and Jimmy Choo pumps. But the real showstopper? Her structured Chanel Top Handle Boy Bag that completed the vintage-inspired look. Naturally, we tracked down a $23 version that brings the same kind of glam — without the four-figure price.

While it's not Chanel, the Sg Sugu Quilted Crossbody Bag brings the same designer attitude, minus the label. This version is made with Chanel's iconic quilted fabric stitching, which adds to its quiet luxury feel.
Compact yet statement making, the bag is big enough to fit all of the essentials without taking over your whole look. Perfect for traveling or a night out with the girls, it fits your phone, wallet, and lip gloss. It even features an internal slip pocket for important cards or cash. Palmer isn't the only one opting for Chanel glamor. Shoppers bought the quilted bag over 800 times in the last month, giving it tons of five-star ratings to date.
We're not the only ones comparing this lookalike to the luxury brand. This Amazon shopper confirmed that the style has the 'feel and aesthetic of a Chanel bag.' They said the chain strap gives it an 'elevated feel' that adds 'little sparkle to a plain dress.'

Rihanna Wears Sheer Blue Chanel Gown to ‘The Smurfs' World Premiere
THE RUNDOWN On Saturday, Rihanna attended the world premiere of Smurfs in Brussels wearing a custom Chanel ensemble in baby blue. Rihanna voices the character of Smurfette in the new animated movie. Her chiffon top was constructed with layers of sheer fabric that swung lightly over her torso—she and her partner, A$AP Rocky, revealed they were expecting their third child at the Met Gala in May this year. Under the top, which was hung with dangling crystals and feathers, she wore a long silk skirt in the same delicate shade with embroidery along the hem. She had her hair half up and wore several pieces of delicate jewelry around her neck and wrists. By her side, A$AP Rocky was wearing a striped red-and-white button-down shirt and a red and blue tie. He was wearing wide-legged slacks and a pair of dark sunglasses. Both stars have been in Paris the last few days, first making an appearance at a show for the Dior menswear collection. Rihanna wore an embroidered cape-style coat over a mint green vest and button-down, while the rapper wore a brightly striped Dior tie. They then appeared at Rocky's show for AWGE as part of Paris Fashion Week. They were joined by their son, Riot Rose, making his fashion show debut. Rihanna was wearing a loose button-down shirt in a blue and red stripe pattern that opened over her belly, paired it with a pleated black miniskirt. She accessorized with white pointed-toe heels with criss-crossed laces over tall gray socks. She left her long hair down in gentle waves and wore a number of different chains and pendants of different lengths. Riot was also styled for the night, wearing purple pants, Vans, and a cute denim jacket over a white T-shirt.

Rihanna Wears Baby Blue Chanel to the Premiere of Smurfs
For the premiere of Smurfs in Brussels, Rihanna went for custom Chanel. The singer, and her partner A$AP Rocky, attended the Belgian premiere of the children's film on Saturday, June 28. Nodding to the occasion, Rihanna wore an almost Smurf blue look from the French house—choosing a celadon green silk chiffon top and skirt. Its sheer fabric was embroidered with crystals, porcelain sequins, and feathers; overall, it took the atelier 840 hours to make. The look was inspired by Chanel haute couture's spring 2003 collection. At the time, Vogue's review of the collection focused on its daintiness: 'The fondant colors—palest pink, peach and blue—the overlays of black lace and the scatterings of silver sequins made every piece a vision of femininity. This was a triumphant collection for Lagerfeld, as realistically wearable as it was dreamily desirable,' wrote Vogue's Sarah Mower. 'From first to last, the clothes were an exquisite achievement, crafted with such deftness and sweetness of color that even the house tweed evaporated into sparkling nothingness at the edges.' It seems that Rihanna's outfit is a perfect continuation of this sentiment. Recently, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have been on a style grand tour of Europe. Yesterday in Paris, they attended Jonathan Anderson's debut menswear collection for Dior. Rihanna wore a white button down overlaid with a pistachio green waistcoat, whereas A$AP Rocky wore a striped red-green-and-royal blue Dior tie. Then, the pair headed to the Temple de l'Etoile, where Rocky was debuting his latest collection for AWGE. And today, it was straight to Brussels for Smurfs, a movie in which Rihanna voices the character of Smurfette. Will this be their last stop, or do they have more high-fashion looks to debut on the continent? Only time—and the paparazzi—will tell.

Keke Palmer Pulled Jonathan Majors Podcast Episode Because ‘People Felt It Was Insensitive'; Defends Interviewing Him: ‘I Don't Judge Nobody'
Keke Palmer recently appeared on 'The Breakfast Club' (via Entertainment Weekly) and explained why her podcast interview with Jonathan Majors was pulled before its online release. Majors was set to appear on an April episode of 'Baby, This Is Keke Palmer' during his press tour for 'Magazine Dreams.' The episode never dropped and Palmer put out an interview with rapper Kash Doll in its place, resulting in a lot of questions from fans. 'Obviously, Meagan is my girl,' Palmer said about Meagan Good, who married Majors this year. 'I've grown up loving her. She's honestly a mentor to me and a representation for all of us young Black women. I mean, I was happy for her to get married. I was excited to have the conversation.' 'You don't agree with everything they did, you don't love everything, but you got to have the conversation. You have to set the stage for them to speak and for people to watch and take what they want to take from it, so that's why I was open and excited to do the interview.' Majors was convicted of assault and harassment in a 2023 domestic violence case involving ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari. He was sentenced to probation and an intervention program. The release of 'Magazine Dreams' in late March marked an acting comeback. Palmer said the team behind her podcast pulled the Majors episode 'based off of the reaction' of having Majors on as a guest, adding: 'People felt it was insensitive. I always want to be respectful and understand where everybody's coming from. If they're not going to feel like they're going to receive anything good from the interview, then okay, cool. But I sat down with the brother for us to talk and let him be heard. I mean, people sit down with serial killers.' 'I'm not comparing him to a serial killer,' Palmer continued. 'At the end of the day, I felt as a journalist, I'm supposed to talk and let the public decide how they want to feel. But that didn't get a chance to happen. I wish them all the best. I really want to say that because I don't judge nobody because I don't want to be judged. So at the end of the day, I'm happy for Meagan. I'm happy for them. Maybe one day, we get a chance to put [the podcast interview] out. I'm not sure.' Majors was found guilty in December 2023, derailing an acting career that reached new heights earlier that year with major villain roles in 'Creed III' and 'Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.' Majors was all set up to be the new Thanos-like villain of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Kang the Conquerer. Marvel parted ways with him after the verdict.
