Argos has brought back its Big Red Event has seen prices slashed up to 50% on countless tech products including Samsung tablets, LG TVs and Apple iPhones
Argos has kicked off its bank holiday sale by slashing the price of thousands of products. The retailer's Big Red Event is now in full swing and we've spotted price drops on top brands like Apple, Samsung, Shark and more, with some reduced by up to 50%.
Argos has made itself a cheaper option for shoppers in the market for a new smartphone, TV, tablet or vacuum cleaner without breaking the bank. All customers need to do to claim their discount is enter a discount code listed on the respective product pages.
The sale isn't around for long though and is due to end on June 3. But until then, we've pulled together a selection of deals that caught our eye, as well as a few ways to get the select products for even less.
Read on for our favourite deals in the Argos sale.
Shark Anti Hair Wrap Cordless Vacuum Cleaner – £175 (was £250)
Shark's flagship vacuum cleaner features the brand's signature Anti Hair Wrap technology, which removes hair from the brush-roll as it cleans to avoid any tangles. This model also has a 'Flexology' wand, allowing it to bend under furniture.
Argos is knocking 30% off the vacuum cleaner, beating Shark 's price of £247.49. Buyers have rated the Shark 4.6 stars, as one five-star review said: 'Delighted with my cordless vacuum. I have a hairy dog and it's brilliant for just picking up each morning without having to use the plug in vacuum.'
Another said: 'I've had Henry and Dyson, but neither are as good as this. Suction is amazing and the amount of stuff it picks up is incredible. It's lightweight and so easy to charge.'
But this three-star review said: 'Very efficient but had to return as far too heavy for an older lady, not suitable for anyone with weak hands/joints.'
43' LG Smart 4K TV – £161.10 (was £179)
This LG UQ769 Smart TV is already at its 'lowest price ever' at Argos, but is now available with 10% off. It boasts 4K Ultra HD picture quality and LG's immersive sound, plus easy access to streaming apps like Netflix, Disney+ and Freeview Play.
The TV has earned a near-perfect 4.8-star rating, as one buyer said: 'The picture quality is crisp and vibrant, with deep blacks and bright colors that make movies and shows look fantastic. The size is perfect for my bedroom, and the sound is surprisingly good without needing an external speaker.'
Another said: 'Excellent value for money. Picture quality is exceptional for this price.'
However, this review points out a downside: 'Remote is difficult to use and lacks features that I had on my previous LG TV. I am now using my old remote to operate the new TV.'

Google Pixel 8 – £349.50 (was £699)
This SIM-free Google Pixel 8 smartphone boasts a 6.2' OLED display, 50MP camera and up to 72-hour battery life. It's also packed with Google AI features that can fix photos, screen calls and get answers with Google Gemini.
Those seeking a newer model may want to consider the new Pixel 9a, which Amazon offers for £499. But even as a slightly older model, the Pixel 8 achieved an impressive 4.7-star rating, as one glowing review said: 'Great phone and camera. It works flawlessly and takes excellent pictures.'
Another said: 'Bought as an upgrade to my old Samsung and have been very impressed by the speed, responsiveness and usability. If you use Google and like Android, this is a great buy.'
This review was more mixed: 'Warms up when doing basic functions like browsing but otherwise brilliant.'
Google Pixel 8 – Buy it here
Apple iPhone 16 – £699 (was £749)
This may not be the biggest price drop in the Argos sale, but it's not often you get £50 off the latest Apple product. The iPhone 16 is part of Apple's latest smartphone series, with this model boasting Apple Intelligence features, 128GB of storage, a 48MP camera and smooth performance powered by Apple's A18 chip.
Amazon shoppers can get it ever so slightly cheaper at £698, or consider the more budget-friendly iPhone 16e (£599). The iPhone 16 has been awarded 4.8-stars from Argos customers, as one said: 'The performance is incredibly smooth – multitasking is a breeze and the overall user experience is fast and responsive. The display is stunning, making everything from streaming to browsing look amazing. Battery life is impressive too.'
Another said: 'Definitely best choice at this price range. Packed with great features, including Apple Intelligence, stunning design, and as close you can get to that compact phone feeling with a premium touch.'
But this less-impressed buyer said: 'The only difference from my iPhone 14 is the addition of a camera button. The location of the button is in an awkward position whereby it's not any easier using it versus how you normally use iPhone cameras.'
iPhone 16 – Buy it here
Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 – £151.20 (was £189)
Samsung says this Galaxy Tab A9 is ideal for 'everyday entertainment and productivity in a portable package' and it's now 20% off. The Android device features an 8.7' screen, split-screen multitasking and a powerful chip for TV streaming or web browsing.
However, shoppers can get the larger Tab A9+ for free by upgrading to a Galaxy S25 with a rival deal at Mobiles.co.uk, where the handset is available for £24.99 per month. But the budget-friendly Tab A9 has racked up a 4.5-star rating, as one reviewer said: 'Excellent small tablet, great size to take away on a holiday, so many functions. Much easier to see than a phone.'
Another said: 'It's priced relatively cheap but it's definitely a mid range tablet, can handle most tasks with ease. It can run all my favourite games and a decent battery too.'
However, shoppers should note the tablet doesn't include a charger, as this buyer said: 'There was no Samsung charger with this. I have always had chargers with previous tablets.'

Save £55 on the Ninja CRISPi in early Amazon Prime Day deal

The Ninja CRISPi Portable Air Fryer has multiple functions such as air fry, roast, keep warm and recrisp. Air fryers have become essential for many households. They are handy gadgets that make cooking easier, quicker, and more efficient. However, it can be expensive to invest in a good-quality one, and shoppers often find themselves doing without. Now, shoppers who may have been holding back on investing in one due to price could be in luck, as the Ninja CRISPi Portable Air Fryer is down to £124 from £179.99 on Amazon - more than 30% off. This air fryer has many desirable features, not least that it has the power of a full-size fryer despite it being a portable option. Shoppers can cook anywhere there's a plug, making it an ideal choice for smaller spaces. It also has multiple functions such as air fry, roast, keep warm and recrisp. It cooks with heated air for even results and food can be served directly from the bowl. For those on a health kick, the air fryer requires little to no oil and with a 3.8 litre container it can feed up to six people with the capacity for cooking a whole 1.2kg chicken and vegetables. This makes it an ideal option for family dinners, friend get-togethers or meal prepping lunches. Sides and smaller portions can be cooked in the 1.4 litre small container which are thermal-shock resistant and dishwasher safe for easy cleaning. If this isn't the one for everyone, they could instead try the Cookworks Halogen Air Fryer in Black for £32 from Argos which is suggested for three to four portions, has 15 litre capacity, a removable bowl and one cooking compartment. Another option is the Dualit Air Fryer 5.5 litre for £121.18 from Nisbets which is said to be designed to the highest specifications, uses convection heating and provides a healthy alternative to deep fat fryers. The Ninja CRISPi, however, has been rated a high 4.3 out of 5 star rating on Amazon. One shopper said: "This air fryer is fantastic. It's so easy to use and clean and looks far nicer than all the other bulky air fryers." Another shopper said: "Love the new Ninja. The smaller dish is great for single portions. Very easy to use... Very economical to use as it's such a compact size, I have tried burgers, sausages, roast potatoes, calamari and of course chips all cooked excellently." "This is amazing," another customer said. "The cooking process is easy, can cook everything in one go. Ninja is the best. I love the products and you know they are good and brilliant." Some people shared complaints with the Ninja CRISPi for a few reasons. One shopper said: "This is the first Ninja product I have purchased, and although it is easy to use and clean, I am disappointed that after only using the large crisping plate a couple of times, one of the silicone feet has split." Another said: "It hasn't been designed very well. Within one use, the rubber 'legs' on the grill plate had broken. Within two uses all of them had fallen off. It doesn't cook evenly - the back right is hotter than the rest. You also can't choose your own temperature." For a compact, cheaper and faster way of cooking, however, the Ninja CRISPi Portable Air Fryer could be an ideal buy.

Sell-out air conditioner ‘that's much better than regular fan' to ‘keep cool in heatwave' now in stock at major retailer

Argos shoppers are praising an affordable solution to stay cool in the hot summer temperatures. The air conditioner is popular for reducing discomfort on humid days and sticky nights, and it's under £80. As the UK faces one of the hottest Julys in recent years, many households are struggling to stay cool in their homes. For those seeking relief from the hot weather, the Beldray 6L Portable Air Cooler has emerged as a quick fix, now available on Argos for £75. The device had previously become a bestseller on Amazon, where it's now sold out due to popularity during the heatwave. Designed for hot, stuffy days, the portable air cooler is ideal for bedrooms, offices, or any room in need of a cooling breeze. It has an oscillating up-and-down function to target cool air where it's needed most, and a six-litre tank. It effectively cools the surrounding air, but it's the two-piece ice box that sets it apart from a regular fan. There are two ice packs included, which can be frozen and placed into a tray at the back, to enhance the cooling effect further and blow out freezing cold air. Compact and practical, the air cooler measures 55cm x 22.5cm, allowing it to fit easily into any space without taking up too much space, and there are wheels to move it from room to room. The cooler has three power settings, making it a versatile addition to any home. Though the Sun Shopping team hasn't tested the unit personally, some shoppers are praising its practicality and effectiveness. One satisfied customer shared: ''Fantastic little machine, really love how cold it gets and it's perfect for hot summers - much better then a regular fan.'' Another reviewer commented: ''Bought another at reduced price for the living room, kept us cool in this heatwave.'' A third shopper added: ''For the price I paid I wasn't expecting it to be that good, but it has really shocked me in a good way!'' ''It has different settings, isn't too loud and it even comes with ice packs for if you wanted it a bit colder. Great product.'' With temperatures remaining high across the UK, this deal might not be around for long, so grab the Beldray 6L Portable Air Cooler while stocks last and stay cool during the heatwave. If you're still wanting to compare air conditioners and find the best one for you, The Sun Shopping's best portable air conditioner round-up could be helpful. Or, if it's a fan you're looking to add to your home, the best home fans are also worth taking a look at.

'I'm heading on holiday soon - and I'm snapping up this £9 Samsung SmartTag2 deal'

Holidaymakers are flying off during the summer - and I'll be picking up this Samsung SmartTag 2 deal thanks to TopCashback Summer is here - and in the coming months, my partner and I will be travelling away to Scotland for a glorious week-long trip. However, both of us tend to be very clumsy when we pack away for a week. Things tend to go missing, and there have been times in the past when we've forgotten bags and valuables, much to our dismay. But the great thing about modern tech is that Bluetooth trackers have become extremely useful, especially for people like ourselves who love to misplace things. They are so good, in fact, that you can track down items with your phone within inches of where the Bluetooth tracker is. With my fiancé and I both owning a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, there's one Bluetooth tracker deal we're both going for—and it's this Samsung SmartTag 2 deal, thanks to TopCashback. It's robust, has an IP67 rating, making it dust—and water-resistant, and is a fantastic travel companion due to its impressive battery life. Argos is offering the SmartTag 2 for £23.99 on its website - but there's a way to get it for only £9. But how do customers secure this deal? Well, registering for TopCashback will earn them a free £15 on top of the cashback they receive from Argos. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to bag the deal: Snap up the Samsung SmartTag2 Bluetooth tracker for £9 from Argos Begin by signing up as a new member via this TopCashback link. Find Argos on the site and hit 'Get Cashback Now'. Shop and check out as usual on the Argos website. Sit tight; cashback will track and pop up in your TopCashback account within seven working days of the transaction. New members of TCB and fresh faces at Argos can snag the SmartTag2 for a mere £8.69 post-cashback, while new TCB devotees who are already Argos regulars will only have to shell out £8.79 after cashback. There are also many other options to choose from, such as the Tile Mate, priced at £20. The Tile Mate has proved a popular choice for Apple and Android fans who want cheaper alternatives to other official Bluetooth trackers. The Tile Mate works with most phones and has great cross-compatibility. Apple fans could go for the Apple AirTag, which comes in at £28 - Apple's official Bluetooth tracker that only works with Apple devices. The SmartTag2 is causing quite the buzz amongst users and has been receiving heaps of positive feedback. One satisfied customer recounted their initial scepticism and eventual satisfaction: "I was dubious at first, being solely reliant on Bluetooth and locked into the Samsung ecosystem, but it has worked well and stood up to the tests of frequent global air travel." They further elaborated: "Now have multiple tags for all my luggage and carry-on when travelling for work and have been able to track my bags without any issue even when my bags have landed up in a different location to me." Echoing this sentiment, another globe-trotting user offered their endorsement: "If you're a Samsung Galaxy owner, I would highly recommend it. Small, compact, robust, with great battery life."
