(Representational image) New Delhi: Schools in Noida (Gautam Budh Nagar) will remain closed on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 on the occasion of Sawan Shivratri. Some schools have conducted online classes on Tuesday, 22 July 2025, due to Kanwar Yatra traffic. This information was shared by the district education department announced on Monday, July 21. What did the district education department say? The district education department said, 'Schools across Gautam Budh Nagar will remain closed on Wednesday, July 23, in view of Sawan Shivratri'. This order is applicable to all government, aided, and private recognised schools from classes 1 to 12. 'Wednesday, July 23, has been declared a local holiday for all government and recognized schools in the district on account of Sawan Shivratri. The order covers all classes from 1 to 12,' said Dharamveer Singh, District Inspector of Schools (DIOS). In line with administrative orders, only online classes are allowed for schools, while regular operations will resume from Thursday, July 24. What do the schools say? Some schools in Noida, including Amity International School, Cambridge School, and Vishwa Bharti Public School, Sector 28, Noida, have also issued circulars confirming closure on July 23. 'The school, including the admin office, will remain closed on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, on account of Shiv Ratri (Jal Abhishek), as per the district magistrate's order,' said a note from the principal of Vishwa Bharti. Other institutions that have declared a holiday on Wednesday include JBM Global School, Ryan International School (Greater Noida), DPS Greater Noida, and Mayoor School, Noida while, several schools are yet to make official announcements, as updated till the time of filing of the story. Parents and guardians are advised to keep themselves updated with their respective schools for any information regarding the holiday as well as online classes, as the case might be.

Schools which are part of The Hindu in School (THiS) programme have achieved exceptional results in the ICSE and ISC results which were recently declared. Most schools achieved 100% results. St. Paul's English School (unit of presidency Group of institutions) in J.P. Nagar secured 151 distinctions for class 10 and 15 distinctions for class 12. Kaladhar Konduri (99.4%) and Koshidha (98.25%) are the toppers respectively. As many as 58 students of Insight Academy, Kanakapura branch, Vasanthpura, achieved distinctions, and with 98% Anshuman Girish is the topper. Auden Public School in Girinagar also achieved 45 distinctions for class 10 and Samartha K.P. is the topper with 98%. Adhithi Aravinthan who secured 99.6% is the topper from SFS Public School, Electronics City for class 10 and Shivani Veeresh with 98.8% is the topper for class 12I. The school secured 119 distinctions for class 10 and 29 distinctions for class 12. Shantiniketan Trust school, Bilekahalli, secured 23 distinctions for class 10 and Jivantika B. became the topper by securing 98%. S. Rohith Kannan with 99.6% is the topper of SJR Kengeri Public School which secured 90 distinctions for class 10. Christ Academy, Hullahalli, Begur Koppa Road, secured 183 distinctions for class 10 and Prajusha Behera, the topper, secured 99.6%. SEA International School, Ektha Nagar, K.R. Puram, got 20 distinctions for class 10 and two students, Aayush Das and Darshil. L. Reddy, shared the top spot with 95%. Ryan International School, Bannerghatta, achieved 35 distinctions and Nikhilesh S.M., and Shashank Tiwari both topped class 10 with 96.33%. Bunt's Sangha RNS Vidyaniketan, Vijayanagar, achieved 45 centums and 103 high distinctions for class 10 and Viharika Srujana Sangam secured 98.4% securing the top spot. From Carmel High School, Basaveswaranagar, 54 class 10 students secured distinctions and Harini K. is the topper with 97.2%. Ganga International School, Nelagadaranahalli, Nagasandra Post, achieved 18 distinctions for class 10 and Guna Sagar, the topper who got 98.4% secured 100% in maths, biology, and computer science. The New Cambridge English School ICSE, RPC Layout, Vijayanagar, got 168 distinctions and Samiksha K.H. is the topper with 98.66%. As many as 162 class 10 students and 65 from the science stream of class 12 and 132 from the commerce stream from St. Joseph's Boys' High School, Museum Road, secured distinctions. In class 10, Haripreeth U.T. is the top scorer with 98.16% while in class 12 science stream it is Ashrith Puppala with 98.2% and Soham Milind Joglekar with 99.2%. L. Cheryl Amanda and Saanvi Suman (both 98%) are the science toppers from Bishop Cotton Girls' School and Aaliyah Naomi Sylvester is the commerce topper with 97% in ICSE results. In ISC results, Kriti Sehgal with 98.25% is the commerce topper, Andrea Gracelyn W. with 98.25% is the arts topper and Aliza Sami with 95.25% is the science topper for class 12. Ryan International School, Kundalahalli, secured 90 distinctions for class 10 and Katherine Mary Kannerkerill and Konda Shashank are the toppers with 99.4%. Chavi Jain who scored 98.25% in commerce and Gracy Srivastava who scored 95% in science are the topper of class 12. From Ryan International School, Yelahanka, Anagha Adiga with 97.8 % is the topper of class 10 and the school got 90 distinctions. Martin Luther English School, Girinagar, achieved 20 distinctions for class 10 and K. Pranav Kini is the topper with 97.2%. As many as 30 class X students from SSB International School, Indiranagar, secured distinctions and Joanna A. Selin is the topper with 95%. Pradeepika S.B. with 93.2% in commerce and Shreyas Bhat with 96.6% in science are the toppers of class 10 from St. John's School, Cox Town, which secured 30 distinctions in commerce and 67 in science. In class 12, Rohit with 96% is the science topper, Rochelle Angelica Peck with 97.25% is the commerce topper, and Hlalgousang with 94.5% is the arts topper. Amara Jyothi English Primary School, Devasandra, K.R. Puram, got 20 distinctions for class 10 and Neeraj S. is the topper with 97.8%. Mitra Academy, Arekere, Bannerghatta Road, secured 83 distinctions for class 10 and Srinika Mugundan and Navya Nandan Nair share the top spot with 99%. BNM Public School, Banashankari 2nd Stage, got 22 distinctions, with Ranjan S. Kotagi emerging the topper with 97.4%. Little Flower Public School, Banashankari 3rd Stage, got 209 first classes with Yukta Adiga topping with 98.3%.
