Orlando Pirates announce EIGHTH departure!
Orlando Pirates squad revamp is well underway.
Initially, the Bucs released SEVEN players. However, this number has grown to eight following the decision to loan out this star.
Pirates released Innocenet Maela, Miguel Timm, Thabiso Monyane and Paseko Mako.
Thereafter, Phillip Ndlondlo and Monnapule Saleng (loan) made their way out of Naturena.
More recently, Mohau Nkota and Goodman Mosele's departures have been confirmed. So, Nkota has made his way to Saudi Arabia. Whilst, Mosele has been loaned out.
'Orlando Pirates Football Club can confirm that an agreement has been reached for the permanent transfer of Mohau Nkota to Ettifaq Club in the Saudi Pro League,' Pirates confirmed in a statement.
Mosele joins PSL rivals, Chippa United on loan.
'He's not the only one from Pirates that will be loaned to Chippa, but I can tell you for sure that Goodman has been shipped to Chippa. I'm not sure what this means for his future going forward if he does well, because at 25, age is still on his side,' the insider stated on Phakaaati .
Meaning, he is the second Bucs player to be loaned out. He follows in the footsteps of Monnapule Saleng who has been loaned out to Orbit College.
It will be interesting to see which other Pirates players join Chippa. As well as which Bucs stars are released under new head coach, Abdeslam Ouaddou.

Kaizer Chiefs news: New striker to be sacrificed?
Kaizer Chiefs could look to sacrifice striker Tashreeq Morris after just seven months at the club. The 31-year-old forward has struggled to find his feet at Naturena, having signed from SuperSport in January. Morris only scored once for Chiefs in the nine matches he played for the club last season. According to Soccer Laduma , Kaizer Chiefs are set to make changes to the attacking department, with indications that Tashreeq Morris could be sacrificed. 'The technical team wants to have strikers with wingers believed to be playing a part in the attack. In their restructuring of the squad, they are believed to be looking at releasing one or two strikers, with Tashreeq Morris' name being bandied about. We will see after the pre-season for the final decision on which strikers will be sacrificed,' a source revealed to Siya crew. 'As much as the team is believed to be looking at releasing strikers, they are still looking at signing at least one more attacking midfielder. They are talking about a winger or another number 10. I think that could be last signing for this window,' the source added. So far, seven players have left Kaizer Chiefs in the last seven weeks. Club captain Yusuf Maart has left Amakhosi to join newly-promoted Austrian Football Bundesliga outfit, SV Ried. The 29-year-old joined Chiefs from Sekhukhune United in July 2022, making his debut away to Royal AM the following month, and featured in 95 matches in the Gold & Black in all competitions, scoring seven times, including the winning goal in last season's Nedbank Cup Final. New Kaizer Chiefs star sends a message to the coach
This new Kaizer Chiefs attacker has never played in Mzansi but was born in Durban 26 years ago before establishing his entire professional career in England. Chislett made a name for himself with standout performances at clubs like AFC Wimbledon and Port Vale, where he became known for his goal contributions and playmaking ability. Now back in South Africa after joining Kaizer Chiefs on a two-year deal, the versatile Chislett has revealed his favoured playing position. Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana winger: What happened? Kaizer Chiefs unveil Ethan Chislett. Image: Kaizer Chiefs website Speaking to the club's media, Chislett was asked to describe himself as a footballer. 'Versatile midfielder, can sit deep, play further forward and wide right, even striker a few times, although more in a 'false 9' role,' he said. Timeline report: New Kaizer Chiefs kit unveiling 'I like to cut in from the left onto my right foot, but if I had to define my best position, it would be a 'number 10'. 'I appreciate creativity, but the bottom line is you have to score goals to win games. I'd like to think I can rise to the occasion when called upon to make a decisive contribution for my team, and that's what motivates me. 'It will probably be surreal. It's something I'll look back on. Sometimes when you're in the moment you don't take everything in but afterwards it will fully sink in,' added the new Glamour Boy. 'I came to South Africa for the 2010 World Cup and watched a match in that stadium, so it's going to be unreal for me, and my family, to play there,' Chilett concluded. Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana winger: What happened?
Kaizer Chiefs target Mihlali Mayambela is seemingly remaining with Aris Limassol in Cyprus. The 28-year-old was heavily linked with a return to Amakhosi this winter. Before moving to Sweden's Djurgården aged 18, Mayambela played professional football in the Motsepe Foundation Championship with Cape Town All Stars. The former Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates development player became a journeyman abroad via countries like Portugal, Israel and Cyprus in the Middle East. Timeline report: New Kaizer Chiefs kit unveiling In Cyprus, with Limassol during the 2024/25 season, Mayambela played 23 times with four goals and five assists. Mihlali Mayambela in action for Aris Limassol in Cyprus. Image: samsonmayambela/X According to this update, his club, Limassol, expected far more than Kaizer Chiefs expected for a player with one year left on his contract. Kaizer Chiefs to make a big announcement 'You know it's believed that personal terms between the player and the club were agreed but apparently his club were looking for a big transfer fee while he has only one year left on his contract,' an insider told Soccer Laduma . 'And looking at the other players they signed so far it's believed Kaizer Chiefs felt the asking price was too much and that's why they had to put the move on hold. But they were really interested in signing him, and the player was also happy to come back home,' the insider added. 'It's not over yet. It's apparently just for this window period. They are considering wanting for him to have a free agent status around January and make the second move. But that will also depend on whether Aris Limassol will already renewed his contract or not. That's what Kaizer Chiefs will be working on for now,' the source concluded.
