Celine Dion fans left horrified after 'invasive' Ellen DeGeneres interview resurfaces
The clip, which originally aired in 2007 on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, has recently resurfaced online - and viewers are revisiting the talk show host's often uncomfortable interviewing style because of it.
In the segment, Ellen commented on Dion's then-six-year-old son René-Charles' long hair, joking, 'It seems like you're busy with something, 'cause you're forgetting to cut your son's hair.'
The comment was met with mixed reactions from the audience - laughter with audible gasps - but Dion didn't hold back.
'Do you have a problem with that?' she asked, clearly caught off guard.
Ellen tried to walk it back, saying she didn't have a problem, but then doubled down: 'That is some long hair!'
Dion responded with grace but set firm boundaries, explaining that her son made his own choices about his appearance.
'Whatever I will do, I won't please everyone… Do you know that René-Charles makes his own decisions?' she said. 'When he's ready, I'll cut it.'
Ellen quickly moved on to another topic, seemingly brushing off Dion's response.
The moment, largely forgotten until now, has sparked renewed scrutiny in light of previous controversies surrounding Ellen's behavior toward guests.
In 2020, BuzzFeed News published an investigation into the Ellen Show's alleged toxic workplace environment, which led to a broader reexamination of past interviews.
One notable example is Mariah Carey 's 2008 appearance, where she was pressured into revealing a pregnancy she later miscarried.
Carey would later call the experience 'extremely uncomfortable.'
Though Ellen denied knowing about any toxicity behind the scenes - even insisting in 2021 that celebrity guests always commented on the show's 'happy atmosphere' - old clips like this are once again calling that into question.
Now, fans are reacting to the Dion moment with fresh eyes.
'I love how badly some of these Ellen clips have aged,' one Reddit user wrote.
Fans slammed Ellen for her comments, pointing out similarities between this interview and other 'rude' ones the host had over the years
'She was viewed as a "fun" and "happy" place to go promote things and instead some people got rude invasive questions masked under humor and some people she literally scared the daylights out of with her "surprises."'
'This is also such a weird topic for Ellen to bring up,' another wrote.
'She has Céline Dion sitting with her on on a talk show, and she wants to focus on her kids hair?'
Some users even questioned why it took so long for Ellen to be exposed for some of her 'terrible' behavior.

Shane Gillis' awkward ESPYS monologue draws mixed reactions
Comedian Shane Gillis ' opening monologue as host of the ESPYS went over awkwardly in front of some of the biggest names in sports on Wednesday night. Early on, he called out various famous faces in the Dolby Theatre crowd, including retired WNBA star Diana Taurasi, who was to receive the Icon Award later in the evening. Gillis said, 'Give it up for her' after calling her 'Deanna.' The camera showed an unsmiling Taurasi shaking her head. Gillis quickly caught his mistake, saying, 'My bad on that.' Gillis moved on to WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark, who wasn't on hand. 'When Caitlin Clark retires from the WNBA, she's going to work at a Waffle House so she can continue doing what she loves most: fist fighting Black women,' he joked. While some in the audience laughed, others appeared uncomfortable. Gillis plowed on for 10 minutes, with jokes about President Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein, whose sex trafficking investigation has roiled the Justice Department and FBI. Gillis' performance drew mixed reviews on social media, with some calling him 'hilarious' and others 'cringey.' NBA Finals MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander smiled when Gillis said, 'SGA is here. Everybody sitting around him is in foul trouble.' Gillis retold what he called 'a dumb joke' that he said he loved from former 'Saturday Night Live' comic Norm MacDonald's stint as ESPYS host in 1998. Gillis congratulated Colorado two-way player Travis Hunter for winning the Heisman Trophy. 'That's something they can never take away from you unless you kill your wife and a waiter,' he said, referring to the late O.J. Simpson. Before closing it out, a smiling Gillis said, "I see a lot of you don't like me and that's okay. That's it for me. That went about exactly how we all thought it was going to go. I don't know why this happened.' Sports Humanitarian Awards The Indianapolis Colts and former U.S. Open tennis champion Sloane Stephens were among the winners at the 11th annual Sports Humanitarian Awards. The Colts were honored as the team of the year for their Kicking the Stigma campaign to raise mental health awareness and expand access to treatment. Stephens received the Muhammad Ali award for her namesake foundation that works to make tennis more inclusive through access, representation and support for kids on and off the court. She beat out Washington Wizards guard CJ McCollum and Washington Capitals star Alex Ovechkin. Michele Kang, the billionaire owner of the NWSL's Washington Spirit, was chosen as the Sports Philanthropist of the Year. Billy Bean, former MLB player and executive, was honored with the Stuart Scott ENSPIRE Award on Wednesday night. ___

Emily Ratajkowski flashes cleavage in racy peekaboo dress as she reveals she's 'decentering' men in her life
Emily Ratajkowski stunned in four ensembles as she promoted her new Netflix series Too Much in New York City on Wednesday. The supermodel, 34 - who recently opened up about motherhood as she hit back at critics - also dished on 'decentering' men as she stopped by the Today show. The beauty — whose ex-boyfriend is expecting a child — first turned heads wearing a long-sleeved, scooped neck top as well as colorful buttons on the front. Ratajkowski additionally slipped into a pair of fitted, black capri pants and open-toed black pumps to complete her summer look. Her long, brunette locks were parted in the middle and effortlessly flowed down past her shoulders in light waves. Emily opted for minimal accessories to allow the outfit to be the main focal point, and added a pair of mini silver earrings as well as fashionable shades. The supermodel - who recently opened up about motherhood as she hit back at critics - also dished on 'decentering' men as she stopped by the Today show She was seen showing off the stylish ensemble as she headed towards the studio ahead of her appearance on Today. The former Nickelodeon actress later joined hosts Jenna Bush Hager and guest co-host Willie Geist to talk about her role in the new Netflix show Too Much, which was released on the streaming site on July 10. At one point, Emily was questioned if it was true that she has been 'deprioritizing' men in her life. The model was previously married to Sebastian Bear-McClard from 2018 until their divorce in 2022. The former couple - who share son Sly, four - had split amid accusations that he was a 'serial cheater.' 'Well, the kids say decentering,' Ratajkowski lightly joked, and elaborated to the Today hosts that it was true. 'I am a single mom and I just really, I think as I've gotten older I started to really value community with other women particularly. And that's definitely a priority for me.' She added, 'I think it's one of the best parts about living in New York as I get to meet so many amazing women and queer people. And yeah, I really value community these days.' Following her split from her husband, Emily seemingly came out as bisexual in October 2022 after posting a TikTok clip. The halter-styled ensemble had a large cutout on the front which offered a sultry flare and she also slipped into the same pair of heels from earlier in the day The beauty first turned heads wearing a long-sleeved, black top with a scooped neckline as well as colorful buttons on the front Ratajkowski additionally slipped into a pair of fitted, black capri pants and open-toed black pumps to complete her summer look The media personality reacted to a video that asked those who 'identify as bisexual' if they 'own a green velvet couch.' In the reel, the star could be seen lounging on a sofa and then panned the camera to show off her green velvet couch. The following month, she expressed to Harper's Bazaar: 'I think sexuality is on a sliding scale. I don't really believe in straight people.' Ratajkowski later said, 'I want to be able to have fun with how I present myself in the world without feeling like I'm a bad feminist or a good feminist. Duh. I don't want to be a part of your club if you don't want to have me. It's fine!' Emily filtered through a busy schedule on Wednesday as she had three other outfit changes during her busy day of promoting Too Much. In the series - which was created by Lena Dunham and her husband Luis Felber - the star portrays the character of Wendy Jones. As she arrived to film Late Night With Seth Meyers, the model put on a leggy display wearing a vibrant blue snakeskin minidress from Gucci. The halter-styled ensemble had a large cutout on the front which offered a sultry flare and she also slipped into the same pair of heels from earlier in the day. The Calvin Klein look comprised of a fitted blazer which was secured with buttons on the front as well as matching trousers Ratajkowski also flaunted her chic sense of style in a white suit as she visited CBS Mornings. The Calvin Klein look comprised of a fitted blazer which was secured with buttons on the front as well as matching trousers. During her interview on the talk show, Emily reflected on her recent 34th birthday last month and goals that she has for the future. 'Well, I've always wanted to be on the other side of the camera,' she said, and explained that when it comes to modeling, there is little creative control. 'I think acting can be much more expressive and a little different. But as somebody who has written a book, I think kind of marrying all these things are what I'm looking for.' Back in 2021, she notably published a book titled My Body which landed on the New York Times bestseller list. Lastly, Emily opted to cut a casual figure in a shirt that had 'I'm a speed skater' printed on the front as well as black capri leggings. She also stuck with the same black pumps for all of her differing outfits. Too Much - which also stars Will Sharpe and Megan Stalter - was created by both Lena and husband Luis Felber. The premise is: 'After a breakup, New York workaholic Jessica moves to London planning on being alone. She meets Felix who causes her to reconsider finding love again,' per IMDB. Dunham has also been working on a romcom called Good Sex - which stars Natalie Portman in a leading role. Last month on June 7, Emily rung in her 34th birthday and was joined by close pals as she twerked the night away for a lighthearted bash. In an assortment of memorable snaps from the party, the model revealed that she was a given a cake that was in the shape of her bikini-clad behind.

Rob Kardashian reveals if he's dating eight years after explosive split from Blac Chyna
Rob Kardashian has revealed he has not seriously dated anyone in the eight years since he welcomed his daughter Dream into the world. The 38-year-old shares his little girl with his ex-fiancée Blac Chyna, with whom he starred on the short-lived reality show Rob and Chyna. Their split in 2017 triggered an explosive feud that unfolded in the courts as each of them denied allegations of physically abusing the other. In recent years Rob has retreated from the spotlight to raise Dream, giving up reality TV altogether and only rarely posting to his Instagram page. Now, however, he has finally shed some light on his love life in an interview with his sister Khloe Kardashian, who has described herself as Dream's 'third parent.' He shared that although he has 'dated,' his relationships have never 'gotten serious' because his 'energy is just into Dream,' on the podcast Khloe in Wonder Land. Even during his podcast appearance, Rob retained his privacy by calling into the show rather than appearing in person like previous guests such as Dolly Parton. Khloe read out a few fan questions that Rob answered, and when the subject turned to whether he was dating, he replied vaguely: 'I just talk to people.' 'You talk to a lot of people, Rob,' said Khloe with a smirk. 'People think – Rob might be a recluse, but let me tell you, Rob still gets around. It's wild. I've never seen anything like it. Teach me your ways!' 'I mean, I'm good at talking to people,' Rob acknowledged: 'but also there's come moments where I'm like: 'Okay, I can't talk to anybody. It's too much energy.' It's just too much. I'm talking to too many people. I don't wanna be like that.' He also pointed out that 'I have a daughter. I'm trying to be a good example. I don't bring girls in the house. I don't have girls meet my daughter.' 'That's very responsible of you,' replied Khloe, who shares her own children True, seven, and Tatum, two, with her serially unfaithful NBA ex Tristan Thompson. 'But I've always been that, since she was a baby. So I've been single – she's eight years old – I've been single for eight years, since she's been born,' said Rob. 'And it's just like yes, of course I've dated and stuff, but I've never gotten serious or wanted to. My energy is just into Dream,' he added. Their split in 2017 triggered an explosive feud that unfolded in the courts as each of them denied allegations of physically abusing the other; Rob and Chyna are pictured in 2016 On an episode of The Kardashians in 2023, Khloe described herself as Dream's 'third parent' and confessed that she was not in touch with Chyna; Khloe and Dream are pictured that year Rob allowed that 'I'm probably too strict with that. I probably should have fun and enjoy my life and stuff, but – I mean, I still have fun and I enjoy my life. I just don't care to be dating somebody honestly, unless it just happens. It just hasn't happened.' He continued: 'But I definitely talk to people. I just don't – I'm not out here going on dates. And you know, sometimes I do, but I really prefer not to. I prefer none of that.' After Rob and Chyna's engagement ended, she carried on a rancorous feud not just with him but also with the Kardashian-Jenner family. She unsuccessfully sued multiple members of the family - including Khloe - claiming they connived to have her reality show Rob and Chyna canceled. After losing the suit, Chyna became a born-again Christian and overhauled her life, quitting OnlyFans, having her plastic surgery reversed and going on the wagon. She was engaged to Grammy-winning music producer Derrick Milano for two years before they announced their split this month on the Fourth of July. On an episode of The Kardashians in 2023, Khloe described herself as Dream's 'third parent' and confessed that she was not in touch with Chyna.
