Predicting which game the Eagles will wear their alternate Kelly Green uniforms
Philadelphia announced its 2025 schedule on Wednesday night. They will face the gauntlet of juggernauts in the NFC North and AFC West and division winners in the NFC West, AFC East, and NFC South.

One key aspect of the schedule release is predicting wins and losses, and when the team will wear alternate all-black or Kelly Green uniforms.
Philadelphia has one of the top uniform combinations in the NFL, and if DeVonta Smith had his way, the Midnight Green home jersey would become an alternate or throwback. Fans and Eagles players have clamored for a jersey switch, and while the Kelly Green isn't likely to become a permanent norm, it could be worn more often.
Back in March, Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reported that the NFL is updating its uniform policy to allow teams to wear throwback or alternate uniforms up to four times per season. Philadelphia last regularly wore Kelly Green jerseys (and helmets) in the 2010 season. Shortly after, the NFL implemented a rule requiring teams to have only one color as a safety precaution.
The Eagles will now have Kelly Green and the all black helmet and uniform combinations going forward.

Week 1: Thursday, September 4: Home vs. Dallas Cowboys at 8:20 PM (NBC^)
The most in-demand game on the 2025 NFL schedule, the Eagles will raise a Super Bowl banner and kickoff the season at home against the Dallas Cowboys. A throwback feel is appropriate.
Week 8: Sunday, October 26: Home vs. New York Giants at 1 PM+ (FOX)
The Giants have retooled, added Russell Wilson at quarterback, and Abdul Carter in the NFL draft. This is the second of two meetings, and throwback jerseys for both teams are appropriate.
Week 15: Sunday, December 14: Home vs. Las Vegas Raiders at 1 PM+ (FOX)
Ashton Jeanty, Geno Smith, and Chip Kelly will lead a retooled Raider offense into Lincoln Financial Field.

Phillies slugger Bryce Harper ejected following outburst over called third strike
PHILADELPHIA — Phillies slugger Bryce Harper was ejected in the seventh inning of Friday's game against Detroit for arguing a called third strike on a check swing. The Phillies scored three runs in the seventh to tie the game 3-all and had two runners on base with two outs when Harper faced Tigers reliever Will Vest. Harper tried to check his swing on a full-count changeup from Vest, but third base umpire Vic Carapazza rang up the Harper, who ripped his helmet off his head in a outburst and shouted as he waved his arms at Carapazza.
