Some of the cuts he suffered have been described as deep gashes.
He was admitted to Son Espases Hospital in the Majorcan capital Palma this evening.
His exact condition is not known but his condition when he left the scene was described as "serious."
The drama happened just after 5pm local time today opposite upmarket Nikki Beach in Magaluf.
The tourist and his pals, who were also described in local reports as "inebriated", had rented the boat hours earlier and spent most of the day at sea.
Lifeguards on the beach were the first to assist the injured man before Civil Guard officers, Civil Protection workers and paramedics reached the scene.
He was stabilised before being evacuated to hospital in one of the two ambulances sent to the scene.
Dozens of worried sunbathers watched on as he was taken away in an ambulance as he was taken away.
No-one could be reached at Son Espases this afternoon for comment.
There has not yet been an official comment from the Civil Guard in Majorca, which has launched an investigation into the incident.
Last weekend mum-of-four Debra Wright died after the jet ski she was riding pillion on was hit by a boat being piloted by a friend off Manilva west of Estepona on the Costa del Sol.
Her Greater Manchester-based husband Chris, 52, described her as an 'amazing woman' in a tribute. He also told how he cradled his dying wife in his arms.
The unnamed friend was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and an alcohol-related offence after failing a breath test.
He was released without charge pending an ongoing criminal probe after appearing in court in Estepona last Sunday a day after the tragedy.

Hunt for 'vile' driver who mowed down 81-year-old woman in 'hit and run' in East Kilbride

The pensioner remains in hospital while police continue their hunt for the suspect. Police are hunting a Scots driver suspected of cruelly mowing down a pensioner and driving off in a 'hit and run' in East Kilbride. The 81-year-old is believed to have suffered a broken thumb, ankle and knee in the horror road crash at the Strathcona Lane and Heathery Knowe junction near to the Murray shops on Friday morning. ‌ Her family have claimed the "vile" driver stopped only to move the stricken pensioner from the road before fleeing the scene. ‌ She remains in hospital while police continue their hunt for the suspect. The victim's daughter took to social media to appeal for information to bring the perpetrator to justice. She wrote: "Turning to Facebook to appeal for some help and hoping that by some miracle we can get some information. "This morning at approximately 8.45am my mum was hit by a car on Heathery Knowe, just at the junction of Strathcona and the road at the back of the Murray shops. "Unfortunately the male driver doesn't have much of a conscience as after sitting for a bit and realising my mum wasn't moving, although he got out the car and asked if she could move, he then moved her before getting back in his car and driving off! ‌ "Thankfully my mum has no internal injuries however at 81 years old she is in hospital with a broken thumb, broken ankle and knee which has resulted in her having a cast put on from her toes to her mid thigh leaving her immobile and in hospital for the foreseeable, due to living on her own she cannot get home. "We are thankful that given what's happened that these are her only injuries however we would really like the person who hit her to get caught." She added: "The police are involved and still conducting enquiries but we are hoping can get more information with the power of Facebook. ‌ "We know the driver is white male, mid 50's to early 60's and wears glasses. We also know he came down Heathery Knowe from Livingstone Drive, so if you have a ring doorbell please can you check for any dark coloured cars passing by that area around that time. "Likewise if you were around that area at that time and seen anything please can you send any information, it may not seem important but may help us catch who done this. "I don't know what type of person leaves an old vulnerable, injured lady lying at the side of the road covered in blood even if he had stopped and helped fair enough accidents happen but it's vile that he has left her there and deserves to be caught." ‌ A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed: 'Around 9.15am on Friday, July 4, officers received a report of a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on Heathery Knowe, East Kilbride. 'An 81-year-old woman, the pedestrian, was taken to hospital. 'Enquiries are ongoing to trace the driver of the vehicle.' *Don't miss the latest headlines from around Lanarkshire. H&M takes drastic action at 3 major stores with staff to wear BODYCAMS in desperate bid to deter shoplifters

H&M is the latest major retailer to roll out bodycams for its staff THEFT FIGHT H&M takes drastic action at 3 major stores with staff to wear BODYCAMS in desperate bid to deter shoplifters H&M HAS taken drastic action in three major stores as staff are now fitted with bodycams in a desperate bid to deter shoplifters. The popular fashion store is the latest retailer to give its UK staff body cameras to help stop shoplifting and protect workers from attacks. The high street brand follows big names like Tesco, the Co-op, and Lidl, all of which have introduced bodycams for their staff. These major retailers said they were forced to take action because the police had failed to respond. Shoplifting rose by 20 per cent from last year, with violent and abusive incidents reported around 2,000 times daily. Advertisement Criminals - often in organised gangs - have been stealing goods in full view of staff and shoppers, knowing they're unlikely to face any consequences. High street retailers urge their staff not to intervene, fearing they could be attacked. Workers have faced racial and sexual insults, physical threats, spitting, and in some cases, physical violence. H&M will trial the new bodycams in stores in Edinburgh, Wood Green, and Beckton in London. Advertisement A spokesman for the firm said: "We're testing this new technology in a three-store pilot to assess what beneficial impact it may have, along with proper staff customer service training, on de-escalating and reducing incidents for the safety of both our colleagues and customers." The cameras will be worn on staff uniforms and will record distressing incidents to provide police with video evidence. Moment Co-op worker grabs fleeing shoplifter by the THROAT to stop him making off with arms full of stolen items Superdrug have also issued police-style bodycams and headsets to staff amid soaring levels of violence by shoplifting thugs. Abuse and attacks on shop workers rocketed 50 per cent from 870 to 1,300 incidents-a-day last year, according to a leading trade body. Advertisement Stores are resorting to desperate measures after the British Retail Consortium blasted 'woefully inadequate' government action to tackle the High Street 'crisis'. The consortium's survey also revealed shoplifting has more than doubled to 16.7 million incidents in the past year, up from eight million. They added: "The cost of theft has soared to almost £1 billion a year." A poll earlier this year found one in six staff workers were physically attacked by abusive customers. Advertisement It comes after Greggs armed staff with body cameras after a surge in thieving sausage roll scoffers and attacks. And shoplifting offences have gone past half a million in a year for the first time.

Drinkers tried to save man after he was stabbed to death outside Wetherspoons

Witnesses have described how 'hero' pub staff battled to save the life of a man fatally stabbed in east London. The victim, 26, was attacked opposite the King's Ford Wetherspoon in Chingford Mount at around 9pm on Sunday evening. Staff raced out of the pub with a defibrillator in an effort to save him, locals said. A restaurant worker who was passing just moments after the incident described the 'horrific' scenes as the victim lay dying. The witness, 28, told Metro: 'There was panic and distress. There were people from the pub with a defibrillator trying to save the man. There was a crowd forming of people from the pub I guess and then the police and ambulances showed up. The people from the pub were heroes. They did their best.' Another witness who had been in the pin told Metro: 'There was shouting outside and people including staff ran out. When it comes down time it people want to help. The bloke who died is a known face. He's a decent person, no bother.' A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: 'We were called at 9.11pm on Sunday 6 July to reports of a stabbing on Chingford Mount Road, E4. 'We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, paramedics in fast response cars, an advanced paramedic and an incident response officer. We also dispatched a trauma team in a car from London's Air Ambulance. 'Very sadly, despite the best efforts of our crews, a man was pronounced dead at the scene.' The man died at the scene and a manhunt by murder squad detectives is underway. More Trending A blue and white crime scene tent marks the spot where the man lay fatally injured. Forensics officers are trawling for clues and the road remains cordoned off. Detectives are collecting CCTV footage and carrying out door to door inquiries as part of the investigation.
