The victim, Mohammad Yameen, is said to be addicted to drugs which left his wife upset.
A disturbing case of violence has come to light from Uttar Pradesh's Pilibhit district where a man was brutally assaulted by members of his in-laws' family. The incident was captured on video which is now being widely circulated on social media. The footage shows the man lying on the ground and being beaten in an extremely violent manner with a belt. The act is being described as a 'Taliban-style" punishment due to the intensity and manner of the assault.
According to a report in Amar Ujala, the incident took place in Bara Mazlia village which falls under the jurisdiction of the Amaria police station. The victim has been identified as Mohammad Yameen.
In the video, a man dressed in clothing resembling that of a Maulana is seen repeatedly whipping Yameen with a belt as he lies on the ground. At one point, the same man is also seen pressing his foot forcefully on Yameen's throat which shows the brutality of the assault. Throughout the video, Yameen can be heard pleading with them to stop but no one steps in to help. The man continues to beat him mercilessly with the belt.
As the video continues, two more individuals appear at the scene. One of them approaches the main attacker and tries to ask for the belt. But the attacker refuses to hand it over and continues beating Yameen. At the same time, another man starts slapping Yameen multiple times.

One Among Five Arrested For Killing Gangster At Patna Hospital

Last Updated: One person, has been arrested in connection with the Bihar hospital murder case where Chandan Mishra was fatally shot. Police are conducting raids to arrest the remaining accused. One person has been arrested in connection with the Bihar hospital murder case, where five armed men entered Paras Hospital and fatally shot a patient who was receiving treatment. According to the police, the arrested accused has been identified as Tausif. The police have identified all the accused. Raids are being carried out at several locations to arrest the remaining accused, NDTV reported. The deceased was identified as Chandan Mishra, who was out on parole and was undergoing treatment at Paras HMRI hospital. CCTV cameras at the hospital showed the gangsters pulling out their guns, loading the weapons, opening the cabin's door and then escaping. Mishra had a criminal record with several murder cases against him. Police believe that a rival gang is behind the chilling attack. Commenting on the incident, Patna SSP Kartikeya K Sharma said, 'A criminal, named Chandan Mishra, a resident of Buxar district, against whom dozens of cases of murder are registered, was transferred from Buxar to Bhagalpur jail. Chandan was on parole and admitted to Paras Hospital for treatment. The rival gang shot him." Union Minister and NDA ally Chirag Paswan targeted the Nitish Kumar-led BJP-JDU government on Thursday over the killing of a criminal in a Patna hospital, saying that Bihar's law and order situation has become a cause for concern. In a post on X, Paswan said, 'Murders are happening every day. The morale of criminals is sky-high. The strategy of the police and administration is beyond comprehension. The attack inside Paras hospital in Patna's residential neighbourhood proves that criminals are openly challenging the law and administration." He said that the criminal incidents right before the Bihar Assembly polls are worrying. 'Hopefully, the administration will soon take firm steps to bring the law and order system back on track," the Union Minister added. view comments First Published: July 17, 2025, 21:36 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
