Scott Adams, Dilbert creator, reveals he has same cancer as Joe Biden: ‘My life expectancy is maybe this summer'
In an emotional and candid announcement, Adams told his viewers that his cancer has metastasised and that he may only have a few months left to live.
"I have the same cancer that Joe Biden has. I also have prostate cancer that has also spread to my bones," Adams said.
"My life expectancy is maybe this summer. I expect to be checking out from this domain sometime this summer."
Adams described the disease as debilitating and said he no longer experiences any good days.
"The disease is already intolerable. I can tell you that I don't have good days," he said.
"So if you are wondering, 'Hey Scott, do you have any good days'? Nope. Nope. Every day is a nightmare and evening is even worse."
Adams also spoke about the physical toll the illness has taken on him, noting that he's been relying on a walker and is in constant pain.
"I do have the ability to kind of get up for this part of the day, but I am in pain, and I'm always in pain," he explained.
"And the pain moves around to different parts of my body. I've been using a walker to walk for months now."
Adams' announcement follows news that Joe Biden, 81, was diagnosed with a high-grade form of prostate cancer, prompting renewed public attention on the disease and its impact. The shared diagnosis has added a somber tone to the national conversation about prostate cancer and late-stage detection.
Adams gained international recognition in the early 1990s with the launch of Dilbert, a satirical comic strip poking fun at office life, corporate bureaucracy, and tech culture. Debuting in 1989, Dilbert quickly became a staple in newspapers and online platforms, resonating with workers around the globe. At its peak, the strip was syndicated in over 2,000 publications and translated into dozens of languages.
In addition to his cartooning, Adams has authored numerous books, both humorous and philosophical, including The Dilbert Principle and How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big. His writing often blends self-help, management insights, and provocative opinions.
In recent years, Adams gained attention as a political commentator, particularly for his vocal support of former President Donald Trump. He frequently shares his views on politics, persuasion, media, and current events through his blog, YouTube livestream (Coffee with Scott Adams), and social media.
Former US President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer that has spread to his bones, his office confirmed in a statement released on May 18. The diagnosis was made following symptoms related to urinary issues, Reuters reported.
Despite the advanced stage of the cancer due to metastasis, Biden's medical team emphasised that the cancer is hormone-sensitive, which offers hope for effective treatment.
Biden and his family are currently reviewing treatment options in consultation with medical professionals. Joe Biden took to X, to thank the public for the "love and support" following the announcement of his prostate cancer diagnosis. In a statement released on Sunday, his office confirmed that the 82-year-old had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer that has spread to his bones. 'Cancer touches us all. Like so many of you, Jill and I have learned that we are strongest in the broken places. Thank you for lifting us up with love and support,' Joe Biden posted on X.
The health disclosure comes amid ongoing scrutiny of Biden's health throughout his presidency and during his brief 2024 reelection campaign. Speculation about his health circulated widely last year before Biden withdrew from the race, with then-Vice President Kamala Harris taking over as the Democratic candidate.
In February 2024, Biden's physician declared him 'fit to serve' following a physical examination at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

On this day, the processional idol of Baba Vishwanath will be adorned in a special form. Throughout the month of Shravan, the deity will be decorated in different forms every Monday, with special adornments planned for all four Mondays and the full moon day. Every Monday, devotees will have the unique experience of seeing Baba Vishwanath in diverse divine forms. To ensure that pilgrims can easily reach the temple for 'Jalabhishek' (ritual water offering), the Yogi Adityanath government has enhanced arrangements and strengthened security measures. On the first Monday of Shravan, devotees and Kanwariyas will be welcomed on a red carpet with floral showers. Thousands of Lord Shiva devotees are expected to gather for the Jalabhishek, while also getting the opportunity to witness the specially adorned processional idol of Baba Vishwanath. Vishwabhushan Mishra, the Chief Executive Officer of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust, shared that on the first Monday of Shravan, the processional idol of Lord Shiva will be specially decorated. Devotees will get the chance to see Baba Vishwanath in the form of Neelkanth, Mishra said. To manage large crowds inside the temple complex, zig-zag barricades have been set up, officials added. To protect visitors from rain, heat and sun, German hangars and extra sheds have been arranged. Glucose water, ORS solutions, and drinking water will be distributed at regular intervals for devotees, officials said. There will also be a counter for jaggery to help devotees stay energised, they added. A 'Lost and Found' centre with multilingual staff will assist visitors, they said. For health emergencies, five medical teams will be stationed at different spots within the Kashi Vishwanath Dham. There will be two ambulances, one of which will have advanced life support facilities ready for any urgent needs, officials added. The rituals inside the sanctum sanctorum will be broadcast live on LED screens installed in the Dham and at six locations, including the railway station, Godowlia crossing, and ghats. The darshan will also be available worldwide via YouTube live streaming, allowing devotees across the globe to see Baba Vishwanath during Shravan. Varanasi Police Commissioner Mohit Agrawal told that one lane of the Prayagraj-Varanasi road will be kept reserved for Kanwariyas. There will be 10 quick response tams on duty 24/7, he said. For security and crowd management, 200 CCTV cameras and eight dones will monitor the area, he added. Additionally, more than cycle patrol teams will keep a vigil on the roads, and around 1,500 police personnel will be deployed round the clock. Some police officers will also be on patrol in plain clothes to ensure safety.

How Pakistani Handlers Used A Popular Mobile Game To Target Rajasthan Man
Bhilwara, Rajasthan: Like thousands of youngsters in India, Mohammed Sohail Bhishti from Rajasthan's Bhilwara was also a big fan of online gaming. The 23-year-old began playing the popular Free Fire -- a battle royale-style survival shooter mobile game that allows players from around the globe to interact with each other. Over the next few months, Sohail came in contact with other players, and thus began his spiral towards extremism. Sohail was arrested in September last year, and the chargesheet filed by Rajasthan's Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has revealed details not just about Sohail but also foreign-linked online networks that are targeting Indians to spread their extremist ideologies. The ATS has formally presented its case in court, charging Sohail under Section 153A of the Indian Penal Code (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion) and Section 13 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), which pertains to advocating or inciting unlawful activity. The court is set to begin hearings in the case on July 16. Gateway To Radicalisation Sohail's engagement with the online gaming platform led him into encrypted chat groups, many of which had associations with radical networks allegedly operating from Pakistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh. According to the ATS, Sohail became a member of over 60 such online groups and acted as an administrator in several of them. These groups operated under the guise of gaming forums but, according to the ATS, were spreading anti-India propaganda. It was within these networks that Sohail began corresponding with individuals operating Pakistani phone numbers. The chargesheet names contacts saved in his phone as "Hameed Mustafa", "Mahboob Ali", and "PK Rawalpindi". Authorities believe these individuals are associated with digital cells operating from across the border. 'Mujahid Mian' The ATS alleges that Sohail, using the alias 'Mujahid Mian', ran a YouTube channel that promoted inflammatory content, including visuals of Taliban fighters and protest footage related to the Babri Masjid, Jama Masjid, and the 2022 Amravati riots. Several videos, recovered from his devices by forensic teams, were said to contain communally charged content. In addition to YouTube, Sohail was active on other platforms, including Instagram and X (formerly Twitter). The forensic report submitted by the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) on February 28 last year confirmed this. To mask his identity, Sohail is reported to have employed multiple mobile devices and SIM cards. He would activate a hotspot from one phone and use another to upload videos, ensuring his IP address was safe. Videos uploaded from one account were often 'liked' or 'boosted' using other accounts under his control, giving an artificial sense of reach and endorsement. According to the ATS, Sohail's radicalisation interacted with social media profiles claiming to be Pakistani women. The accounts used names suggestive of Islamic military ranks and referred to themselves as "commander" or "sister in arms". The conversations, conducted in English, reportedly included anti-India content. Sohail's Background Sohail lived in Shahpura, a semi-urban locality in Bhilwara district. His father works as a house painter. Sohail had studied till Class 12 in a government school and held a job at an auto parts shop with a monthly wage of Rs 8,000. His personal life was also on the cusp of change. He had become engaged to a woman from Madhya Pradesh, just 15 days before his arrest. There is no evidence so far to suggest that his immediate family or fiancee were aware of his online activities. Timeline of Inve stigation September 15, 2023: Sohail was arrested by ATS officers from his residence in Bhilwara following weeks of surveillance and digital monitoring. February 28, 2024: The Forensic Science Laboratory submitted its report detailing the contents of Sohail's mobile devices and digital footprint. March 11, 2024: The Rajasthan state government granted formal permission to prosecute Sohail under UAPA and IPC provisions, designating the case as sensitive. June 2, 2025: ATS submitted a detailed chargesheet to the Jaipur sessions court, comprising statements, forensic analysis, and digital evidence.
