Along with Siyabonga Gama, Brian Molefe is back in the news again, but they seem to have the support of many on X:
@Nhleiks5Ntante Brian Molefe's sin was to expose the corruption between Cyril Ramaphosa and Glencore during the 'imaginary state capture commission'
@Mngxitama2 Commanders Siyabonga Gama and Brian Molefe are undoubtedly amongst the best state institutions managers. But because they are black and not stooges of Stellenbosch they are hounded and criminalised. It's a political prosecution. They made it worse by associating with the MKP.
@Ngungunyane5 Criminal Brian Molefe and criminal Siyabonga Gama are appearing in the Palm Ridge Magistrate's Court to answer for their crimes. MKP is the gathering of criminals; their father Jacob Zuma will be appearing in a certain court soon.....
@verashni Finally!! Brian Molefe and Siyabonga Gama have been sitting pretty since state capture wrecked our country, now they're finally arrested. Please, God – and Shamila Batoyi – make the charges stick this time
.@XFactor079 The continued persecution of Brian Molefe by the NPA is saddening. For years he's been dragged to courts with an expected and eventual outcome of the cases being thrown out of court.
@ntsikimazwai I heard the most incredible stories about Brian Molefe.....did you know that when he was at eskom, he used to make sure his subordinates get paid more than him.... I love him so much after meeting him, he has SUCH a beautiful soul guys.
@velingobese_ZA Brian Molefe is intelligent, highly intelligent, if you are chairing a committee you just accept that and ask him to help you, instead they want to harass him and silence him coz he exposes lack of capacity, Batohi NPA continues to be a weapon in the hands of Ramaphosa.
@ApostleDeza MK Party Members of Parliament Siyabonga Gama and Brian Molefe, alongside Anoj Singh and Thamsanqa Jiyane have been granted bail. They're facing fraud and corruption charges in relation to the multi-million rand locomotives tender…R93 Million to be exact. Gwaza Mkhonto Gwaza!
@themankhosi Two best CEOs South Africa ever had Brian Molefe and Siyabonga Gama are appearing in court immediately after the ANC have exonerated Malusi Gigaba,Zizi Kodwa and Mahlobo. There political timing of ANC of Ramaphosa that simple demonstrate how weaponised our judiciary system is.
@PatriotMarc The arrest of Brian Molefe is raising eyebrows and sparking discussion. Despite any rumors, this has nothing to do with Transnet. Instead, it seems to stem from his proximity to Jacob Zuma and his courage to ask tough questions in Parliament. It appears that Cyril is wielding his presidential power to eliminate rivals, a move that invites scrutiny and debate. Why is he targeting those who dare to challenge his authority? The implications of this situation are worth watching closely.
@gndzongana Hands Off Brian Molefe and Siyabonga Gama. Instead, prioritise investigating apartheid-era murderers in the Western Cape, as well as those who are funding and supporting the killings in Black and Coloured communities. These actions aim to displace Black people from the Western Cape and transform the region into the 'Tel Aviv of Africa.'

Drugs seized from a residence in Goodwood. The Western Cape police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Malcolm Pojie, said the bust comes after an intelligence-driven operation in the area. 'At approximately 1.45pm, members attached to Operation Restore operationalised information which led them to a residence situated at Molteno Street in Goodwood where they initiated a search of the premises. During the search, the members discovered and seized 6kg of heroin, which was found in a cupboard in one of the rooms,' Pojie said. The heroin and tik seized during the raid at a home in Goodwood. Image: SAPS A 32-year-old Tanzanian national who was an occupant of the room was arrested and charged for dealing in heroin with an estimated street value go about R1 million. As police officers extended the search to another bedroom, they found more heroin. 'Officers found 100 grams of heroin with an estimated value of R16,000. This led to the arrest of a 28-year-old Burundi national for the possession of drugs,' Pojie said. He said the officers continued to search the home and came across more contraband. 'The members expanded the search, leading to the discovery of 145kg of tik and 16kg of heroin found in the roof of the residence. The estimated street value is R53.3 million, bringing the total value of the discovery to R54.3million,' Pojie said. He said the investigation in this matter is being conducted by the narcotics section located within the Provincial Organised Crime Unit detectives. IEC rejects former ANC MP Boy Mamabolo's ‘Mandela for President' party registration

The Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) has rejected former ANC MP Jacob Boy Mamabolo's registration of his new party 'Mandela for President'. The IEC said Mamabolo applied for registration but was rejected due to his failure to meet basic requirements to register a new party and concerns about the name. 'The IEC clarifies the party 'Mandela for President' applied for registration but was rejected for non-compliance with signature requirements and the threshold of required registered voters,' the IEC said. 'Furthermore, the name 'Mandela for President' with associated green and black colours may be construed by voters as connected to founding president Nelson Mandela.' The IEC highlighted inconsistencies with regard to the founding convener's details. 'Discrepancies exist between the party's constitutional documentation and our registration records regarding party leadership. In the preamble of their constitution the party proclaims their founding convener is Mandela Jacob Boy Mamabolo. However, in our registration records in respect of the party leader he appears as only Jacob Boy Mamabolo, which suggests a material aspect in the registration of the party may have been misrepresented. The party remains unregistered.'
