Jackson Wang manifested collaboration with Diljit Dosanjh after watching him perform at Coachella: ‘I slid in his DM'

Indian Express14-06-2025
After touring the world as part of Dil-Luminati tour, and becoming the first Punjabi singer to appear on The Tonight Show, Diljit Dosanjh is now set to appear in a song with K-Pop singer Jackson Wang. The two singers have collaborated for the song 'Buck,' which is going to be a part of Jackson's upcoming album Magic Man 2. With the album all set to release on July 18, Jackson is currently in India to promote it.
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Jackson recalled the first time he met the G.O.A.T singer. He said, 'The first time I encountered him was a few years ago. We performed at Coachella. His set was the last that closed out the Sahara tent, and my show was before that. And after my performance, I rush down. I looked. I watched his crazy set, and I was like, 'Oh my God, maybe one day, I will be blessed to have a collaboration with him.''
Jackson Wang manifested this collaboration for some time until he wrote the song 'Buck'. The singer said, 'I thought Diljit is gonna sound like fire on this song. I slid into his DM, and then I texted him.'

He added, 'I said, 'Hey champ. So this is the song that I created, If you like it, vibe with it. If you don't, it's all good.' He replied, 'Super.' He showed me a lot of love and support, and that's how the collaboration came together.'
In the same interview, Jackson Wang shared that he is a fan of Diljit Dosanjh's song 'Chauffeur,' a Punjabi track that blends elements of Punjabi music with rap. Diljit collaborated with Canadian singer Tory Lanez for the song.
Jackson Wang recently created curiosity among fans after pictures of him hanging out with Hrithik Roshan and his family surfaced online. Many speculated whether he will be seen in the actor's upcoming film Krrish 4.

This Squid Game 3 Spoiler Scandal Will Make You Rethink Your Insta Habits_What Park Gyu Young Just Confessed!

The Spoiler That Shook K-Drama Fandom So, imagine you're just chilling, scrolling through Insta, and suddenly-BAM!-your favorite K-drama star drops a major spoiler for the next season of the biggest Netflix show ever. That's exactly what happened when Park Gyu Young, who plays the complex character 'Noeul' in Squid Game Season 2, accidentally posted a huge spoiler for Season 3 on her personal account. The internet obviously went wild, and fans were left with a mix of excitement and disappointment. For those who live and breathe K-dramas (just like how we binge-watch every new series during exam season), this was the kind of drama no one asked for. Park Gyu Young's role became even more relatable-her character's only goal is to find her daughter in the North, but now the actress herself was caught in a real-life game of "Oops, did I just do that?" She admitted she'd made a mistake and said, "I think I showed a bad side of myself for a few months, and I'm sure fans were disappointed." She explained that after the spoiler incident, she immediately reached out to the director and her co-star Lee Jin Wook to apologize. The director told her, "Let's make sure this never happens again," while Lee Jin Wook, being the chill senior, even joked that all the attention was kind of fun. But Park Gyu Young didn't just stop at apologies. She talked about how the whole thing made her reflect deeply on her sense of responsibility as an actress. She said, "Even though I was forgiven, I spent a long time thinking about whether I was mature enough and responsible enough for my work." She also sent a heartfelt apology to fans, saying she was sorry for making them guess the story ahead of time because of her slip-up. When Social Media Gets Too Real Let's be honest-who hasn't posted something on social media and instantly regretted it? Whether it's a meme that didn't land or a rant about college life, we've all been there. But when you're a public figure with millions of fans, the stakes are way higher. Park Gyu Young's experience is a reminder that even celebs can get caught up in the moment and make mistakes online. In a world where spoilers can ruin the fun for everyone, her story is a wake-up call for all of us: Think before you post, especially when your actions can affect not just you but an entire fandom. And if you do mess up? Own it, apologize, and learn from it-because that's what real growth looks like, whether you're a K-drama star or just another student hustling through life. It's All About the Feels Reading Park Gyu Young's honest confession feels oddly familiar. In Indian culture, saying sorry and reflecting on your mistakes is a big deal-just like how we apologize to our parents after sneaking out for a late-night chai. Her story isn't just about spoilers or K-dramas; it's about how everyone, no matter how famous, can slip up and still find a way to make things right. As fans, we love our stars not just for their roles, but for being real humans who learn, grow, and sometimes mess up-just like us. P.S. Next time you're about to spill some major tea on your feed, remember Park Gyu Young and maybe... just maybe... think twice!

Squid Game's Wild American Remake_If It Happens, DiCaprio Might Be the Main Guy!

The Squid Game Craze Isn't Over-Now Hollywood Wants In Just when you thought Squid Game fever had finally cooled down, director Hwang Dong-hyuk has thrown gasoline on the fire. In a recent chat, he said that if a US remake of Squid Game ever gets the green light, he'd want none other than Leonardo DiCaprio as the lead! Yeah, you read that right-Jack from Titanic playing the most desperate contestant in a deadly game. Imagine the memes, the Oscar buzz, and the absolute chaos on social media if this actually happens. For Indian youth who grew up watching both K-dramas and Hollywood blockbusters, this is like your two favorite worlds colliding. It's the kind of crossover you'd expect in a Marvel movie, not in a gritty survival drama. Why DiCaprio? And Is This Actually Happening? by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Beachfront Living in Mumbai at Sunteck Beach Residences Sunteck Realty Learn More Undo So, why DiCaprio? Hwang Dong-hyuk didn't just pull his name out of a hat. The director has previously mentioned that DiCaprio is a fan of Squid Game, and there's been playful talk about maybe reaching out to him for future projects. But here's the twist-there's no official American Squid Game in the works yet. Netflix is reportedly working with David Fincher (yes, the Fight Club guy!) on a US spin-off, but nothing has been confirmed about casting or even if the show will keep the Squid Game name. There's some drama behind the scenes, too. Fincher apparently wants to change the title to something more familiar for American audiences, while Netflix wants to stick with the global brand. So, the whole project is kind of in limbo right now. But if it does move forward, DiCaprio's name is definitely in the mix, at least in the director's dream casting list. What Would a US Squid Game Even Look Like? Let's be real-if Squid Game gets the Hollywood treatment, it's going to be wild. Imagine the games: instead of Ddakji or Red Light, Green Light, maybe we'd get dodgeball or musical chairs, but with a deadly twist. And the prize money? If the original was 45.6 billion KRW (about ₹275 crore), you can bet the US version would crank it up even more, maybe throwing in a Tesla or a beach house in Malibu for good measure. For Indian viewers, this is a bit like when Bollywood remakes a South Indian hit-you're excited, but also a little nervous about what they'll change. Will it keep the raw, brutal edge of the original, or will it get all glossy and lose its bite? And will DiCaprio pull off the desperate, everyman vibe that Lee Jung-jae nailed? Only time will tell. The Fandom Is Already Losing Its Mind The idea of DiCaprio in Squid Game has already set the internet on fire. Some fans are hyped, others are skeptical. But everyone agrees-it would be a massive pop culture moment. For young people who grew up idolizing both Korean and Western stars, this is the kind of news that makes you want to binge-watch the original all over again, just to imagine how it could look with a Hollywood twist. And honestly, isn't that what makes global pop culture so fun? Seeing your favorite stories get reimagined, remixed, and sometimes totally reinvented for new audiences. What's wild is how much this mirrors the way Indian cinema borrows and adapts global hits, making them our own with a desi flavor. Whether it's a remake or a spin-off, the excitement is all about seeing something familiar through a totally new lens. Here's hoping if DiCaprio does join the Squid Game universe, he brings the same intensity and chaos we love in both K-dramas and Hollywood blockbusters. PS: If this ever happens, someone needs to cast Shah Rukh Khan as the VIP guest. Just saying.
