Thailand Printmaking Festival comes to Bangkok this July
Running July 4-15, from 4pm-10pm daily at Central Chidlom's Event Hall, the festival returns under the quietly radical theme: 'Printing is everywhere.' The premise is simple – print doesn't belong on a pedestal. It lives in our wardrobes, bookshelves, shopping bags, tote bags, Instagram feeds and street corners. It's daily, it's democratic and it's deliciously DIY.
Organised by GroundControl and PPP Studio, this year's edition pulls Bangkok into the fold after its last showing in Chiang Mai's Dream Graff Gallery (2022). With a broader scope and louder presence, the 2025 festival aims not just to show but to 'share' – a communal invitation to press, smudge and roll ink across our daily lives.
What's new to look forward to this year? In addition to a wide range of artworks – from statement pieces to pocket-sized prints – the festival presents a special exhibition uniting 10 artists with 10 distinctive print studios. Each duo brings a unique method to the mix. Weekend workshops will also be held throughout, inviting visitors to create their own prints with ease. More than just a market of towering prints and pocket-sized treasures, the festival also includes:

10 artists, 10 studios, zero rules. Think of it as speed dating with ink. Each pair has co-created pieces that blur the line between studio precision and raw, individual style. Print workshops
Every weekend, the Event Hall turns into a mini factory of trial and error. Expect ink-stained fingers, good-natured swearing and something frame-worthy to take home.

Watch as jaturun.work brings fish printing (Gyotaku) to life, proving once again that dead things can be strangely beautiful. Then head over to Hello My Name is BKK for a dose of urban wheatpaste rebellion.
Interactive: Rubbing art
A five-metre stretch of textured surfaces begs to be felt, traced and transformed. Pencils, crayons, charcoal – no digital tools in sight.

He bought equipment for the drugs lab in Henley-in-Arden, Warks, which was smashed by the National Crime Agency. It was said to be capable of producing 400kg of amphetamine — with an estimated street value of £10millon — every month. Emmerdale's Lucy Pargeter splits from long-term boyfriend Rudi Coleano Gang members had chemistry training in order to run the operation and the drugs were distributed in London, Kent and the West Midlands. Another gang member got 18 years after admitting drug and money laundering offences. Others were found guilty at trial. Lucy, who came third on I'm A Celebrity in 2013, has told previously that she had breast implants removed as they hampered her breathing. Another 'parent managed account' in Dominic's name has links to channel HBO and streaming platform Stream On MAX. Alex Dowal, of the Cyber and Fraud Centre Scotland, warned most social media operators are struggling to take down fake profiles. He said: 'It's not actually a crime to set up a profile in someone's name. 'It goes against the terms and conditions of Facebook and Instagram. Unfortunately, the scale of policing that is virtually non-existent. 'It becomes a crime if you are seeking to benefit from pretending to be someone else. 'It probably wouldn't take long before some fake endorsements using his profile come out. That would consitute fraud.' We told how the cast were revealed by Warner Bros last month with film bosses pledging a 'faithful adaptation' of the books by author and executive producer J.K. Rowling. Earlier this week, the writer said she had read the first two episodes, adding: 'They are so, so, so good.' A spokeswoman for Warner Bros Discovery said: 'We won't be commenting at this time.'

Jessie J went into 'survival mode' after cancer diagnosis as she shares regret
Singer Jessie J is continuing to share thoughtful reflections on her recent breast cancer surgery as she updates fans amid her recovery from the procedure Singer Jessie J has shared an emotional update as she continues to recover from breast cancer surgery. The Price Tag singer announced in June that she had been diagnosed with early breast cancer and that she would be undergoing treatment. The artist, whose real name is Jessica Cornish, and her partner Chanan Safir Colman, had a son, Sky Safir Cornish Colman, in May 2023. In a message to fans shortly after having her operation, the former Voice UK judge admitted she was missing being "an active mum/human." On Saturday, Jessie took to her Instagram Stories to reflect on her diagnosis two weeks on from surgery. "2 weeks post surgery. Had my drain out 2 nights ago. She said breathe in and take a hard breathe out. She whipped that thang out so quick. Woii oii. Weirdest feeling. But so nice to have it out after 12 days," she wrote. "Now it's just me and my wonky boobs trying to figure out how to dress until I match them up. The left one is looking at me like 'you ok babe?' Also my experience was when I was diagnosed I went into survival mode. 'There was so much going on with appointments and in my mind esp with a toddler I had just moved and was about to start this campaign after 8 years away. Mad. "I didn't really have a lot of time to process what was happening or what was going to happen. So I'm currently experiencing some delayed sadness and frustration by having time to process what IS happening." Jessie continued: "A little disappointed in myself I didn't say goodbye to my old boob enough. Sounds silly but that's where I'm at. Again that's my journey. I'm sure others feel different. "But for me I didn't think beyond the surgery. I was just being strong. Well now I'm here and letting myself be angry and sad and all the things. Just for a few days. Then I will sew some padding in a bra to even them out order some t-shirts and crack tf on." Last month, the mum-of-one revealed she had stopped taking pain medication, saying it is "just not my thing". A social media update from the star featured a picture of Jessie's wound drain, a tube which helps remove excess fluid or blood that can accumulate after surgery. She asked her followers: "Anyone else who has had this, did you feel like you are walking around one of those dog / duck toys. I carry mine on the floor when I'm home so the gravity can help the drain. Hoping it's out by the end of the week." The artist has battled with ill health throughout her life, having been diagnosed with a heart condition aged eight, suffering a minor stroke aged 18 and having briefly gone deaf in 2020. The Domino singer said she is "feeling positive and grateful", and asked fans not to worry if she "seems a little out of it" in public. "If you do see me out, sitting in a park or coming out of a doctor's appointment or eating or walking or anything, and I seem a little out of it. I am," Jessie said. "It's not personal. I don't have what I usually have to give energy wise, understandably. I will get there. It's a slow road."
