Megastar
Chiranjeevi
will be in the much-awaited socio-fantasy entertainer 'Vishwambhara', which is touted to be a visual delight with the film heavily relying on high-quality VFX shots.
According to a report by IANS, the upcoming film will include an unprecedented number of VFX shots, making it one of the most visually ambitious projects in recent times.
Currently in the final stages of post-production, 'Vishwambhara' is being described as a visual extravaganza. The makers have roped in top-tier VFX studios from across Tollywood, Bollywood, and even Hollywood to bring director Vassishta's grand vision to life. These teams are reportedly working to deliver world-class visual effects that can rival any international production.
The report also suggests that the film is being treated as a magnum opus, with no compromise on quality or scale.
The film's socio-fantasy backdrop gives ample scope for imaginative world-building, and the VFX-heavy treatment is expected to fully immerse viewers in this richly created universe. Chiranjeevi, who leads the ensemble cast, is said to be thrilled with how the film is shaping up in post-production.
Earlier during the film's teaser release, 'Vishwambhara' faced backlash after its visuals were revealed to be AI-generated, not CGI.
Producer Malladi Satyanarayana Reddy, while speaking with TeluguOne, admitted that due to the time constraints, the team had to use last-minute AI; however, he mentioned these won't appear in the final cut.
The film also features
Trisha Krishnan
and Ashika Ranganath in key roles, with actor
Kunal Kapoor
playing a significant part in the story.
The film has music composed by Oscar-winner MM Keeravani.
The film is now undergoing proper CGI work, with a rescheduled release expected in summer 2026.

‘Kuberaa' box office collections day 13: Dhanush starrer collects Rs 83.55 crores

(Picture Courtesy: Facebook) Dhanush's high-octane action drama 'Kuberaa' is approaching the end of its theatrical journey. The film, which opened to strong numbers and saw a solid first-week run, has slowed down significantly in its second week. On Day 13 (Wednesday), the film earned around Rs 80 lakhs across all languages, as per early estimates reported by Sacnilk. This takes the total India net collection to Rs 83.55 crore. Stellar opening, but a predictable dip 'Kuberaa' opened with a bang, collecting Rs 14.75 crore on Day 1, and gained more momentum through the weekend with Rs 16.5 crore on Saturday and Rs 17.35 crore on Sunday. Dhanush Touches Chiranjeevi's Feet, Hugs Rashmika and Nagarjuna at Kuberaa Success Meet However, the film faced the usual weekday slump. The collections dropped to Rs 6.8 crore by Monday. The film continued to slide through the week. Despite a brief boost over the second weekend, the trend since Day 11 shows a steep decline. Occupancy numbers Occupancy rates on Wednesday (Day 13) were modest. In the Telugu market, where the film performed strongest as 'Kuberaa' registered a 13.09% occupancy. It had peak attendance during evening shows (14.32%). The Tamil version showed a slightly lower 10.99% overall occupancy, with a noticeable dip in the evening segment at just under 9%. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch vàng CFDs với sàn môi giới tin cậy IC Markets Tìm hiểu thêm Undo Impressive cast, our verdict 'Kuberaa' featured Dhanush, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Rashmika Mandanna, Jim Sarbh, and Dalip Tahil. ETimes review for the film reads, "Where Kuberaa falters is in its pacing. The first half takes its time to build the world—perhaps a little too slowly. The film could have benefited from a tighter edit. Still, it holds attention with its moody storytelling, evocative visuals, stirring score, and relevant themes that explore the price of survival and ambition. Kuberaa is not your usual commercial potboiler—and that's precisely what makes it worth a watch. It's a brooding, introspective take on wealth and morality. It's not flawless, but it's a bold leap from a filmmaker unafraid to reinvent his canvas."

Renuka Shahane On Bollywood's ‘Entourage Obsession': 'It's A Matter Of Comfort'

Last Updated: Renuka Shahane talks about the film industry's shift from the 1990s to today, noting higher costs and larger entourages. Her third film, Loop Line, screened at the 2025 NYIFF. Veteran actress and filmmaker Renuka Shahane has opened up about the stark difference in how the film industry operates today compared to the 1990s. Reflecting on the rising cost of actors and the large teams that accompany them, the 'Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!' actress pointed out how stars in the 90s managed their careers without elaborate entourages. She believes the culture has shifted significantly, with today's actors relying on multiple managers, stylists, and social media teams—adding to the overall production cost. Renuka told IANS, 'I think the culture has changed because there are so many mediums and media today to kind of explore yourself as an actor. So, if you are a huge star, for instance, then there are people who are managing your social media. There are people who are separately managing your social media ads, separately managing your proper TVC ads. Then there are others who are managing your costumes and, you know, that kind of collaboration." 'And that's why, you know, there's a division of labor. Therefore, there are that many people. And those many people can only exist if it's commercially viable for the people paying." Renuka went on to explain, 'So, it's not as if one fine day the star gets up and says, Oh, I need ten people instead of one. If there are ten people with the star and if the producer has, you know, feels that it is important that the star feels comfortable and I'm willing to pay that much for the star's entourage, then they'll invest in it or they'll compromise and say that, Listen, we can only handle five people on the set, not more than five. So, I think that, you know, it's not something that someone is doing it forcefully." 'If you can afford it, then they are doing it. Those who can't afford it—if you can't afford it, the star might put their foot down and say, Listen, I'd rather not do your project because I need my staff with me. Or they'll say, Okay, I'll compromise for this project, or I'll do it." 'You know, so I think that one should judge people that, oh, such a big entourage used to manage before. There weren't so many avenues that used the star, you know, in terms of the commercial prospects. So, I feel that one should also be more kind. You know, we generally judge that they have a lot. So, we are quick to judge. But I think that it's a matter of comfort," the actress further mentioned. Work-wise, Renuka Shahane's third directorial venture, a Marathi animated short titled 'Loop Line," was screened at the 2025 New York Indian Film Festival on June 21. The film explored the emotional neglect and silent battles faced by Indian housewives trapped in traditional, patriarchal households.

Harsh Gujral Reveals What He Would Do If His Partner Cheats On Him: 'I Will Slap...'

Last Updated: Comedian Harsh Gujral was recently also seen in Karan Johar's show, The Traitors. Comedian turned actor Harsh Gujral collaborated with Chitranshi Dhyani for a quirky new track, 'Cheater". During an exclusive interaction with IANS, Gujral talked about his reaction if he ever found his partner cheating on him. When asked, 'If your partner cheats on you, what would your first reaction be? A slap or a cold breakup?" he told IANS, " I'd slap myself and break up. Why slap her? Someone who cheats might slap too!" However, Dhayani will opt for a different approach. 'I give silent treatment. I go completely quiet. No anger, no shouting. The other person doesn't even realise what's wrong—that's why I've never had a relationship!" she revealed. To this, Gujral added, 'That's true! My version of the silent treatment is humorous. People leave my life laughing." Gujral further revealed what would he do in case his ex ever wishes to come back. 'I'd say, 'Bring another one along—we'll be four and play carrom!," the comedian shared laughing. Asked to choose between love and loyalty, he went for both saying, 'If there's loyalty, love follows. If there's love, loyalty follows. If neither is there, it's a mess." Spilling the beans on how he came on board the song, the 'Mere Husband Ki Biwi' actor stated, 'So, I was doing my stand-up show—stand-up comedy has become my life now, it gives me everything. She came to watch the show, and we had a quick interaction and a bit of fun roasting each other. Then she contacted me again later. The song was already ready. I liked its vibe immediately. I thought, if even I can dance to it, anyone can! So, I said yes right away. We shot it in fifteen days, edited it, and it was done!" Talking about why people might find the track relatable, Gujral shared, 'Gen Z especially. They don't take cheating seriously—it's the dating app era now! We're old now. But this song works for everyone: Gen Z, millennials, even older people." 'Cheater" was released on June 29 this year. First Published:
