A467: Major Newbridge road to close for overnight repairs
The A467 in Newbridge will be shut between its junctions with Central Avenue and the traffic lights at Axiom Manufacturing.
It will be shut from 8pm to 6am every day from June 30 until September 15.
An 18-tonne weight restriction will also be temporarily suspended on Kendon Road between its junction with Parkway and Main Street, Crumlin.
This is to allow bridge refurbishment works to take place, Caerphilly County Borough Council has confirmed.
An alternative route will be in place via the A4048, B4251, and the A467.
However, the council has confirmed that access for emergency services, residents, and pedestrians will not be maintained.
A spokesperson said: "The order is required by Caerphilly County Borough Council.
"The reason for making the order is to allow for bridge refurbishment.
"Notice is hereby given that Caerphilly County Borough Council in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) intends in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an order, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the A467 Newbridge between its junctions with Central Avenue and the traffic signalised junction at Axiom manufacturers; and temporarily suspend the 18T weight restriction on B4251 Kendon Road between its junction with Parkway and Main Street, Crumlin."

Three day road closure planned in Monmouthshire this week
Pant Coedprior in Llanellen will be shut from its junction with Pen-Y-Gawsai for approximately 200 metres. The works, necessary for poling, are scheduled to start on July 2 and are expected to finish by July 4. The closure will be in place from 9am to 5pm each day. Monmouthshire County Council has stated that the closure is necessary to ensure the works are carried out safely. The council has assured residents that reasonable access will be maintained for properties fronting the affected lengths of road during the closure period. A signed diversionary route will be in place for drivers during the closure. The route will guide traffic along Pant Coedprior, Tredystain, and the R50 from Blaenavon to Llanellen and vice versa. The temporary traffic regulation notice, made under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, will remain in force for a maximum of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is sooner. The council has warned that any person contravening the order will be committing an offence under Section 16(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The notice was signed off by Carl Touhig, head of neighbourhood services at Monmouthshire County Council, on June 25. For more information on road closures and traffic notices in the area, residents are advised to keep an eye on the council's official website and social media channels.
