Chance meeting leads to successful charity concert
Pembroke Farmers' Club member Ed Morris, a baritone with Pembroke and District Male Voice, initiated this connection.
He met a member of Tredagh Singers from Drogheda, a sister of Ed's neighbour, at the competition.
18 months later, the Tredagh Singers joined with the Narberth-based Serendipity Choir and Pembroke choristers at Tenby.
The well-supported concert raised more than £3,000 for Prostate Cymru and Pancreatic Cancer UK charities.
Each choir was applauded for their individual performances before joining for a finale of 'Calon Lan' and 'You'll Never Walk Alone'.
The MC was Brian Harries, chairman of the Pembrokeshire Friends of Prostate Cymru.
Juliet Rossiter, the musical director of both Pembrokeshire choirs, conducted 14 individual pieces.
The accompanists were Heather Williams (Serendipity) and William Lambert (Pembroke).
Gifts were exchanged, with Tredagh chairman Vincent Moore presenting a framed score of 'Calon Lan' and a bottle of local whiskey.
In return, Pembroke chairman Huw Morgan gave a print of Barafundle, one of the county's well-known beaches.
Both local choirs hope to continue their connection with the Tredagh Singers in the future, both in Wales and Ireland.

'Bare feet should be banned' says disgusted flight attendant who found pile of toenail clippings under seat
A Connecticut flight attendant who shares her life on social media has revealed one of the most disgusting things she's seen during her service - a pile of toenail clippings. Photographing the unsightly mess underneath an aircraft seat, Leanna Coy wrote: 'On today's episode of Summer are toenails. A passenger clipped their toenails midflight and left them.' The TikToker (@leannacoy) added: 'If I become president one day I'm making bare feet illegal.' The upload attracted more than 10,000 views and many TikTok users chimed in to share their thoughts in the comments. One quipped: 'OH MY GOD NO YOURE JOKING.' 'Now why would you show me that??' another added, followed by crying face emojis. Someone else agreed with Leanna and joked: 'Straight to jail!' 'The poor people sitting next to them,' one person said. Another flight attendant shared two forms of common passenger behavior that 'send her over the edge.' Dallas-based air hostess Cher Killough, who has worked in the industry for six years, took to TikTo k to highlight disruptive in-flight habits that often leave her 'clenching' her jaw. Sharing a video to her page, @cherdallas, the cabin crew membert noted she becomes frustrated when a passenger ignores crucial safety instructions because a previous flight attendant either turned a blind eye or allowed them to do so. She added: 'Well, the last flight attendant wasn't doing her job. I have to subtly argue and just explain the reason - which normally I'm fine with doing - but if I'm already having a long day, this will have me in the galley begging God for some strength.' Cher then revealed her second in-flight gripe: passengers who continue to 'pop open' the bins after she informed them 'several times' they are full and cannot be used. She explained: 'When the bins are full and I've closed it, somebody pops it open after I've said: "If it's closed, it's full," like seven times... they pop it open and they leave it open.'

The Adventures of the Little People Group, run by Hilltown-based charity Front Lounge, designed vinyl prints for Front Lounge's five windows. Adventures of the Little People is Front Lounge's after-school club attended by primary school children aged between five and twelve. The group enjoys games and a hot meal provided by resident chef Charley Griffin. Louise Kirby Louise, who has transformed many local public spaces through art, said: 'We worked around the charity's themes of aspiration and hope, from what adventures they'd love to go on to what they'd like to do when they're older. It was lovely to see them all collaborating and having fun with their ideas. 'We then used different techniques to engage them, from painting and mark-making to mood boards and looking at shapes, but all driven by their interests and imaginations, whether it's space, palm trees, racing cars or lions! "For those who couldn't attend in person, we got them involved through worksheets to enjoy at home. It was amazing to see their imaginations come to life. In the process, we've transformed a patch of the Hilltown for the wider community to enjoy.' Having local children support the transformation with vibrant colour has been significant, instilling a deep sense of pride in everyone who uses the space. Louise Kirby (far left), Charley Griffin and daughters, Chika Inatimi and Christie Wanless "It now mirrors the energy and spirit of Front Lounge, and marks a bold step forward as we evolve into a dedicated learning centre. Most importantly, this transformation has changed how the wider community sees and engages with the building, helping to make Hilltown a more vibrant place to live, work, and connect." Front Lounge Development Worker and mum-of-two Amy Deans added: 'Too many children are missing out on the social aspects of life. Some families can't afford to send their children to activities and clubs, while others might feel anxious and lack confidence. 'We know through many other projects we run that isolation can lead to poor mental health so we wanted to do something to offset this before these children get any older. As we often do at Front Lounge, we turned to creativity, which has an amazing power to change lives and build confidence. The charity's motto is Life is Big: Be All You Can Be, and that thinking has come through loud and clear on our new windows!'
