McDonald's adding five items to menu including 'iconic' Big Arch burger
McDonald's has announced five new items will be added to its menu from next week - including the Big Arch burger, which is finally making its UK debut.
The burger, which has been on sale before in Canada, Portugal and Germany, is made with two British and Irish beef patties, topped with white cheddar cheese slices, crispy onions, fresh onions, shredded lettuce, crunchy pickles, and smothered in signature Big Arch sauce.
It'll join the McDonald's UK menu on June 18, with the burger on its own priced at £7.99, or £9.99 for a medium meal with a side and drink. Thomas O'Neill, Head of Menu at McDonald's UK&I, said: 'A new iconic burger needs an equally iconic sauce, and we've taken it up a notch with the Big Arch. This isn't just about size, it's about flavour.
'With double layers of beef, crispy onions, and the hero of the build, our signature sauce, every bite is crafted to hit the spot to satisfy serious McDonald's hunger. Big, bold, and packed with serious deliciousness.'
If you're craving a comeback, the Cheesy McCrispy and Halloumi Fries will also be returning on June 18. The Cheesy McCrispy features a chicken breast fillet in a crispy coating, served with lettuce, crispy onions, pink pickled onion chutney, bacon, Emmental cheese, and deluxe cheese sauce.
Meanwhile, the Halloumi Fries are golden sticks of Halloumi cheese in a light batter coating, served with Sweet Chilli Dip. For pudding, the much-loved Toffee and Apple Pie is also returning, alongside the Toffee Crisp McFlurry.
The Toffee and Apple Pie features a crispy pastry filled with toffee flavour, while the Toffee Crisp McFlurry is made of soft dairy ice cream swirled with Toffee Crisp pieces, topped with toffee sauce.
But of course, a new menu shake-up does mean that some items will be leaving McDonald's next week. This includes the McSpicy x Frank's RedHot, Steakhouse Stack, Cheesy Garlic Bread Dippers and Lotus Biscoff McFlurry.
The McSpicy X Frank's RedHot contains a chicken breast in a hot and crispy coating, topped with lettuce, cheese made with Emmental, jalapenos, slivered onions, and Frank's RedHot Mayo.
The Steakhouse Stack consists of two beef patties, topped with cheddar cheese, crispy onions, red onions, and fresh lettuce, all drizzled with a savoury black peppercorn sauce.
Meanwhile, the Biscoff McFlurry features a Biscoff biscuit crumb swirled into soft serve ice cream, and the Cheesy Garlic Bread Dippers are made up mozzarella cheese flavoured with garlic and chives, in a ciabatta-style breadcrumb coating, served with rich tomato dip.

Alexander Isak makes Newcastle decision after Liverpool's £150m transfer offer is rejected
Liverpool are still interested in signing Alexander Isak from Newcastle but have seen a £120m offer rejected by the Magpies, with the player's future uncertain after training alone in Spain Newcastle 's wantaway star Alexander Isak is set to return to the club's training ground amid Liverpool 's bid to sign the Sweden striker, reports claim. Isak has been training alone at the training facilities of old club Real Sociedad after informing Newcastle he wants to consider he options this summer. The 25-year-old has not joined Newcastle on their pre-season tour of Asia amid the uncertainty around his future, with manager Eddie Howe admitting the situation was not in his control. Liverpool have already had a £120m bid rejected by Newcastle, who value the player at closer to £150m and are in no rush to sell him given that he has three years left on his contract at St James' Park. According to the Athletic, Isak is now set to travel back to the UK after a brief period of training at Sociedad's Zubieta base, which he has been using when they are empty rather than training alongside his former team-mates. He will not be linking up with the rest of his Newcastle team-mates and Howe and Co prepare for a friendly clash against Tottenham on Sunday, before two more friendlies against Espanyol and Atletico Madrid. The report claims Liverpool are not planning to submit a second offer for Isak after their initial "take it or leave it" bid, but remain interested in the player. The Reds have already spent nearly £300m on a host of high-profile signings, including £116.5m on Florian Wirtz - which was a British transfer record - £79m on forward Hugo Ekitike, £50m on left-back Milos Kerkez and £29m on right-back Jeremie Frimpong. Adding Isak to their squad would force them to smash another transfer record but as things stand the move looks to be difficult to pull off. Liverpool have managed to balance the books by selling Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid for £10m and Luis Diaz to Bayern for £63m, while Darwin Nunez is reportedly in talks to join Al-Hilal. Newcastle boss Howe said he was in the dark over Isak's future but was hopeful the club could still hang onto their talisman. 'I really don't know what is going to happen next, but from our perspective, we still support Alex in every way, and my wish is still that we see him in a Newcastle shirt again,' he said. It features a detachable crossbody strap, so you can wear it hands-free while on the go. Plus, the RI monogram print is paired with a bold lipstick kiss motif, nodding directly to the glam look that made Coach 's Tabby bag (now sold out) a TikTok favourite. Alternatively, Fraser is selling the Dune London Dorrie Handbag for £60 instead of its original price of £85 in the summer sale. Over at Next, the Cream Canvas Hand Held Bag for £28 is perfect for any holiday collection. Back to the River Island bag, a diamante-embellished lips keyring adds a hint of personality, while the size is compact enough for day-to-night styling, but still spacious enough to fit a phone, keys, makeup and anything else needed. Speaking about her collaboration with the brand, Morgan said: "I was really excited to work with River Island because I grew up wearing the brand. It felt like such a full-circle moment - combining my personal style and artistic eye for luxury bespoke personalisation, but making something more accessible to the wider audience." "I've spent years hand-painting one of a kind bespoke designs for private clients, so the idea of creating something that could reach a wider audience, whilst still holding that sense of charm, artistry, and individuality, really appealed to me." For under £50, the River Island cross body seems to be an easy and accessible way to build up a capsule wardrobe and tap into one of 2025's biggest accessories trends without breaking the bank.
