are reportedly in plans to replace it with another PLE.
WWE produces its premier event, WrestleMania, each year following the end of their yearly season.
For many years, the company has been announcing the show's location a year in advance to build hype for the Show of Shows throughout the entire calendar year.
WWE did the same this year, however, it seems that those plans have changed and the Stamford-based promotion might be replacing it with another top event.

Before WrestleMania 41, The Rock made his return to WWE television programming on SmackDown to announce WrestleMania 42's location.
The Final Boss revealed that the mega show will be held at the Mercedes SuperDome in New Orleans, which has previously hosted WrestleMania 30 and 34. However, new reports hint that the city might no longer play host to WrestleMania.
According to WrestleVotes, many people within WWE are under the belief that WrestleMania 42 will no longer be hosted in New Orleans. They stated, "There is a report surfacing online regarding WrestleMania 42 no longer taking place in New Orleans.

Moreover, PWInsider also reported that WWE is now looking for alternate locations outside USA to host the 42nd edition of WrestleMania. This could be a highly interesting move that would garner major attention from fans.
This has been the first instance reported that a WrestleMania location might be changed following an official announcement. While nothing has been confirmed at the moment, all signs are pointing to WWE having gone with the decision to change the city and location for The Showcase of the Immortals. So it will be interesting to see what pans out eventually and if New Orleans indeed won't be hosting WrestleMania 42 next year.
