Attorney general, EU officials seek closer coordination on transnational crime
Libya's Attorney General, Al-Siddiq Al-Sour, held talks on Wednesday in Tripoli with the head of the European Union Delegation to Libya, the commander of the EU naval mission Operation IRINI, and his deputy Also present were advisers from the European External Action Service's Department of Partnership and Cooperation According to a statement from the Office of the Attorney General, the meeting focused on reviewing the mandate and objectives of Operation IRINI, with an emphasis on building effective cooperation between Libyan authorities and the EU Key areas of discussion included the prevention of fuel smuggling, arms and drug trafficking, human trafficking, and environmental crimes.
