PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WMBB) – The Panama City Police Department and Springfield Police Department responded to the area of Bambi's Dollhouse regarding gunshots being heard on Saturday.
Officers responded at about 2:45 a.m. However, they confirmed no injured parties were located.
Officers said they found several vehicles had been struck by gunfire.
Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified and interviewed witnesses, located surveillance footage, and collected evidence to determine the facts of the case.
Investigators said they learned 25-year-old Chrishaun Dozier and 26-year-old Zacchaeus Lyles became involved in a dispute inside Bambi's Dollhouse before being escorted out by staff.
Once outside, officials said the dispute continued to escalate with firearms being displayed and verbal threats made.

According to a news release, Dozier entered a blue Ford F-150 and, before leaving the area, pointed a firearm at Lyles. As the truck drove off with Dozier inside and no longer posing an immediate threat to him, Lyles fired approximately seven rounds from a 9mm handgun.
The F-150 then changed directions, circling the block, and came back towards Lyles, with Dozier firing approximately 10 rounds at Lyles from a .40 caliber handgun, officials wrote.
Detectives obtained arrest warrants for both subjects and searched diligently for the two suspects.
On Tuesday, Dozier turned himself in to the Panama City Police Police Department. He was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault with a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and firing a weapon from a vehicle.
On Wednesday, detectives and Task Force members located Lyles at a residence in the 2400 block of E. 3rd St., where he was taken into custody without incident.
Lyles has been charged with attempted murder, firing into a vehicle, and felon in possession of a firearm.

Beauregard firefighter dies in crash responding to call

Associated Press Archives Special to the American Press A volunteer firefighter from DeRidder died as the result of crash that happened while he was responding to an emergency call for service. The crash happened early Tuesday morning. Shortly after 4 a.m., Louisiana State Police Troop D began investigating the single-vehicle crash on Scallon Road south of La. 26 in Beauregard Parish. The crash claimed the life of 23-year-old Beauregard Parish volunteer fire fighter Jonathan Ashworth. The preliminary investigation revealed that Ashworth was driving a 2017 Ford F-150 west on Scallon Road while responding to an emergency call. For reasons still under investigation, the Ford traveled off the roadway to the left while in a curve and struck multiple trees. Ashworth sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. Due to the severity of the damage, restraint use for Ashworth is still being determined. A passenger in the vehicle, who was properly restrained, sustained moderate injuries. A routine toxicology sample was collected and submitted for analysis. This crash remains under investigation.

The force said its Counter Terrorism Unit is leading the investigation and inquiries are ongoing. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: 'If anyone was on Crewe Road North or in the nearby supermarket carpark during the early hours of this morning and has any relevant dashcam footage or saw anything suspicious, please contact the Police on 101 quoting reference 0416 of 15 July.' NATO Ally Scrambles Fighter Jets as Russia Strikes Near Border

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. NATO member Poland has scrambled combat aircraft due to the threat posed to its airspace by long-range Russian strikes on Ukraine, it said on Saturday. Poland's Armed Forces said fighter jets were deployed and ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems placed on high alert due to overnight Russian strikes on western Ukraine, which borders the alliance member. Newsweek has contacted the Polish Armed Forces and the Russian defense ministry by email for comment. This image from August 15, 2024 shows Polish Air Force F-16 fighters taking part in a military parade in Warsaw on Polish Army It Matters Poland's deployment of aircraft comes as NATO members near Russia have expressed alarm about Moscow flying jets close to the alliance's borders. This has raised tensions and added to concerns about Russian hybrid warfare tactics. What To Know Polish military aircraft were deployed and air defense forces put on full alert due to "long-range aviation of the Russian Federation, which strikes at objects located, in particular, in the west of Ukraine," Poland's Armed Forces said early on Saturday morning in a post on X. The post did not specify which type of aircraft were involved. This followed Russia's latest large-scale air attack on the western and central regions of Ukraine overnight. In the city of Lviv near the Polish border, an 11-year-old boy was among six people injured in the Russian strikes, according to regional governor Maksym Kozytsky. The Ukrainian Air Force said on Saturday at least 13 civilians were killed and 46 injured across seven regions in the previous 24 hours. The casualties came after Russia launched 623 aerial weapons, including Shahed-type drones, decoy drones and 26 Kh-101 cruise missiles, it added. Poland's scrambling of aircraft comes amid heightened tensions across the alliance's eastern flank over Russia's aggression. It follows another NATO member, Romania, announcing it would implement an Iron Dome defense system similar to that used by Israel. Romanian defense minister Ionuț Moșteanu told Romanian television a deal with manufacturer Rafael would be finalized this year "to defend our cities." Missiles and drone debris from the war in Ukraine have been landing in Romania and, while there is no proof these are launched at the country deliberately, the incidents are testing NATO's resolve. Roger Hilton, defense research fellow at the Slovakia-based think tank GLOBSEC, earlier told Newsweek that as NATO allies delivered on their pledges to spend 3.5 percent of GDP on core capabilities, similar air defense system announcements to improve air protection in the area were likely. What People Are Saying Poland's Armed Forces, on X, according to a translation: "Due to Russia's long-range aviation which has conducted strikes on targets located in western Ukraine and elsewhere, Polish and allied aviation have begun operations in Polish airspace." Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky: "More air defense systems are needed, along with investments in interceptor drones, which are already delivering good results." What Happens Next Russia is likely to continue to maintain its drone and missile strikes across Ukraine as Zelensky steps up his calls for Kyiv's allies to increase air defense capabilities, analysts say. Meanwhile, Germany announced on Friday it would send Ukraine hundreds of its long-range weapon systems by the end of July, under a German-financed agreement.
