Leadership initiative crowns outstanding participants During the ceremony, the club crowned winners of the 'Distinguished Participant' title as part of the Participant as Supervisor initiative, launched by the organising committee to promote leadership, responsibility, and self-discipline among the participants. The activities witnessed enthusiastic participation and were organised in cooperation with several of the club's summer partners. The awards were presented by Mohammed Sultan Al Khasooni, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club, alongside Abdullah Salem Al Ketbi, Vice Chairman of the Board. Sultan Mohammed Salem Al Ketbi won in the 13–17 age group, while the 7–12 age group title went to Sultan Abdullah Sultan Al Ketbi. Participant as supervisor leaves a lasting impact 'The Participant as Supervisor' initiative offered a symbolic yet meaningful experience, enabling participants to take on daily supervisory roles under the guidance of the organising committee. They were entrusted with tasks such as monitoring, maintaining discipline, guiding younger peers, and assisting in activity organising—all of which contributed to shaping confident and responsible future leaders. Al Khasooni: A developmental project that builds values and skills In his speech, Mohammed Sultan Al Khasooni Al Ketbi, Chairman of Mleiha Club, expressed pride in the participants' performance. He said the success of the programme reflected the integrated educational and social vision of the Sharjah Sports Council and the ongoing support it provides to enable clubs to deliver meaningful initiatives. Al Ketbi added, 'What Mleiha Club offers through Our Unique Holiday is not just summer entertainment but a developmental project that builds individuals, instills values, and refines skills. The summer supervisor initiative is a living example of what we can achieve when we place trust in our children and give them responsibility.' Looking ahead to more innovation and impact He also thanked the organising committee, supervisors, and all contributors to the programme's success, emphasising that this achievement marks the beginning of more innovative and impactful future seasons. The event concluded with the recognition of supervisors and winners and the distribution of certificates of appreciation to outstanding participants. Chelsea's Portugal forward Joao Felix joins Al Nassr

Portugal forward Joao Felix has joined Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr from Club World Cup winners Chelsea on a two-year contract, the two teams said on Tuesday. "Let's win together ... Joao Felix is a Nasraoui," Al-Nassr wrote on X, along with a short video of the striker. "I'm here to have fun and win together," the 25-year-old said. Neither club disclosed any financial details of the deal, but Sky Sports said the transfer could cost up to 43.7 million pounds ($58.17 million), consisting of an initial 26.2 million fee plus 17.5 million in potential add-ons. Felix moved from Benfica to Atletico Madrid in 2019 when he was only 19 and then joined Chelsea on loan for the 2022-2023 campaign before being loaned to Barcelona the following season. He made a permanent move to Chelsea in August 2024. After just six months, Chelsea loaned the forward to AC Milan before his latest transfer to Saudi Arabia. Felix will play alongside Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr, who are coached by compatriot Jorge Jesus. They face Al Ittihad in the Saudi Super Cup semifinals on August 19.
