'Jurassic World Rebirth's' second trailer was unveiled on May 20. The film stars Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, Mahershala Ali, and is directed by Gareth Edwards and written by David Kopp. The seventh instalment of 'Jurassic World' is set to be released on July 2 in theatres.In this film, the trio is up for a face-off against monstrous creatures referred to as monoliths, who were left behind on an island where they were once experimented on.The trailer highlights the peril of attempting to outwit dinosaurs, as a scientist is shown getting killed right at the beginning. It then introduces the island where 'the worst of the worst' dinosaurs were abandoned. Set five years after the events of 'Jurassic World Dominion', the film unfolds in a world that has largely proven inhospitable to dinosaurs. Scarlett Johansson stars as Zora Bennett, a highly skilled covert operations expert tasked with leading an elite team on a top-secret mission to retrieve genetic material. Mahershala Ali plays Duncan Kincaid, a member of her team, while Jonathan Bailey takes on the role of Dr. Henry Loomis, a palaeontologist. The team also includes a pharmaceutical representative played by Martin Krebs, with supporting roles by Philippine Velge, Bechir Sylvain, and Ed Skrein. The trailer also introduces a range of mutant dinosaurs.The team ventures deep into the tropical jungles, determined to complete their mission while ensuring the safety of the civilians they have vowed to rescue. Along the way, the true extent of the experiments becomes clear, and most strikingly, when a frightened baby dinosaur is seen crying out for help. Emerging through the red mist is the franchise's most terrifying and powerful creature yet, 'Distortus Rex', likely the result of a failed experiment on a T-Rex. With six limbs, jagged rows of teeth, and a distorted, almost tormented appearance, the D-Rex stands out as one of the most grotesque creatures in the franchise.'It's like if a T-Rex were imagined by H.R. Giger and then merged with a Rancor,' director Gareth Edwards told Empire. Chaos erupts as the team battles their way through a host of deadly predators who have ruled the island for years and don't like intruders.The trailer visually suggests a step-up in the franchise's action sequences, featuring not just land predators but also new airborne and underwater threats, including avian dinosaurs and aquatic monsters.
