Long may he reign. John Krasinski is enjoying the 'peak' of his Sexiest Man Alive title.

Yahoo23-05-2025
A chance to make the reigning Sexiest Man Alive blush? We couldn't help ourselves.
Krasinski is six months into his reign as People's annual titleholder. Like many of the leading men before him — Chris Evans! John Legend! Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson! — the actor sat for a photo shoot and interview, as is tradition. He gushed about his wife, Emily Blunt, and how he hoped the hunky honor would relieve him from household chores.
I had to do a wellness check on Krasinski since his crowning in November. Why? Well, his Fountain of Youth costar Eiza González laughed that he's 'really suffering through' the press tour for their Apple TV+ film.
"Every time people bring it up, he gets red!' she told Yahoo Entertainment when I broached the topic.
It's clear why Krasinski was chosen. The magazine, which has been anointing Hollywood's leading men with the title since 1985, doesn't necessarily crown the biggest star of the year. Instead, their choices tend to skew more toward a person who has broad appeal to the masses. (Looking at you, People's Sexiest Man of 2017, Blake Shelton, and Paul Rudd, who was crowned in 2023.)
In 2012, a People editor told USA Today the team looks at comments on their celebrity coverage throughout the year to guide their choice. Reporters also poll female stars about who should get the Sexiest Man Alive. Sure, looks are a factor, but it's more than that. Krasinski is well-liked by his peers. Both men and women enjoy his movies and TV shows. Fans want to date him, romantics ship his relationship with Blunt and people want to be his best friend.
It's also worth mentioning that the magazine won't name someone who won't play ball (cough: Ryan Gosling) and they want a star who is comfortable "owning" the superlative. Enter the 45-year-old actor.
Krasinski may not realize the universality of his appeal, though, or has nailed modesty (he's an actor, after all). He thought he was 'being punked' when he found out he nabbed the honor.
'That's not how I wake up, thinking, 'Is this the day that I'll be asked to be Sexiest Man Alive?' And yet it was the day you guys did it,' he said in the cover story.
Don't be fooled, though. This isn't the first time Krasinski embraced his sexier side in print. He set the internet ablaze when, in 2015, his Men's Health photo shoot showed he's more than just sweet Jim from The Office. 'Funnyman John Krasinski Shows Off His New SEAL-Fit Body' was the headline of one article, which did just that as he posed in a black T-shirt.
So it's no surprise then that Krasinski said he's actually "feeling pretty good" six months into his Sexiest Man Alive reign.
"I mean, I'm at the peak now, right? So from here, it all goes downhill until I lose the crown," Krasinski said. "I'm going to enjoy this moment right now."
González co-signs the title.
"He's the best. I didn't have the pleasure of knowing him before. I met [his wife] Emily [Blunt] before, who's incredibly funny. He's just such a warm human being that in the first 10 minutes of being around him, he makes you feel so welcomed," she said.
Krasinski and González's banter is on full display in Fountain of Youth. Director Guy Ritchie's family-friendly movie follows two estranged siblings (Krasinski and Natalie Portman) who reunite to go on a global heist to find the mythological Fountain of Youth. As their adventure takes them all around the world, González's character is hot on their heels to stop them from finding immortality.
"When you have [John's] energy, it allows for really good banter,' she explained, 'and he comes up with great ideas."
González also praised Krasinski's comedic skills, which he honed filming The Office for nearly a decade. "When you're improvising so much, that allows and gives you a whole other quality as an actor,' she said. "I was really happy to be around that energy."
premieres on Apple TV+ on May 23.

Gabriel Iglesias, Who Paid $100K for His Dog's Quinceañera, Welcomes New Pup After Losing Two Pets

Comedian Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias is known for his devotion to his pets, and now he has a new pup to spoil. This year, Iglesias welcomed a teacup Chihuahua, Roka, to his family. The tiny black dog arrived at a sensitive time. Iglesias recently mourned the loss of his two beloved Chihuahuas, Vinnie and Risa. Risa is likely known to many, especially fans of Iglesias, as the canine the comedian treated to a $100K quinceñera when the dog turned 15. She died in September 2024 at the age of 16. Unfortunately, Risa and Vinnie developed health problems around the same time, which made their close-together losses difficult on their devoted dog dad. "While finding out that Risa had serious kidney issues, we discovered that Vinnie also had his own health issues. It was months of going back and forth to the ER before they both unfortunately passed away. I was grateful to have them for as many years as I did. The last eight years, they literally became my road dogs. They toured with me everywhere, visiting 40+ states," Iglesias tells PEOPLE of the impact of his late pets. Initially, the plan was to welcome a new pup to his pack before Vinnie and Risa died, but the timing didn't work out. "I have had a Chihuahua in my life since I was 12 years old. At times, I have had more than one Chihuahua at a time. Bringing a new dog into the mix is something I have done in the past. I knew, based on my dogs' ages and health issues, that I needed to do this sooner rather than later. Unfortunately, Roka arrived after losing both Risa and Vinnie," he explains. Iglesias is happy Roka is here now. Her youthful energy and love have been a balm for the star as he continues to grieve Vinnie and Risa. "The amount of energy a puppy has compared to a senior dog is night and day. It reminds me that I'm not getting any younger," Igelsias shares. "All she wants to do is play, explore, and chew on things. She has more toys than I ever had as a child. All of her puppy energy does not allow for being sad, as I am too out of breath from chasing her." Roka has been a rock for Iglesias this summer and has stepped in as the comedian's go-to travel companion. Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. "Roka has already been to 15 states and two countries. The goal is to hit all 50 states," the pet parent shares. "She is sweet and loving with a select few. Full of energy and bark! Curious and playful! And has me wrapped around her paw!" Iglesias adds. Read the original article on People

Where Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson have been hiding as romance blossoms

Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson have kept their blossoming romance under wraps by spending time at the model's house in Canada, according to a new report. 'Pam cooks and gardens at home. It's wholesome and appealing and very un-Hollywood, and Liam loves that,' a source told the Daily Mail Wednesday, adding that Neeson 'actually gets involved' in Anderson's daily activities. While the outlet claimed that the two have been dating 'for a while,' People reported that their 'budding romance' is still 'in the early stages.' Regardless, 'sparks' are said to have flown when they filmed their 'Naked Gun' movie together in Atlanta last spring. 'Pam is very drawn to Liam because he is totally open to her way of thinking and living … especially her approach to fame, which is impressive,' the Daily Mail's source said. 'She has been telling friends he is smitten and does a lot of sweet things for her, like sending her flowers and spending time with her sons and dogs.' An insider told Page Six earlier Wednesday that 'getting close to him has been on her mind since she was cast' in the action-comedy, noting that 'she has always found him attractive and interesting.' And although the public is eager to know the exact status of their relationship, we're told the co-stars are 'figuring things out along the way.' Neeson, 73, revealed in October 2024 that he was 'madly in love' with Anderson, 58, calling her 'terrific to work with.' 'I can't compliment her enough, I'll be honest with you,' he gushed to People at the time, adding that the actress was 'funny' and had 'no huge ego.' Anderson returned the favor by calling the actor 'the perfect gentleman' who 'brings out the best in you … with respect, kindness and depth of experience.' The 'Baywatch' star also admitted to their instant 'chemistry' in a May interview with 'Entertainment Weekly.' Then last week, while promoting their film in London, Anderson kissed the 'Schindler's List' star on the cheek on the red carpet. The pair later brought their respective sons to the New York City premiere, where they posed for pictures together as one, big, happy family. While they acknowledged their flirtatious rapport on a 'Today' show appearance earlier this week, Anderson and Neeson insisted on playing coy about their real-life relationship. Fever's Sophie Cunningham predicts new venture will get her canceled

Sophie Cunningham's popularity has soared this season. Her social media followers have more than doubled since joining the Indiana Fever and becoming a standout player and "The Enforcer" alongside Caitlin Clark. Now, Cunningham plans on letting her fans get a closer look at her life. Cunningham is starting a podcast with Summer House TV star West Wilson. According to People, the pair have known each other since they grew up together in Columbia, Missouri. The podcast will be called Show Me Something. Wilson thinks the duo is getting into this at the perfect time: "There's no better time to hop into the WNBA than right now," he told People. The pair plans to talk about a little bit of everything. "We're definitely going to hit on the WNBA, a huge topic in sports right now, and then Bravo, clearly, but pop culture, food, fashion, travel, let's spread this thing wide open because we really do talk about anything," Cunningham said. Cunningham predicted that she might "get canceled real fast." That's because she doesn't plan on holding back. "We're lighthearted, and sometimes our love language is, like, s--- talking," Cunningham said. "It'll be cool that people can see our humor, what we're actually like and, it's coming from us and not from other people perceiving or portraying what they think we are." This is Cunningham's seventh season in the WNBA after starring at Missouri. She'll join the growing ranks of basketball players with podcasts. Cunningham played with Phoenix for six seasons before joining Indiana this season. She has averaged 7.5 points per game for the Fever, and now she'll get to show off her talking skills, too.
