B-2 Mystery After Iran Strikes: Where Is The US Stealth Bomber
A US Air Force bombing operation targeting Iran's nuclear facilities has taken an unexpected turn. One group of the B-2 Spirit stealth bombers involved has reportedly not returned to base, raising questions about its whereabouts.
The US deployed two separate groups of B-2 bombers from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri on June 21. One formation flew westward over the Pacific — reportedly to mislead Iranian defences — while the second formation, consisting of seven B-2s, headed east to strike Tehran's underground nuclear facilities at Fordo and Natanz, according to a EurAsian Times report published on June 27.
The strike team completed its mission and returned to base after a non-stop 37-hour round trip. But little is known about the decoy team that flew towards the Pacific.
What has emerged, however, is that at least one aircraft from that group was forced to make an emergency landing in Hawaii.
The stealth bomber in question reportedly touched down at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport, which shares runways with Hickam Air Force Base in Honolulu. A video of the aircraft surfaced online, adding to the mystery surrounding its condition and the exact reason for its diversion and landing.
B2 Stealth bomber sitting alone and guarded in Honolulu International. Just captured this on the taxi out. No reports online of a B2 here. This is the closest I've been to one. @grok says: There are no reports of a B-2 stealth bomber currently stationed or 'sitting' at Daniel… pic.twitter.com/jlPl3MwiNd

No details have been released regarding the nature of the emergency or how long the stealth bomber might remain grounded.
This incident is not isolated. B-2 bombers have made unplanned landings in Hawaii before as well. In April 2023, a similar emergency landing occurred at Hickam, prompting the temporary grounding of the entire B-2 fleet after a separate crash in Missouri in late 2022.
The aircraft involved in the April incident remained in Hawaii for weeks before being cleared. Another B-2 had to be transported to Northrop Grumman's facility in Palmdale, California, for repairs in 2021 following a similar incident.
But the most severe B-2 mishap occurred in 2008, when the 'Spirit of Kansas' crashed shortly after takeoff from Andersen Air Force Base in Guam. The aircraft was destroyed, though both crew members ejected safely.
The B-2 Spirit bombers, a key part of the US nuclear deterrent strategy, are known for their cutting-edge stealth technology and flexible mission capabilities.

87% of voter enumeration forms distributed: EC
Patna: The Election Commission on Friday said the first round of visits by booth level officers (BLOs) to nearly 1.5 crore households across Bihar had been completed with over 87% of enumeration forms distributed under the ongoing special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now The revision exercise, which began last month, has faced stiff opposition from political parties who met Election Commission officials in Patna and New Delhi to demand a halt. However, the EC reiterated that the SIR was aimed at ensuring comprehensive inclusion of all eligible voters. The commission clarified that the remaining 13% of households were yet to be covered due to various reasons, such as locked homes, deaths, migration, or temporary travel. "Since the BLO will visit each house three times during the exercise, these figures are expected to rise," an EC statement said. The EC added that 1,54,977 booth level agents (BLAs) appointed by different political parties were actively supporting the process. According to official data, the BJP appointed 52,689 BLAs, followed by 47,504 from the RJD, 34,669 from JD(U), 16,500 from the Congress and others from smaller parties such as CPI(ML), LJP (Ram Vilas), CPI(M), BSP and AAP. Each BLA is permitted to submit up to 50 certified forms daily. So far, around 5% of signed forms, about 38 lakh, have already been collected. As per the EC guidelines, to be included in the draft electoral roll (due to be published on Aug 1), electors must submit the signed pre-printed enumeration form by July 25. The final rolls will be published on Sept 30.

Enumeration forms given to 87% electors in Bihar for voter list revision, says Election Commission
The Election Commission (EC) on Friday (July 4, 2025) said that over 87% of the enumeration forms had already been distributed to nearly 1.5 crore households in Bihar as part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Nearly 5% of voters have already submitted the forms. Editorial | Careful curation: On Bihar's Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls The last date for submission of the forms is July 25, 2025. In case an individual does not submit the form by that date, the applicant's name will not figure in the draft electoral roll to be published on August 1, 2025. House visits to continue The first visit of the booth-level officers (BLOs) to nearly 1.5 crore households in the State was completed on Friday (July 4, 2025). Enumeration forms were given to 6,86,17,932 of the total 7,89,69,844 electors in Bihar who are enrolled as of June 24, 2025, the EC said in a statement. 'The remaining houses could be locked, or of dead electors, or of migrants or of those who may be travelling,' it added. Since the BLOs will be visiting the houses of the electors thrice during the exercise, these figures are likely to increase further. Nearly five per cent of filled-up and signed forms — nearly 38 lakh forms — have already been received by the BLOs. As per SIR, in order to get one's name in the draft electoral roll to be published on August 1, 2025, the strict condition is that an elector should sign and submit the pre-printed enumeration form before July 25, 2025 along with the stipulated documents. The EC has given a list of 11 documents that can be attached to prove the applicant's eligibility as a voter. Final list in September Simultaneous verification of the uploaded forms has also been started. The poll body has said that verification will start vigorously from August 2, 2025, onwards after the publication of the draft electoral rolls. On the basis of the draft rolls, claims and objections will be received from political parties or members of the public from August 2, 2025. The final electoral rolls will be published on September 30. Appeals can also be filed thereafter with the District Magistrate and the Chief Electoral Officer.

Nuclear Inspectors Have Left Iran: UN Watchdog
UN nuclear watchdog inspectors left Iran on Friday, according to the agency, which called for the resumption of its "indispensable monitoring" after the Islamic republic officially suspended its cooperation. The suspension came after last month's 12-day conflict between Iran and Israel, which saw unprecedented Israeli and US strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities and escalated tensions between Tehran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). "An IAEA team of inspectors today safely departed from Iran to return to the agency headquarters in Vienna, after staying in Tehran throughout the recent military conflict," the IAEA said in a post on X. "IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi reiterated the crucial importance of the IAEA discussing with Iran modalities for resuming its indispensable monitoring and verification activities in Iran as soon as possible," it added. Iran officially suspended its cooperation with the UN nuclear watchdog on Wednesday. On June 25, a day after a ceasefire took hold, Iranian lawmakers voted overwhelmingly to suspend the cooperation. The law aims to "ensure full support for the inherent rights of the Islamic Republic of Iran" under the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, with a particular focus on uranium enrichment, according to Iranian media. Washington, which has been pressing Tehran to resume the negotiations that were interrupted by Israel's resort to military action on June 13, has hit out at the Iranian decision, calling it "unacceptable".
