Edinburgh TikToker finds the 'best roll he has ever had' at unassuming takeaway
A TikToker has shared another of Edinburgh's hidden gems on his quest to find some of the best scran in the city.
Charlie Roscoe believes he has found the best roll he's ever had in the city from an unassuming eatery in Granton after he received great food and service from the Waterfront Takeaway.
The Edinburgh foodie wanted to share a takeaway that none of his followers would know, and decided that the Granton Square restaurant was the perfect one to highlight.
Not only was he blown away by the "basic but bold" Lorne sausage and egg roll, he also praised the service he received.
Reviewing his experience, Charlie said: "This thing smelled insane, something about the bread was genuinely opening my lungs up! Like, I could get addicted to this.
"The bread was also warm which is a small touch but it makes all the difference. The egg, sauce and butter were good and sloppy while the sausage was steamy.
"Rest assured, this is the best roll i've had in this city. I don't know how and I don't know why but something deep within just tells me so."
He went on to proclaim the roll "perfect" giving it a rating of 10 out of 10.

In the comments, fans of the unsuspecting establishment gushed over the food and service.
One person said: "Best wee cafe with the best staff. Love this place."
While another added: "This is one of my favs! The haggis is incredible there!"
And a third said: "That's only the best roll in the world!"

'I wasn't invited to Charli XCX's wedding but I tasted a slice of the cake'
A woman has gone viral after tasting Charli XCX's wedding cake on TikTok despite not being invited to the event. Commenters are divided, with some wondering if the pop star might want her cake back It looks like some of us are still having a Brat summer. A woman has gone viral online after taking home Charli XCX's wedding cake – despite not being invited to the ceremony. The 'Brat' singer tied the knot with 1975 drummer George Daniels in Hackney, London on July 19, in a ceremony that has been praised by fans as lowkey. Charli XCX was seen wearing a short Vivienne Westwood gown and enjoying a late-night after party. However, a TikToker has taken the 'lowkey' aspect perhaps a step too far, after showing off Charli XCX's leftover cake. The TikTok user, who goes by Daughter of a Hoarder, posted a video of her walking along the streets of East London yesterday holding the wedding cake. The caption read: 'taste test pending'. READ MORE: Brat summer or brat bummer? Charli XCX's 'embarrassing' Coachella outfit leaves fans divided In a follow-up video, she explained that her friend works in the restaurant where George and Charli had their wedding reception the night before. There was some cake left over and offered for her to 'swing by' and get a slice, where he then boxed up a slice for and her boyfriend to enjoy. But then she said: 'And then, I think it was the owner of the restaurant, was just like, 'Do you just want it? It's going to go in the bin.'' She added: 'I think they'd been eating away at it all day and I couldn't really turn that down.' The cake had a fig on top and a vanilla buttercream icing. She said that she'd tried cake from Violet Cakes in London Fields and that she didn't 'doubt it would be delicious'. After cutting off a slice for herself in front of the camera, she held up a piece of the sponge and declared: 'Cheers' before popping it in her mouth. 'Mmm, lovely,' came the verdict. 'I obviously told my girl group chat what I was doing…and they were like, 'you should sell a slice'. But that feels wrong,' she continued. Instead, she said her plan was to freeze the 'big bit' and eat her slice. She said she wanted to save the rest of the cake for 'the gang'. 'How fun for everyone to be able to say they've had a nibble of Charli and George's wedding cake. We're big stans, as a collective,' she said. She then showed a picture of herself at Charli XCX's Glastonbury performance. While some comments described the review as 'iconic 'and an 'historical event', others were not so pleased with the video. 'What if she wants it back,' the top-voted comment reads. 'Is this considered theft,' another joked. 'Maybe I'm too superstitious but you're not supposed to do something like this,' a third said. Another added: 'It feels like a huge invasion of privacy.' However, others were coming to A Daughter of a Hoarder's defence. One user pointed out: 'As someone who works in a restaurant it is very common that people don't want to take the rest of their wedding cake home with them, and then everyone in the kitchen gets to chow down on it. It's really not weird."

Mum-of-six on holiday in Spain slammed for claiming sunbeds for her ‘big family' first thing & then going for a DAY OUT
Plus, experts weigh in on whether you should reserve your sunbed with a towel on holiday POOL DRAMA Mum-of-six on holiday in Spain slammed for claiming sunbeds for her 'big family' first thing & then going for a DAY OUT Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A MOTHER-OF-SIX has come under fire after claiming sunbeds for her family first thing in the morning - only to then head out for the day. Mum and TikToker Stephanie was slammed after she revealed she claimed several sunbeds at the pool area for her ''big family''. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 2 Once the sunbeds had been reserved, Stephanie and the brood then went for a day out for the day Credit: TIKTOK/@mummyandmilliemaex 2 As well as having a hearty breakfast, the family also went shopping - and only then returned to the poolside Credit: TIKTOK//@mummyandmilliemaex But rather than chilling outside and soaking up the glorious sunshine by the pool, Stephanie then went for a day out with her bumper brood. The family, her TikTok page revealed, are currently enjoying a holiday in Spain - despite the mum confessing her ''annual leave hasn't been approved''. Once the sunbeds had been claimed by placing their towels on top, Stephanie and her family went on a stroll to find a breakfast spot. ''We have come as a big family, so we have to be there early,'' Stephanie explained her logic behind the move. For brekkie, the mum showed in the clip, the brood opted for pancakes topped with appeared to be scrambled egg, a frittata, toast and baked beans. ''These did not disappoint. We came here every day for breakfast - it's amazing.'' A while later, after the family had devoured the dishes, the sun-soaked Brits headed for a mini shopping trip in the area. It wasn't until Stephanie and the bumper brood had finished shopping for clothes that they returned to the accommodation - and finally enjoyed the poolside, as well as their sun loungers. Since being posted online, the clip has amassed more than 115k views in just two days - and the mum has been shamed for claiming the sunbeds. More than 600 people gave the video a like, as over 560 others flooded to comments to share their thoughts - and criticism. Fuming holidaymakers foil fellow Brits sneaky plans to secure sunbeds seven hours before hotel pool opens One person was baffled, writing: ''I can't believe you claim the sunbeds and then leave.'' Someone else was just as stunned, commenting: ''Why claim sun beds if you're going out for the day?'' A third chimed in with their approach: ''All hotels should do the same thing. Experts weigh in on whether you should reserve your sunbed with a towel on holiday EVERY summer, hotels become the sites of frantic battles, as guests try to reserve the best loungers with their towels first thing in the morning. But etiquette and elegance expert Katarina, who shares her expert opinions about manners on TikTok at @ says people need to be less selfish and more considerate of other hotel guests. In the footage, she said: "If you're staying at a hotel, avoid blocking the sunbeds if you're not planning on staying. It's disrespectful toward other guests. "Unless the hotel has a reservation system in place, only occupy the sunbeds when you're staying by the pool." Renowned etiquette expert, William Hanson, believes there is a 30-minute grace period on poolside reservations. This is where hotel guests can use a towel or a book to reserve a spot for no longer than half an hour. William told the Sun Online Travel: "In the morning, at the start of the day, and you're by the pool after breakfast, then it's fine at 8.30 to put your towel on the bed to reserve your spot. "But later on in the day after you've used the lounger, and go off for a massage, for example, which is going to be an hour, then you can't use a towel to reserve the sun lounger." If you're grabbing some grub at lunchtime, William said holidaymakers are allowed to eat at the hotel bar or restaurant providing you're not gone longer than 30 minutes. He said: "It also gives your towel time to dry off." William said despite the grace period, "You can't hog the sun lounger for the entire day." Meanwhile, Laura Akano, the Principal Coach and Trainer at Polished Manners doesn't believe holidaymakers have a right to reserve a lounger at all. She told the Sun Online Travel: "I think it should be a first come first serve basis - if the resort doesn't have a booking system." ''After 30 mins of not been on sun lounger, towels are removed and other people get them.'' Many eagle-eyed social media users also spotted the sorry state of the sun loungers - which hundreds thought belonged ''in a prison exercise yard''. ''Rather lie on the floor than those beds,'' a person joked. ''I'd have to jet wash them beds 1st,'' a TikToker chimed in. Fake daughter, phoney son & AI generated wife – how shameless influencers are cashing in on Andy Byron kiss cam scandal
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) SHAMELESS influencers have turned the Coldplay kiss cam scandal into a viral bonanza of misinformation, AI fakes and outright impersonation. Online opportunists have been scrambling to cash in from the chaos - all for more online views and clout. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 13 The moment Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and Chief People Officer Cabot appeared on Coldplay's 'kiss cam' 13 Tiktoker Marina went viral after claiming her dad's affair made national news Credit: Tiktok/@thatmarinagirll 13 The influencer shared sevral bogus posts reacting to Andy Byron's scandal Credit: Tiktok/@thatmarinagirll Caught canoodling alleged mistress and HR boss Kristin Cabot at a Coldplay concert in Boston, Astronomer CEO Andy Byron has since resigned from the $1.3 billion company amid an internal probe and global scrutiny. Even though the shocking kiss cam clip is real, there has been a minefield of fabricated family members, botched AI statements, and dodgy drama-hungry TikTokers. It started with a TikTok user named thatmarinagirll, who posted a moody clip of herself by a bonfire, captioned: 'Reconnecting with life after your dad's affair makes national news.' The video exploded – racking up 5.1 million likes and over 37 million views – with viewers believing she was Byron's distraught daughter. Marina went on to post her friend's reaction to her "dad's" ordeal, and in a separate post, the fake daughter posts a snap of her crying, with the caption "probably needed a hug". She even teased to film a 30-part video series explaining everything. But it all turned out to be a lie. Hindustan Times and BollywoodShaadis both confirmed that Byron and his wife Megan Kerrigan have two sons, not a daughter. Family photos on Kerrigan's now-deleted Facebook page also back this up. Even Elon Musk's AI bot Grok weighed in to debunk the claim, stating: 'There is no credible evidence of anyone named Marina being Andy Byron's daughter… This claim seems baseless or mistaken.' Coldplay fan who filmed CEO 'cheating' with HR chief at gig takes swipe at couple 13 Marina posted a chat screenshot with her alleged pal's shocked messages Credit: Tiktok/@thatmarinagirll 13 Andy Byron is known to have two sons with his wife Megan Kerrigan Byron (pictured), not a daughter Credit: Facebook Another viral TikTok user, Joe Castle Baker, posted a dramatic video claiming to be Byron's 'angry' and 'devastated' son. He even blamed Coldplay for not providing 'confidentiality' during their concert. Despite a flood of sympathy in the comments, his claims were also debunked. The other man is not related to Byron in any way, he simply jumped on the trend, reports National World. The real Byron sons remain silent and offline for now. TikTokers like Marina and Joe could earn good cash from video views through the TikTok Creator Fund. If they decide to monetise the videos, they're paid a small amount per 1,000 views based on engagement and other metrics. In their case, videos that make millions of views would bring a good chunk of money into their pockets. In a separate viral clip, a bizarre AI-generated 'Megan Kerrigan' appears in front of dramatic footage of the kiss cam scandal, delivering a tearful monologue and misnaming her husband as 'Byron Andy.' The synthetic voice says: 'I am Megan, Byron Andy's wife. 'Seeing that recent video completely shattered my heart.' She then claims the video 'pushed me to the brink of collapse,' blaming both her husband and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin for magnifying her pain. Worse still, a Facebook account impersonating Megan Kerrigan Byron has been spewing a torrent of fake updates. 13 Joe Castle Baker posted a dramatic video claiming to be Byron's 'angry' and 'devastated' son Credit: Tiktok/@joecastlebaker 13 A fake AI-generated video from his 'heartbroken' wife has gone viral with claims of a 'deeply personal mistake' Credit: Facebook Created on July 18, the bogus account posted: 'Not sure I can ever forgive Andy for such a disgrace.' That post alone gathered 1.8k reactions and over a thousand comments. Other posts included a golf course picture and fake updates: 'Thank y'all for the sweet messages, the encourage and the love… I'll take time to respond to y'all later.' The impersonator didn't stop there. In a longer fake post, 'Megan' announced a divorce and plans to seek alimony — asking followers for 'moral support' and even hinting at financial assistance. The fake wife's final act was posting the kiss cam video itself, captioned: 'This is really heartbreaking, wish this video can be taken off the internet!' In reality, the real Megan Kerrigan has removed her married surname from social media and deleted both Facebook and Instagram entirely. The real story While the avalanche of impersonations is fake, the kiss cam video that sparked it all is painfully real. And more footage captured from behind their seats, obtained by TMZ, shows the pair silhouetted by stage lights as Coldplay performed 'Yellow'. Byron and Cabot were caught cuddling at Coldplay's Boston show, their faces splashed across Gillette Stadium's jumbo screen as Chris Martin quipped: 'They're either having an affair… or they're very shy.' Seconds later, Byron dropped his arm and ducked behind a barrier as Cabot covered her face. As he caught view of himself, Byron appeared to say "f****** hell, it's me". Martin added, laughing nervously: 'Oh s***, I hope we didn't do something bad.' 13 Andy Byron resigned from his CEO post after working at the tech firm for more than two years Credit: LinkedIn 13 A video obtained by TMZ appears to show the pair kissing (centre) during Coldplay's concert Credit: TMZ 13 The moment Chris Martin spots the alleged affair on the kiss cam Credit: @calebu2/TMX 13 Mr Byron dived to hide behind the barrier while Cabot turned and covered her face Credit: tiktok/instaagraace The fan who captured the original kiss cam moment told The U.S. Sun she had no idea the couple were senior tech executives. Cabot, who goes by Kristin Cabot Thornby on LinkedIn, remains married herself, according to property records obtained by the Daily Mail. The alleged mistress is also reportedly married into one of the most elite and wealthiest dynasties in American history. The scandal has also sparked a deluge of fake statements and memes — from a phoney Coldplay apology to a fake Byron 'confession' quoting Fix You lyrics. One viral fake claimed Byron was taking accountability for a 'deeply personal mistake,' ending with: 'Lights will guide you home, and ignite your bones, and I will try to fix you.' Astronomer's spokesperson swiftly shut that down, telling TMZ: 'This is not a real statement.' Another viral joke post, allegedly from Coldplay's official X account, promised future concerts would include 'camera-free audience sections for people and their sidepieces.' Grok again jumped in, saying: 'This screenshot is fabricated… Likely a joke.' Even more bizarre was a fake firing claim by a man named Alex Cohen, who wrote that he was let go from Astronomer for booking the Coldplay tickets that led to the kiss cam moment. The chaos has also rippled through Astronomer, with employees and ex-staffers reacting with glee and disbelief. 'Group chats were blowing up,' one former colleague told the New York Post. 13 Kristin Cabot is Astronomer's Chief People Officer Credit: Linkedin
